《》Chapter Four

From their faces, more so that of Minato and Sakumo, I could tell that I had surprised them with my answer. Most four-year-old's would be more focused on be amazing shinobi or even in some cases Hokage.
But that had never been what I had wanted even if at one point my dream had been to become a Fuinjutsu Master after hearing Naruto talk about it a few times.
But I wasn't a real child, just in body only.
"That's a good goal and dream to have," finally spoke up Minato with Sakumo nodding in agreement. "It's what I also hope to begin achieving once I reach Hokage myself."
"It isn't something that can be done alone," I said softly face burning red as I looked off toward the side and not at the intense looks both adults were giving me. "In order to reach true peace, one needs to also be willing to ask for help and have others help them reach it."
That was something I had begun to understand later and closer to before I died. It made me even look up to Jiraiya even more considering he had understood that.
His death had hit Naruto and me hard.
"He's got you there," teased Sakumo to Minato who gave a small sheepish chuckle. "Either way I have an idea where your training is and where to begin at or push further upon."
"Thank you for taking on my training Hatake-sensei," I said seriously with a small respectful bow that had the older man sheepishly moving forward to pull me back up right. "It really is an honor to be taught by you."
Which was the complete truth considering Sakumo stood on the same standing as the three Sannin. Not that many would remember that after he commits suicide and gets all but erased from history.

Truly, there had been so much injustice done to Hatake Sakumo.
"For now, why don't you go with Kakashi here to get something to eat?" asked Sakumo with a wave of his hand while Kakashi nodded while moving to stand on my other side.
Something told me that the adults just wanted to speak, maybe about why Minato had come over, so needed Kakashi and I to make ourselves scarce.
Either way I gave a nod of agreement and followed behind Kakashi who began to amble through the house and out the front door to head for the main district.
But even so a part of me would never get used to the more trusting and hands-off approach here, where a four-year-old would be seen as old enough in a shinobi household, if showing the right maturity, to go out on their own.
That wasn't how we were treated in the future in the Inuzuka Clan.
"Where would you like to eat?" I asked while taking a look around us with a bit more curiosity considering before this I hadn't payed the village much attention.
It was slightly surprising to see how different the set up was compared to what it was like in my time, then again, we had to reconstruct twice from when Kurama attacked the village to when Pein attacked as well.
"Akimichi BBQ," answered Kakashi as we got closer to the Clan district part of the village and where the Akimichi was settled right near the market district since they owned a lot of the restaurants and such. "Dad said they had some really good food."
"Alright," I said as we walked forward and into the restaurant before realizing it was a place where you sat yourself. "Want one of the back tables?"

He didn't disagree so that is where we settled down on either side of the table having to sit on our knees to be able to see across the table, curse our short baby height. It was hilarious though to be honest and also terrifying that by the age of six Kakashi would be a Genin for Konoha while others his age would be home still.
"How can I help you two today?" asked the waitress who looked to belong to the Akimichi Clan since she was wearing their Clan symbol.
****
We didn't spend much time inside the restaurant before we were once more going on our way after Kakashi had paid for the food. It was as we were leaving that we almost ran directly into the original Ino-Shika-Cho team.
This wasn't my day it seemed as I fought back my flinch at catching sight of Shikaku more so than the others. Shikamaru had taken too much after his father after all.
"Sorry," I said softly while stepping to the side with Kakashi slightly in front of me. "Hadn't seen you there."
"It's alright," answered Inoichi with a bright smile even as he skipped forward to get into my face making me pull away. "You have really pretty face markings!"
I had received my face markings earlier than Rin, mainly because I had met the requirements, even if Inuzuka-sama had wanted me to have the Inuzuka Clan markings instead of the purple ones that I knew Rin would receive for being a new Branch member to the Clan.
Even so, my hand slowly raised to brush against the still sensitive markings. They would be even more so if I ended up getting and being accepted by a canine partner again, which brought another pang of sorrow ripping through me.
"Thank you," I said still leaning a bit away from the too close child. "I think you have really pretty eyes."
"We should be getting back," called out Kakashi as he grabbed my hand to tug me away from the others who looked to be a bit older than us.
That was when it hit me, the Ino-Shika-Cho group should have been the same age as Minato. But they weren't.
"They should be done talking by now."
My mind was more focused on the fact that things weren't the exact same in this dimension of the past. But either way I gave a nod and followed after Kakashi trying to push past the large differences even as Shikamaru's voice whispered through my mind.
"There are consequences for all actions taken so remember that when you dig further into fuinjutsu. It'd be troublesome if I have to bail you out of trouble."
This must have been some type of consequence for me being thrown back into the past even if I hadn't purposely done so. Maybe this was the dimension closest to my own or something.
Either way I couldn't continue to focus upon it considering that I was close to having a panic attack. Which would be troublesome considering I wasn't alone.
"It'll be fun to begin learning to become a shinobi," I said when the silence dragged on for too long, "and I look forward to training with you Kakashi-san."
