"To my city, my home again. May the blood never cease to flow..." Klaus says, raising his glass.

".and the party never end!" Marcel says also lifting his glass.

"To New Orleans." Diego says, lifting his glass as everyone else chants the same thing.

" I understand that some of you may have questions regarding the recent change in leadership, and I invited you here tonight to assure you that you are not defeated. No, my intentions moving forward are to celebrate what we have. What Marcel, in fact, took and built for this true community of vampires." Klaus continues as I walk down the stairs, knee high boots on with a bag on my shoulder.

"Where are you going, Evie?" He asks, pausing his speech.

"Sight seeing." I shrug, he shakes his head, gesturing for me to wait a moment.

"What about the wolf?" Diego asks, turning to look at me,

"Had you'd let me finish, Diego, you would know that there is, of course, one further matter I would like to address. As many of you know, the girl,my wife, is carrying my child. Consequently, I trust you will all pay her the appropriate respect. However, I understand that some of you are concerned by this vicious rumour that I intend to use the blood of our child to create hybrids. I assure you I do not." Klaus says, smiling at me.

Bored of Klaus's speech, I hurry out of the abattoir before I can receive a matching speech on safety.

On my stroll, I see many things, but inevitably, I am drawn towards a church. Pushing open the big oak doors, my eyes scan around, quickly taking in my surroundings, taking note of the blood stains on the floor.

Noticing that the place is dead, ironic really since I church is supposed to be a representation of life, I take free liberty to wonder around. Running my hand along the walls, I walk upstairs, curious as to what is normally kept in a Church attic.

"You're gonna love it at the compound. I already got the best room in the place picked out." Marcel's voice says, as I enter the attic. I stand awkwardly in the doorway, not realising people were up here.

" I can't leave! Remember what happened last time?" A young girl snaps, Marcel turns his head towards me.

"Sorry, am I intruding, I can go if-" I pause when a hand raps around my waist.

"Evie, you always do turn up where I want you," I shake my head, a smile resting on my face,"Plus, there's excellent light in the afternoon." Scanning the room, his eyes meet with a painting," I see you're an artist. Wonderful! I look forward to witnessing your many talents! "

"Was this his idea?" The girl asks, pained, to Marcel.

"Davina, please. I understand you're devoted to Marcel, but Marcel is devoted to me. I assume you'll want what's best for all of us. "He walks over to Marcel, stepping around me," We have a meeting to attend downstairs."

" I'll get someone to pick up your things. We'll get you settled in right. Trust me." Marcel says, following Klaus out of the room and leaving me with the girl.

"Davina, right?"I ask, stepping further into the room. She looks at me, a calculating stare on her face. "I'm not going to hurt you." I state, seeing her visibly calm down,"I'm Evie," I smile. She sticks her hand out for me to shake, instead I pull her in for a hug. "Hugs are better, more friendly." I smile, seeing her relax.

"Do you live their too?"She asks, shyly.

I smile at her, warmly, "you don't want to be here, do you?" I ask her, with a sigh. She smiles thinly at me.

"Alright, get anything you don't want to leave behind, be quick." I say, watching her confused expression, I add on,"I'm going to help you get away, Klaus will be mad, like furious mad, but it's not right to keep you against your will." She grins at me, pulling me into a quick hug before getting a few trinkets and what not.

" I know you're in here, Josh. I can sense your fear." Davina says, walking into the compound garage.I frown in confusion, I offer my help to run away, so she runs to the place she's running from? Teenagers these days...

"I heard you're moving in." A voice says, appearing from behind a car.

" What are you doing in here?" Davina asks, smiling brightly as she releases my hand to pull him into a hug.

"You know, incognito. Gotta run for the hills, but I'm stuck here until it gets dark." Josh sighs, a smile still on his face anyway. My eyebrows raise in realisation.

"You're penny boy!" I slap my hand over my mouth, my cheeks tinting slightly red.

"Yeah." He says, with a smile. "Didn't exactly get a good look at you, Klaus's body was in the way." I shrug.

"It's okay. You can trust Marcel. And if Klaus tries to hurt you-- I'll hurt him." Davina tells him, I wince, my mind drifting to how angry Klaus will be with me later. I have really dug myself into a deep hole this time.

With a huff, I sit on Davina's new bed, whispering so that the vampires won't hear.

"I don't understand, I was helping you escape, but we didn't?" I ask, confused.

"It would be too obvious if I tried to escape now." She shrugs as I inwardly sigh... Klaus will have no idea about my offer to her... Life is good.

"Right, I'm gonna go downstairs now," I say, with some effort, I heave myself up off of her bed, wheezing as I did so, walking into a conversation between Elijah and Klaus.

" Haven't you had your fill of telling me all the ways I've disappointed you, Elijah?" Klaus asks as I rap my arms around his waist. For two reasons really, 1, because I felt like it, and 2.to make sure he doesn't eat his brothers throat again.

" Well, there is something important we neglected to discuss. I accused you of having ulterior motives regarding the child. I was wrong. I'm sorry." He says, looking down in disappointment.

"I imagine that must have been hard for you to say." Klaus says with a sigh, rubbing my arms that are in front of him as I rest my head in his back.

"You don't make it easy to love you, brother." Elijah says, smiling at the loving sight before him.

"And yet, you're obstinate in your desire to do so. When you're ready, should you be so inclined, both you and Rebekah are welcome to join me here. It is, after all, our family home." Klaus smiles, taking my hand and leaving Elijah in the courtyard.

Looking as bad ass as a pregnant woman can in jeans and a loose top, I push the doors to the bar open, knowing that it is not open to customers. I can assure you now, that where I am... You was not expecting.

"I've been calling you for like an hour." Sabine, the prophesying witch says to Sophie, I smirk as I lean against the bar, unattractively next to them.

" I thought you'd have taken the hint" Sophie says, not caring about my presence.

"You've been acting like this since Agnes was killed." I scowl at the mention of Mama Ode.

"Yeah, can you blame me? It's not like I have a lot to keep me going these days." She replies, gulping down her beer.

" Well, while you've been drowning your sorrows by nailing everything that walks, I've been doing my tours, keeping my head down and my ears open. Marcel's daywalkers are scouring the whole town looking for a girl– brown hair, blue eyes. Sound familiar?" Sabine says, smirking.

"If Davina is not with Marcel, he won't know if we're practising magic... And, if we can actually get her back, we can fix everything." Sophie says, grinning back.

"Ah,ah, ah." I say, pointing my finger as if I were scolding a child. "Before any of you scream out an unforgivable curse, you're going to tell me why you," I point directly at Sophie, want this harvest completed so bad," I pause again, my tone deepening," And I will know if you're lying to me." Sophie sighs, knowing that there is no use in lying to me.

"Monique," She takes a deep breath," My niece, was harvested, the only way to bring her back is for Davina to die."

I sigh, deciding already that Monique's life can wait...

I drag my feet along the floor, entering the compound, not looking up as I try to understand the harvest. Heading straight for the stairs, I am stopped by an arm. I sigh, stopping in my tracks.

"You got me here. Now let him down."Davina says, looking at a boy playing an instrument, causing myself to look over as well.

"Well, first, we have to have a little chat about you returning to the fold." Klaus says, I gasp, sort of offended.

"You escaped... And didn't tell me, even though I offered you my help." Klaus growls, near to me.

"You did what?" He asks, sounding mental with rage. My eyes increase in size, realising my error.

"I- visited Narnia, met a pigeon and... I'm moving to Canada?" I stutter out.

"You betrayed me!" He growls, trying to push towards me, Marcel's hand shoots out to stop him as I back away.

"Not the time, Klaus." Marcel says, pushing him away.

" What happened? Why'd you run? Talk to me. Hey, I can make it right."Marcel asks Davina as Klaus continues to glare at me.

"How, by threatening my friend?" She asks, almost in tears.

Klaus turns away from me, turning to Davina,"Actually, that was my idea. Apologies. I've been known to go too far to make a point,"he pauses, turning to look at me, his glare returning, "But I do always get results."

"You pretend to be so confident, but I know the truth. You're afraid everyone can see what you really are-- an animal. "She casts a pain infliction spell that brings him to his knees, and he groans in pain" A beast. Why don't you show us your real face? "She magically forces Klaus to partially transform into a werewolf before magically snapping his neck" That's enough of you."

I look at her, silently asking if I can flee, she nods her head. "Thanks, D" I whisper, she nods at me as I hurry away from the compound.

My eyes open, my head and neck aching from the sensation of having it snapped.

"Well, isn't this monumentally awkward." Elijah says, adding a sigh on the end.

I pull out my phone, angrily swiping at the screen until Rebekah's contact appears. Impatiently, I wait for her to answer. "Rebekah, where are you?" I snap, once she has finally answered.

"I'm with Davina, and she's dying because of your treachery." She says, a sound resembling that of a sob escapes her mouth, travelling through the phone to be delivered to my ear. I ignore it.

"Well, I tried to talk to her, out of respect for Marcel, but she made it quite clear she is not our friend. My apologies if you thought she was yours."

"Just tell me how to cure her. Vampire blood isn't working." Rebekah says, desperately.

" No. It wouldn't. You see, the poison I compelled Timothy to feed her is quite potent. It's just a matter of time for her."I say, acting the role of the cat as it furtively plays with the mouse.

" For both of them, you diabolical bastard. They're children. We could've dealt with her fairly."She snaps as I chuckle humorlessly.

"There is no dealing with those who threaten us. Davina sealed her fate when she stood against me. This was her choice, not mine" I say, darkly before hanging up the phone.

"What are you gonna do about your wolf." Marcel asks, my face turns cold...It hurts knowing that the person I trust the most would go against me behind my back. I plan to punish her, I just don't know how yet.

"So you compelled that boy to poison Davina without consulting Marcel or myself." Elijah asks, a frown etched onto his face as I shrug him off.I have to be smart about Evie's punishment. It has to teach her a lesson, but it can't be bad enough for her to hate me...

"You know what the worst part is? It's that you're so predictable, I had to make an alliance with your brother, who I don't even like" Marcel says, a disappointed tone to his voice.

"It's weird, ya know?" He continues, "You're the evil big bad wolf, and you're married to the benevolent flower... Like beauty and the beast." He pauses, "She's got some nerve to help Davina, knowing that it's going against you," He smirks.
