"Good morning baby." An overly jolly voice says, pulling me out of my slumber long before I am ready. "Eugh" I groan, trying to will my body to sleep some more as he chuckles in the background.

"Come on love, up you get." To which I just ignore him. He sighs, taking action by pulling my quilt off of me. "Nooooo."I groan, pulling him on top of me to substitute for a quilt... What can I say, Klaus is just a warm person.

"Up you get Evie," He says, pulling himself up off of me. He turns to leave the room before adding, "Oh yes, you're not allowed to leave the house." My eyes snap open immediately.

"What?"I ask, hoping that I have misheard him as I follow after him.

He shrugs, "Now that I know you are pregnant with our child, you're on house arrest to keep you safe." I groan, my day ruined before it has even began.

I follow Hayley around the house, bored out of my brains as she looks for Klaus and Rebekah. Abruptly, she stops outside of a door, I stop behind her as she begins to eavesdrop.

" Yes, about that. It seems you left out a crucial detail when we made our deal--Marcel's secret weapon, the way he knows when a witch is using magic..." Klaus says, confirming that someone else other than Rebekah is also in the room.

"Girl about yea high, cute as a button, anger issues?" Rebekah says as Hayley snatches my crisp packet out of my hand.... Apparently I was making too much noise.

"Davina? Where have you seen her?" Sophie Devreux asks, jumping into the conversation. I moan, trying to reach for my crisps that Hayley wrongfully stole from me, causing Klaus to hear.

He sighs before saying, loud enough for me to hear, "Evie, you can come in love." Hayley gives me a threatening look, warning me not to grass her out, I shrug, opening the door and walking through.

I smile, walking into Klaus's open arms, pecking his lips.

"I don't know. The little brat erased my memory right after she threw me out a window with her bloody mind." Rebekah snaps, glaring at the witch. I turn to glare at her too, after all, last time I saw her, she Evienapped me.

" Let me cut to the chase. Davina has Elijah. You witches, I assume, want to get Davina away from Marcel. We don't know where she is. Ergo, we need magic."Klaus says in an alpha male tone.

"Davina would sense it." The witch sighs.

"Please take me with you," I beg as he turns to leave the room. He shakes his head, forcing himself not to give in. "Please," I beg, my voice growing more desperate, "You know I hate being cooped up in one place."

He sighs, giving me his full attention.

"Evie."He starts in a serious tone. "You know I can't take you with me. Not while..." He trails off.

"But you have to purposefully listen for a heart beat to sense a child." I state, whimpering as he turns away.

"What if I promise to move on from the fact that you killed my Mother." He freezes mid step, sighing before turning to look at me.

"You do not leave my side."he says, taking my hand, giving in to Evie power.

We walk into the abattoir to the soft playing of a trumpet, my hand held tight by Klaus as he leads the both of us over to Marcel.

" You're right. He's good" Klaus says, smiling, as he pulls me closer to his side. If he pulled me any closer, we would morph into one person.

"Right? Music man, I call him. Ladies love him, but he's spoken for. He knocks around with this pretty little witch. Says he loves her, but I don't know."Marcel says, staring over at his friend, a sour look on his face at the mention of a witch.

"Your brightest soldier is fraternising with your enemy, and you don't care?" Klaus says sceptically.

"Well, of course I care, but Thierry is a grown man. He makes his own choices, and I get some good intel. Besides, he's not gonna do anything to jeopardise what we're doing here. I mean, check this out-— a vampire hosting a ritzy charity event? We have a community here. No one's gonna mess that up." He says, unknowing to Klaus's recently demised plan.

" Still... You don't want the witches to get too bold, given that a witch's tip about a werewolf in town led to the disappearance of your night-walkers. I'm sure you've considered the possibility that it could've been a trap." Discreetly, Klaus smiles proudly at me, knowing that I had an involvement in the demise of three night-walkers.

"Well, maybe I'll send a little message"He stands and shouts over to the other vampires" Thierry! Take a team of night-walkers to the Cauldron tonight, do a little rousting... Oh, and Thierry? Make it nasty."

"Little sister!" Klaus exclaims, shrugging his coat off and throwing it in my direction, messing all of my hair up.

" Well, brother, I believe I've made certain Marcel will be properly distracted tonight. " Rebekah says, smirking as I lob Klaus's bomber jacket to the side, scowling at it as it hits the floor.

" Dare I ask?"Klaus says, falling into the couch carelessly.

"Let's just say his attention will not be on us. I did my bit. What are you doing to ensure Elijah's safe return?"

"He's mostly sat around in cafe's, drinking and talking to Marcel about lady troubles."I shrug.

"Currently,"He emphasises "I'm preparing insurance against the tenderhearted."

" We need proper motivation for Katie to cast a powerful spell tonight. I'm creating that motivation. Marcel has ordered a rousting of the witches." Klaus says, watching my movement as I sit down next to him.Kindly, he pulls my jacket off and throws it to the side, just like before.

"You really are a hideously evil little thing, aren't you?" Klaus says, watching Marcel spin Cami around from a far, still in a sulk after my refusal to do any such thing as dancing.

"Nonsense. They're perfect for each other! You wanted Marcel distracted? Voilà."Rebekah says, her eyes scanning the crowd in search of her prey.

"My cue to leave." Rebekah says, watching as an African American man whispers nervously into Marcel's ear. From our distanced spot, we watch as Marcel excuses himself from Cami, hurrying off after his friend. Klaus smirks, kissing my cheek.

"Are you all right, love?" Klaus says, pulling me along with him towards Cami.

"He's got a temper, doesn't he? I guess this is the moment I remember I know better." Cami sighs.

"Sounds like someone I know."I say, smiling at her as Klaus scoffs from beside me.

Cami looks sad and disappointed as she walks away, leaving Klaus and I to ourselves.

"Will you please dance with me." He asks, his tone picking up a hint of desperation.

"It'snot going to happen." I say, walking past him towards the balcony to watch the Klaus created drama play out, " And it begins." He mutters, smirking.

...

" Like clockwork."Klaus says as the witch begins to chant, her boyfriend yelling for her to stop.

The witch waves her arm and a lamp's light explodes; all the vampires grab at their heads, falling down in pain.. Marcel alone rises back up to face the witch, but she smashes another light with magic and Marcel goes down again. Marcel arises again, clearly aided by his secret witch.

"You're here to save your man. Well, come on, little girl!" Marcel yells, smirking at her.

"Die, you son of a bitch" She snarls back angrily... Some people just don't know when to stop.

"No! Katie! Don't!" A horrified vampire cries out.

Before Katie can kill Marcel, Klaus swoops in and snaps Katie's neck. She dies as Klaus drops her body carelessly to the ground , smirking up at Marcel.

"No. Katie. No, no, no, no" The vampire sobs, crawling over to the dead witch's body.

"Come on love,"Klaus says, turning to face me, "We are done here."

The three of us, Klaus.Marcel and I, stand on the balcony, staring down at the courtyard where the party was previously held. Klaus and Marcel clink their glasses together, Klaus smirks at me discreetly, knowing that I can not have one because of my...condition.

"How much did Cami see?"Marcel asks with a sigh.

" She just saw an argument, mate. It's nothing you can't fix. You really like her, don't you?" He asks, his gaze focused on the courtyard below us as he takes a swallow from his drink.

"I like that she's not a part of any of this. Sometimes it's good to see the world the way the humans do." Marcel says, turning his gaze towards Klaus and I.

"I am sorry about Thierry, you know? I can tell he was a good friend." Klaus says, pulling me by the waist towards him.

"I made him what he was. Obviously, my trust was misplaced." Marcel says down-heartened, I feel slightly sorry for him, he has no idea what really happened.

"Doesn't make it easier." I supply for Klaus.

"You saved me tonight. I guess I owe you one. You asked for your brother back. Seems like the least I can do." Marcel says...

I sit, Rebekah's arm around my shoulder, the both of us adorned by our pyjamas, holding warm cups of hot chocolate towards our mouths.

" Well, tonight was an epic failure." Rebekah sighs as Klaus enters the room, smiling madly. We both stare at him weirdly, as if he were mad, which, he probably is.

" On the contrary, sister. Tonight was a masterpiece." Klaus smiles, taking the TV remote from my hand and sitting down next to me, also rapping his arm around me to match Rebekah's

"Are you mad? Katie died before Sophie could complete the spell." Rebekah asks, snuggling closer to me to stay warm.

"Oh, I'm well aware. I killed Katie." Klaus says, smiling at the memory.

"There's no way our little suicide witch wasn't gonna try and take out Marcel with her. I saved his life, and in doing so, I now have him exactly where I want him." Klaus smiles, rubbing my stomach as he leans down to take a sip of my hot drink. I sigh, letting have some just for this time. Trust me, it won't happen again.

"Sophie trusted you. I trusted you! Against all my better instincts." Rebekah says, sounding slightly offended.

" Wake up, Rebekah-- the witches are on no one's side but their own. This girl, Davina? That's all they want, and when they have her, what do you think happens then, a truce? Of course not. They will use Davina's power against all of us." Klaus says, pulling away from my drink with a chocolate moustache.

"Even if you're right, the plan was to find Elijah, and you've failed us." She sighs, leaning her head against my shoulder as I caress her long blonde hair.

"ou always did lack faith. By protecting Marcel, I've cemented his trust, so much so that he's agreed to return Elijah to us. And when the time is right, when he has told me everything I need to know about Davina, I will have her for myself." Klaus says, wiping his mouth on his sleeve like a 6 year old boy would.

"I have all the faith in the world that you'll get what you want, Nik. You always do, no matter what is costs the rest of us. You disgust me." Hastily, she downs her drink, leaving it on the coffee table and walks away.
