"Hello, Cami." Klaus says, smiling at her as we go up to the bar.

Cami smiles back before her smile turns to a frown of confusion as she stares at Klaus.

"This is my wife, Evie." He introduces, dragging me to the seat next to him.

"How is it that when you come up to me now, and no one else is around, I suddenly remember that you just told me you're a vampire, and you're mind-controlling me? And then you leave, and then I go back to thinking you're just some hot guy with a cute accent and money to burn on your sprawling memoir?" She asks, exasperatedly. I force an awkward cough, I mean you would do if someone minor flirts with your husband while you're standing next to them.

"Well, that's how compulsion works, love." Klaus says, smirking as he orders me a coke.

"Yeah, but what's happening? Is it hypnosis? Are my neurons being shut down somehow?" She asks, trying to understand. I glare at my drink.

"You're always the curious scholar. Let's talk about Marcel. You said you have a little information for me." he says, smirking at my disgusted look.

" He's bringing someone to the music festival tonight. A girl he's mentoring. Apparently she's going through a hard time. Rebelling against authority, anger issues, that sort of thing. I guess with my psych degree, he figured I could set her straight, but I said no." She says, staring at me with curiosity and interest sparkling in her eyes.

" I'm going to go ahead and insist that you change your answer to "Yes."" He commands.

" You're going to force me to do this, aren't you? Why even bother with politeness?" Eventually, I get bored of glaring at my drink and decide to jump in.

"He has this weird love for making people believe they have a choice, then he suddenly strips them of it, just like he stripped me of my golf buggy."I trail off.

"We have talked about why I took it back Evie..." He whines, to which, I merely shrug.

"Oh for goodness sake witch woman, I said I'm fine." I snap, sick of her prodding and soothing words as she monitors my pregnancy.

"You are overdue for a checkup." She replies, keeping her voice steady and calm.

" What's she gonna do? Pop into the Quarter for a quick ultrasound? A pregnant werewolf escorted by a witch? Nothing to see here!" Hayley adds on sarcastically, taking my hand.

"A lot of women would kill to have a child. It strikes me as odd that you're not taking better care of yours." Rebekah ads, slight jealousy lacing her tone.

"I know a doctor out in the Bayou, off the beaten path. Now, I took the liberty of making an appointment for you. Tonight, after-hours, just us. Vampires will never get word of it." She says, calmly.

"Fine..." I sigh, quickly adding on, "But Hayley comes too."Mama Ode sighs, finally agreeing, leading the both of us out of the room, just as Klaus arrives. Pecking his lips, I bid him goodbye, following Agnes and Hayley.

I climb out of Agnes'scar, frowning as I stare at the building in front of me. It looks clean and quiet, but it is difficult to tell due to the darkness surrounding it. I sigh, trudging towards it.

" This is the doctor's office?" Hayley and I ask, the both of us saying it in sync.

Agnes smiles, making me less comfortable than I was before.

" Dr. Paige is only this far out because Marcel's men kept terrorising her patients. Go! She won't bite!"

"No, but I might." I mutter, heading in the direction that she pointed out.

On high alert, I push the rough, wooden door open, walking down a hall and taking a left before knocking lightly on a clean, white door, waiting impatiently for a reply from the other side.

"Your baby's heart rate is perfect." The woman says, smiling. She then peers down at my hand, her eyes zoning in on the ring sitting on my finger.

"You're married?" She asks, trying to make small talk. I shrug, deciding to be sarcastic.

"Nah, I found the ring in a magazine, believe it or not, it's made of plastic." She chuckles, lightly.

"We're pretty much done here, right?"I ask, pulling my sweater back on, ready to leave. I hate hospitals, or anything that resembles a hospital. If you have ever been friends with a doppleganger, you would probably understand why.

"Your blood pressure is a bit high, I've got something for it." the doctor says, smiling as she leaves the room. Bored, I stare out the window, looking for Agnes's car before hearing a wolf howl, causing my eyebrows to furrow in confusion. I look around for Hayley, growing suspicious when I do not see her.

"Ahh, you know, I'm-I'm actually not that good with pills." I say, my eyes widening as the doctor re-enters the room.

"Heh, neither am I, truth be told," She replies, nervously.

Sighing I walk towards the window, staring out at the forest for a few moments before I turn back around, an angry growl escapes my mouth as my eyes land on the doctor, preparing a syringe. Quickly, she turns around, syringe in hand as she lunges for my neck. I growl louder as I stop her hand, flinging my own back into a fist and pushing it against her face, satisfied when I hear the crick of her nose breaking.

Snatching the syringe from her hand, I stab it into her neck, pushing her back against the deck, launching her body with ferocity and high velocity across the room.

Hastily, I pull the door closed, locking it before I turn to the window, with some effort, I force it open and launch myself out of it, landing perfectly on my feet.

I run, heading straight for the trees in search of somewhere to hide, knowing that Agnes and co are not far behind.Sighing, I pick the most obvious place, hiding behind a tree as I wait for the idiots to arrive.

As the first man passes, I exit my hiding place, pushing my hand forcefully into the gut, winding him as I push his body to the ground.I jump, hoping for the best as the second man comes towards me. With haste, I grab him by the neck, swinging him around a bit before I snap it, sighing in relief as he falls to the ground, dead. 2 more men come at me, both carrying weapons, causing me to worry more than I did about the first two. Hoping that I won't regret it, I fall to the floor, allowing them to shoot each other as their blood splurts out, painting my face red.

Another man comes at me, but before I have time to react, his neck already gets snapped.

"Have to say, I'm impressed" Rebekah says, smiling as I lean over in the hope that I will catch my breath that slight bit quicker.

"There're more of them. Run" She says, her eyes widening.

"Seriously?" I sigh, wasting no time on hesitation. I groan, falling to the ground as something settles itself into my shoulder. "You have got to be kidding me..."

I open my eyes, groggily, realising that I am no longer on the ground. I look up, feeling relief spread over me at the sight of Hayley's face, she stumbles, carrying my aching body some where, however, I do not know where, finding that I do not have the strength or the energy to turn my head and look.

"H-h-hayley."I stutter tiredly, she hushes me soothingly.

" Hayley! What happened?" Klaus's voice calls as he rushes over, removing me from Hayley's arms as he takes me into his own, cradling me close to his chest. They look at me expectantly as I rack my head for the memories that don't seem to be there.

"I-I don't rem-member." I stutter weakly.

"You've completely healed. There's not a scratch on you." He says, relieved.

" One of the perks of being a werewolf, remember?" Hayley supplies for me, her eyes looking hurt as she stares down at me.

"No. not that fast." Klaus stutters, kissing my forehead.

"Leave her alone!" Rebekah snaps, pausing for a moment to think.". The vampire blood-- Klaus' vampire blood-- in your system. It can heal any wound."

"Your own child healed you." Rebekah breathes, smiling.

Klaus smiles at the thought."Shhhh-"He calms me as I begin to cry, frustrated, "Go to sleep, Evie."
