《Join The Crew [ One Piece Various x JJK Reader]》Chapter 25

(Y/n) touched her throbbing cheek, the remanence of the slap still coursed through the spot. "I had so much faith in you, but all I got is nothing! You're such a useless child!" Her mother complained while whipping off her hand on her clothes. She then scowled at her four-year-old daughter, quite disappointed in raising said child.
"Be glad you're female, if you were to be male, you'd really disappoint me" her mother scolded. She then looked to her brother, Satoru Gojo, who looked beyond angered. He hated their mother, yet he knew he wasn't old enough to continue on their family name without her guidance. Yet... He desperately wants to end her life, right here, right now, for hurting his precious sister.
"Look at your brother, he is a prodigy, something you should've been. You both are blessed with our clan's techniques! Yet what do I get in return? A useless child who can't even use her powers to protect herself! This is why you will forever stay a Grade 4 sorcerer" her mother continued on. It was the same old speech, always nagging about how terrible it is to have a daughter like her.
(Y/n) looked down in shame, believing those words her mother told her. She knew that at around this age she should've known how to properly use infinity. Yet, all she is good for is seeing curse energy with her six eyes and cleaning around the house like a servant. "Satoru, teach her properly this time" her mother ordered her brother as she left the room.
Satoru is the only one who is able to teach her, being the only other one with full powers. Sometimes she wonders how he trained himself when he was her age. "Brother... I don't want to be a sorcerer..." She mumbled as tears start to run down her face. "I know... Neither do I, but the world relies on us both" Satoru said as he embraced her.
That's right, she's not allowed to have a will of her own anymore, now that she's labeled a protege. Neither of them is allowed to choose the life they've always wanted. Instead, once they're skilled enough they will be forced to fight in a life-or-death situation with beings others can't see. This is the day they both started to hate the society they live in, a society ruled by elders who tremble in their ever-fleeting lives.

"Come on, let's get to training before mother comes back to nag us again" Satoru encourages, trying his best to lighten the mood. "Alright... But, afterwords, can you teach me how to use cursed tools? They're so cool!" (Y/n) said with a bit of excitement. With a chuckle, Satoru patted her head. How could his baby sister be so adorably cute? Of course, he cannot say no to her demands.
(Y/n) rubbed at the current red mark on her face, the pain not as painful as it used to be. Maybe it was due to building up a tolerance for when her mother hit her. But, she needed that wake-up call, back to the harsh reality of her current situation, as she had gotten off track. Traveling with a group of pirates was fun while it lasted, but she knows, deep down, she'll have to end this journey soon.
Though, deep down, she knew she was actually getting the freedom she had always craved for. She was selfish, she had the opportunity to free her brother back when Mihawk arrived. Yet, she is continuing on her journey to "free him" from his cage, unable to experience the same joy. "Just one more day... Then I can initiate my plan" (Y/n) mumbled to herself, needing to be out of the binding vow quickly.
Finally, she arrived back at Arlong's mansion, so far it hadn't crumbled to the ground yet. Though, the crowd of Fishmen standing in place isn't a good sign. Weaving her way through the crowd she found what they were all staring at. Sukuna stood there huffing out in anger, blood covering his poor clothing.
Around him what once was a group of live Fishmen, meant to guard the place and roam about their day. Now, all that is left is unrecognizable piles of mush. Even the water, that (Y/n) so desperately wanted to swim in, was now a dirty color of red. With a sigh, she walks up to the enraged being, a feat only she could do fearlessly.
But, she had only one goal in mind, getting her poor crushed sweets back from his grip. "Hey, Suki" (Y/n) called out as she poked him, causing him to whip around. Taking notice that it was just (Y/n), he lowered his hand which was prepared to attack her. "You can unhand my sweets now," she said as she pointed to the crushed bag.

He glanced at the bag, having forgotten that he was even holding it, then at Arlong. "Go make another batch" Sukuna ordered him, not caring about the look of despair on Arlong's face. "R-right away..." Arlong mumbled as he wordlessly made his way inside, his remaining comrades following him.
"My King, I've found him, here you go" a Fishman announced as he dragged Usopp by his nose. That's when he finally noticed the disaster that befell his brethren. "Well? Don't just stare, bring him here" Sukuna ordered with a sadistic smirk, already brimming with ideas of how to deal with Usopp. This will most likely not end well for the poor crewmember.
Laying out in front of Sukuna, he felt like he was being looked down upon as if he were dirt. "Look! I'm really sorry about earlier! I was just... Uh... Greeting you! As a hello-- ACK!" Usopp gagged as a foot stepped on his head, forcing him to the ground. "Quiet" Sukuna demanded, quite annoyed with Usopp's rambling.
(Y/n) watched silently, knowing Usopp will be alright... For now, as long as she works around Sukuna's ego and rage. (Y/n) then saw Usopp reach for his slingshot, hoping no one would notice. Swiftly, she kicked it out of his hand, needing the item gone before he actually kills himself. "I wouldn't do that, if I were you" (Y/n) advised with a cunning smirk, earning a glare from Usopp.
"Why... Why (Y/n)?! Why would you team up with this monster?" Usopp growled, trying his best despite being pressed to the floor. (Y/n) pushed against Sukuna's chest, which he allowed her to push him off of Usopp. He doesn't know the two's past relationship, but he does know she's not one to be trifled with. Plus, she did promise him that this trip would be amusing, so might as well see the results.
Usopp took this chance to get off the ground and away from the cursed spirit, unintentionally getting close to the water. "Don't you see? I was never doing this for our crew" (Y/n) said honestly. "You see... I have my own motives" she said as she walked towards him, looking very confident. "How cold-hearted... After everything Luffy did for you, are you really going to do this to him?! To us?! Your crewmembers!" Usopp exclaimed, clearly feeling betrayed by her.
"Sorry... But, I've got a goal in mind, and that goal doesn't involve you or the crew" (Y/n) apologized as she raised her finger. "Special attack!!" Usopp screamed, only to be interrupted by a bright light. "Curse Technique: Reversal Red" (Y/n) said as a bright red light lit up on her finger. But, suddenly, it started to turn white, something that shouldn't happen to anyone who can handle the technique.
With a smirk she allowed the white ball of light to explode, covering the whole area in smoke. "Usopp! (Y/n)!" Nami called out, having watched the whole thing from the sidelines. The Fishmen coughed from the smoke that invaded their lungs, while Sukuna merely waved the smoke away with his hand. When the smoke cleared all that was left was a massive crater in the ground and a blindfold that had been on (Y/n)'s face.
Everything was silent, as Sukuna picked up the blindfold, staring at it with an unreadable look. Johnny watched from outside the gates, trembling in sadness. "It can't be... Big sister (Y/n) just killed herself and Big bro Usopp!" Johnny cried out. "(Y/n)..." Nami mumbled as she crumbled to the floor, staring at the crater in disbelief.

The American Dream: An Alternate, Time-Travel Timeline
Due to a mysterious transcendent being, United States Marine Corps First Lieutenant Samuel Kim from the year 2016 is thrown back in time to the year 1775. To make matters worse, he wakes up near Bunker Hill, mere hours before the famed Battle of Bunker Hill is set to begin. Realizing the unique situation he finds himself in, the lieutenant takes the opportunity to change the fate of the battle and ensure an overwhelming American victory. Guided by his "patronizing" "God" and the American revolutionaries, Lieutenant Kim embarks on a journey to help America gain its independence and to ensure the nation uphold its "most promising" ideals from the very beginning. Author's Warning: The story is very rough in the first few chapters (and as some readers pointed out, some parts are laughable, such as "American idealism"). However, the pace and quality of the story improves from chapter four and onwards. You will enjoy the story if you have some interest in history, worldbuilding, and the butterfly effect (along with a few badass characters). So even if you are a bit turned off in the beginning, I promise that the story improves quickly.
