"And why not?"

Both Jenny and Jungkook turned towards the voice.

"Ta..Taehyung wh..what are you doing here?" Jenny asked in fear of being caught.

"That's not the answer to my question Jenny. I asked you why Jungkook can't come to the fresher's party?" Taehyung asked in a stern voice.

"Hyung it's ok. I wasn't going to go anyways." Jungkook said trying to calm the situation. The last thing he needs is for Taehyung to pick a fight because of him.

"Kookie it doesn't matter if you were going to go or not. What matters is you being treated unfairly. And I for one won't stand for it." Taehyung said leaving no chance for talking.

"So I ask you once again Jenny, why isn't Kookie invited to the fresher's party. He is a fresher and it's a "fresher's party", so then what's the problem?"

By now a small crowd had already formed around them. Everyone trying to gather as much information as they can to start gossiping. Everyone knows about Jenny and Taehyung, the students even has bets placed to see if Jenny gives up on Taehyung and decides to move on or Taehyung will finally give in and say yes to her. Some ships them and some hates Jenny but either way they are excited to see a new drama happening in front of their eyes. All the Bangtans stood at a distance, not bothering to get involved. They know Taehyung will handle it.

"Taehyung you are humiliating me and that too for what, for this slut."

The word didn't leave her mouth and a sound echoed throughout the corridor. Taehyung had slapped her. Everyone froze around them. There was pindrop silence. Jungkook had tears in his eyes. The Bangtans were shocked too. They never expected Taehyung to actually slap her.

"You slapped me for this.."

"Don't you dare complete that sentence Jenny. I warned you yesterday to not say shit about him. I guess you didn't take my words seriously. Now I hope I have made myself clear. Listen here everyone." Taehyung said grabbing everyone's attention.

"The fresher's party for this year will be held at the 'Trance' this Friday. Everyone is invited. You are welcome to go to Jenny's party or you can came to ours, the choice is yours." Taehyung said.

This time it's not just the students even the Bangtans had their jaw on the floor. For the students it was a once in a lifetime opportunity. I mean we are talking about a party thrown by the Bangtans themselves. You have to be a fool to let this chance go. The Bangtans on the other hand was cursing Taehyung in their minds.

"You are doing wrong Taehyung, you'll regret this. You have only seen my love till now but you haven't seen my hate. Don't make me hate you Tae." Jenny said angrily.

"I never asked for your love neither I care about your hate. You are free to feel however the hell you want. But the moment you hurt any of my friends all bets are off. And right now my friend circle include Jungkook too. You hurt him and you are hurting me. I am sorry for slapping you but if you repeat this shit again then you'll see my devil side." Taehyung said and turned around facing the crowd.

"And that goes to everyone else too. Jungkook is our friend. If anyone speaks bad about him or give him a hard time you'll be answerable to the Bangtans. You all know me. You know what I do to people who hurt my friends. So you better heed my words."Taehyung finished addressing the crowd.

Jungkook was frozen on the spot. Not only Taehyung slapped a girl because of him and now he is throwing a party for the whole college just because he wasn't invited to it. He could feel everyone's stares on him. He knows he is the current hot topic. He can only imagine the rumors that are going to spread. Jungkook isn't scared of what they are gonna say about him, he just doesn't like the fact that he caused trouble for his friends again. But it still didn't stop the butterflies dancing in his tummy when Taehyung called him his friend and stood up for him in front of the whole college. He feels protected.

"Come Kookie let's go from here." Taehyung said holding Jungkook's hand. And once again those damn butterflies kept playing football in his stomach. He like the feeling of Taehyung's hand. It's warm and strong just like him.

Taehyung kept walking holding Jungkook's hand while everyone just watched with their mouths hanging open. Jenny stormed off angrily. Taehyung saw his friends standing at a distance, so he went towards them with Jungkook following him like a puppy. Taehyung knows he has a lot of explaining to do since he basically just pushed all his friends under the bus. He just hopes they won't beat the shit out of him especially Suga since it's his club that Taehyung oh so graciously offered to host the party at, speaking of which he still doesn't know what possessed him to offer throwing a fresher's party.

He absolutely hates those and yet here he is throwing one himself all for a guy who makes him feel all weird. He even slapped Jenny for God's sake. He has never raised a hand on a girl ever and today he did again for Jungkook. It's like his hands and mouth were possessed and was not in his control. He had heard the entire conversation between Jenny and Jungkook, all of the Bangtans did. They had just entered inside when the heard Jungkook's voice. They were about to go to him when they heard what Jenny said and stopped on their tracks.

Jenny was trying to hurt Jungkook, he could clearly see that, but what Jungkook said about them made him feel proud for being his friend. But when Jenny said that Jungkook was not invited to the fresher's party he decided to get involved. To be honest he didn't decide anything. His feet just started moving on their own. Like he said he is possessed. It's not like he cares about a stupid fresher's party. But if Jungkook is not invited then he is throwing a bloody party for him. He even threatened the whole college for God's sake. Again his mouth was possessed.

And now he is holding his hands. But has to admit he loves the feeling of Jungkook's hand in his. His hands are so small and soft like a baby's hand and he loves the contrast of Jungkook's small hand in his big one. He wished he could hold onto Jungkook's hand for a while longer. But unfortunately for him he had already reached his friends side, so he had no other option than to let his hand go.

"That was a very nice speech you gave there Taehyung." Suga said.

Taehyung knew he was in trouble when suga said his name like that.

"Uhmm about that Suga I am sorry for offering up your club for the party without asking you. But I didn't have another option." Taehyung said apologetically.

"Yeah you did, Uhm I don't know how about let say not throw a fucking party for the whole damn college in my fucking club." Suga said.

"Hyung please don't curse at Taehyungie hyung. It's not his fault. He did it for me. So if you want to curse you can curse me." Jungkook said in a small voice.

"Aww kookie we are not angry at you and it's not your fault, so don't blame yourself and Suga is not angry at Tae too. It's just how we talk. So don't feel bad alright." Jin said comforting Kookie.

" Yes Kookie I am not angry at you or at this shithead and Taehyung doesn't need to ask me before planning a party at my club. He is my best friend so he doesn't need my permission, but that doesn't mean I won't beat the shit out of him for throwing us under the bus." Suga said

"And Tae I didn't know you had it in you to slap Jenny. I mean you have threatened her many times before but never done anything. But I must say I enjoyed it. I had wanted to slap that stupid smirk of her face many times. But i am happy just watching you do it." Jimin said.

"That isn't a very nice thing to say Jimin. I know that Jenny is a pain in the ass but that still doesn't excuse what Tae did." Joon said.

"I know I shouldn't have slapped her, but you heard what she called Jungkook. What would you have done if she had called Jin that? And besides I am done with her shit. It's been 2 years Joon. No matter how rudely I behave with her she still doesn't seem to get the message that I have absolutely no interest in her. I don't like being mean to her all the time but she leaves me no options. If me slapping her would finally knock some sense into her then I am happy with it." Taehyung said.

"Enough about all this now, we'll talk later. Now we are getting late for class. Let's go now." Jin said.

"Yeah let's go." Hobi said

They all went towards their respective classes.

"Taehyungie hyung." Kookie called him suddenly.

"What happened Kookie?" Why did you stop?" Taehyung asked

"I wanted to say thank you hyung. What you did for.." Kookie didn't get to finish before Taehyung interrupted.

"Stop. You don't have to say thank you for everything Kookie. I told you already that you are not alone anymore and we won't let anyone hurt you. I am just keeping my word kookie that's it. So can you please stop with the thank yous and sorrys." Taehyung said.

Kookie just nodded his head smiling.

"Now come on let's go." Taehyung took Kookie's hands once again before dragging him with him.
