《Reminder | Bucky Barnes x Reader》t w e n t y - o n e

I stood in my wardrobe, looking at the two dresses in front of me. I had no idea which one to wear. I debated over it for five minutes before I thought about how silly I was being. Bucky wouldn't care what I wore. I picked a black dress that flared out at my waist and ended just above my knees. I wore a pair of black heels and put on some gold jewellery. I decided to leave my hair down and just put on a little bit of makeup to add some flare.
There was a knock at my door. I practically bounded towards the door and opened it. Bucky stood there and smiled at me.
"Hey, y/n," he said.
"Hey, Bucky," I said, leaning in to kiss him.
He kissed me back and pulled away after a few seconds. Bucky handed me a bunch of roses.
"These are for you," he said.
I beamed at him.
"These are gorgeous," I said. "Let me find a vase for them, and then we can go."
I found a vase and placed them on my bedside table. I then took Bucky's hand and we walked down to the garage. Bucky drove us to the nice restaurant that we had decided on. When he parked the car, he walked around and opened the door for me. I smiled at his gentlemanly behaviour. We linked arms and walked into the restaurant. We got our table and sat down.
We spoke about anything and everything. We spoke about our missions, about our friends, about food... just everything.
And it was perfect. Soon enough, our food arrived. We continued talking, as if we could never run out of things to say.
Once we had finished our dinner and dessert, we got back into the car. Bucky drove and we continued talking.
When we got back home, we walked back to the common room hand in hand. Steve and Sam were hanging out playing Mario Kart.
"On your left."
"I KNOW YOU'RE ON MY LEFT I CAN SEE YOU!"
I chuckled at the pair. I tugged at Bucky's hand and we sat down together on the couch across from Steve and Sam. I cuddled into Bucky, still holding his hand. His metal arm wrapped around my waist and held me close.

I was enjoying just chilling with my boyfriend when Clint burst into the room, blood dripping from his nose and a cut on his face.
"They have Wanda!" he cried. "Hydra has Wanda!"
*
Everyone was in their battle suits minutes after Clint arrived. We were all ready to go and get Wanda back.
Vision was angry. I'd never seen him angry before, and it was slightly terrifying. We all piled into the quinjet and took off.
"I was on a mission with her," Clint said. "We were ambushed. More than I could handle. She was handling them pretty well, until they hit her with a tranquiliser. She told me to run... and I did."
Clint looked ashamed of that.
"If you hadn't run and told us, you both might be captured, or dead," I said. "Now we have somewhere to start."
Clint nodded slowly. Natasha wrapped an arm around her best friend comfortingly.
"We'll get her back," Bucky assured him.
We travelled to the place where Clint had last seen Wanda. It was an old army base, and everything looked normal.
"Let's just look around," Steve said.
"And if you see someone, let me know," I said. "I can break into their mind and see if they know where Hydra took Wanda."
"Do they need to be conscious?" Natasha asked.
I shook my head.
"Just alive."
We split up and began looking around. After a few minutes, I heard scuffling and a cry that was cut off.
"Y/n, we got one," Natasha growled through the comms.
I darted to where she was to see a middle aged man on the floor unconscious. I knelt down beside him and placed my fingertips to his temples. Immediately, visions and sounds flooded my mind.
"Shit," I muttered as I pulled away. "They've taken her back to Sokovia."
"There is no way that they have a base there," Sam said. "After Ultron and all that, there was barely anything left."
"They're underground," I replied. "Very heavily guarded. They're trying to convert her to Hydra."
"Then let's go and save her," Steve said.
I nodded and we all piled into the quinjet. As we got closer to Sokovia, I opened up my mind to Wanda, and tried to reach out to her. Because we communicated telepathically on a daily basis, our minds were connected.

Wanda?
Wanda, can you hear me?
Wanda, we're coming to save you.
I sat in my seat, wringing my hands. My leg bounced with anxiety for what they might do to her.
Y/n?
I nearly fainted in relief.
Wanda?
"Guys, I got a hold of her," I said. "She's alive."
Everyone seemed to almost sag in relief, but the mission wasn't over. Yes, she was alive, but she might not remain that way.
They have me in a straitjacket and a shock collar, Wanda told me.
I'll make the bastards pay, I promised her.
We flew over the border of Sokovia when we started having concerns.
"Where are they, exactly?" Clint asked from up the front.
I rushed up into the cockpit and looked out the front. I closed my eyes and focused on Wanda's mind. I imagined a red string guiding me towards her. When I opened my eyes, I saw the red string. No one else seemed to be able to see it.
"Let me drive," I said.
Clint stood up and I took his seat. I followed the red line until it was directly underneath me.
"She's right below us," I said, making the quinjet hover.
Natasha took over and landed the jet. We quickly got out, but we couldn't see any buildings.
"How do we get underground now?" Sam asked.
"I don't know," I muttered.
"I do," Vision growled.
He faced the ground and a beam of light shot out from the stone in his head. A crater appeared in the ground, and Vision continued digging.
"Is this really the best idea?" Bucky asked.
"Probably not," Tony said.
Tony then proceeded to help Vision by using lasers to dig through the ground. After a minute or so, a hole appeared through some sort of concrete. Vision floated down into the hole. Tony jumped down next, and the rest of us followed. We all ended up in a hallway.
Two agents walked around a corner. I broke into their minds and knocked them unconscious, before looking through their memories. I learned the layout of the base and committed it to memory.
"Alright, stairwell is this way," I said. "Wanda is being kept ten levels below this one, in hope that if she did escape, they'd have ten storeys to contain her."
I led the way. The stairwell was clear, and we rushed down it. We got down ten storeys without any problems before we reached the level where Wanda was being held.
I kicked the door opened and was immediately met with a storm of bullets. I used my telekinesis to catch the bullets and throw them back at the enemy. There were a few soldiers who dodged the bullets, and Vision took care of them.
Suddenly, an alarm went off.
"Come on!" I called to the team.
We ran through the halls and I felt myself nearing Wanda. We turned a corner to see a locked door. Tony blew it up and we walked through to see Wanda in a cell.
She was barely conscious, and blood ran down her face.
"Wanda, Darling," Vision said.
He flew to her and phased through the cell wall. He began removing the straitjacket and then he removed the shock collar.
Agents began to flood down the hall. The rest of the team took care of them while Vision broke the glass of Wanda's cell and carried her through.
"Is she okay?" I asked Vision, running to her, and placing my fingers to her wrist.
"She is alive, but heavily sedated," Vison replied.
The alarms silenced, and a voice projected over the speakers of the base.
"Avengers," a familiar voice drawled. "You are surrounded. If you give us Miss Maximoff and Miss l/n, we'll consider letting you get out alive."
Shivers ran down my spine at the sound of List's voice. Shivers of fear, and anger. Unrelenting, boiling anger.
I turned to the door to see the Avengers still fighting against the hoard of agents that came for them.
I was not going to let List hurt anyone else.

The Calculator - Supervillainess Time Loop
What makes a terrifying villain? Is it ruthlessness? Is it how powerful they are and how many buildings they can down in one blow? Is it how hard they are to kill, contain, or get rid of in any manner? Is it their knowledge of a hero’s true identity in a world where secrets must be kept? Or is it perhaps how they seem to be perfect in all their actions, defeating the hero at every step of the way throughout to the last one, only to humiliate them one last time before declaring themselves the winner in the grand scheme of things? Isabella Blair is perfect. She knows all your moves before you even make them. All your ambushes are faced with traps and she dodges all your blows like it’s child’s play. Catching her is impossible because she’s always ten steps ahead of you. She says she calculated everything, but she messes up in every fight. She loses far more than she wins, sometimes a hundred times for just one small victory. Yet, she is perfect. How is that possible, you may ask. That’s because she has the uncanny ability to return to the past whenever she makes a mistake. All that’s left in the end can only be what’s perfect if all the realities in which you’ve lost are gone, after all. And that makes for one hell of a terrifying profile. Crossposting on ScribbleHub, SpaceBattles, and Wattpad. Don't mind the "Pre-Rewrite" Volume. It is there for reference until the story catches up to the chapter count via the Rewrite (and to justify the current reviews as there would be no context to them otherwise). If you are a first-time reader, feel free to start from the other Volume.
