I straightened my dress and walked into the party on Bucky's arm. Music was playing and the place and a nice feel to it.
"Alright, y/n and I are in," Bucky said into the comms.
"Wanda and I are in, too," Clint replied. "Where are you, Nat?"
"I'm getting changed," she growled. "Don't rush me."
A little smile appeared on my face.
"Care to dance?" Bucky asked.
I smiled at him and nodded. He placed his hand on my waist and I grabbed his metal hand. It didn't look like metal to anyone because Wanda had placed some sort of spell on it.
"I've spotted Valdez," Bucky murmured.
We spun and I saw him too. He was mildly attractive. He had blonde hair and blue eyes. He had sharp cheekbones and was talking to a woman about my age. He looked away from the woman and his gaze settled on me. I looked at him for a moment before biting my lip and turning away.
"Nice one, y/n," Natasha commented. "He's interested now."
"When did you get here?" Sam asked.
"A few seconds ago," Nat replied.
"Go get him, y/n," Clint said.
"Good luck, Elizabeth," Bucky said, reminding me of my fake name.
"Shut up, Frank," I said.
Bucky chuckled and let go of my arm.
"I'm going to go get a drink," I said.
I walked towards the bar and 'accidentally' bumped into Ricky.
"Sorry!" I said.
Ricky paused and looked at me. His eyes travelled up and down my body, making me slightly uncomfortable.
"I don't believe we've met," Ricky said.
I held out my hand.
"Elizabeth Jones," I said.
"Ricky Valdez," he said, shaking my hand.
I smiled up at him.

"Can I get you a drink?" he asked.
"I'd love that," I said flirtatiously.
Honestly, I just wanted to gag. His gaze kept catching on my chest. I wanted to punch him.
"What about your... date?" Ricky asked.
"He won't mind," I said. "I just brought him along because I had to."
Ricky smirked and me and placed a hand on my lower back.
"Let's go, then," he said.
He led me to the bar and ordered me a drink. The bar tender looked nervous when I grabbed my drink. I took a look into the bar tender's mind.
If she knows it's drugged, I am so dead.
I pulled back out of his mind and pressed my lips to the glass. I pretended to taste some.
"This is nice," I said.
"It is, isn't it?" Ricky said.
I smiled up at him.
It's drugged, I told the team telepathically.
"I will remove the drug," Wanda said.
The liquid began to swirl a bit, so I swirled the glass around.
"Done," Wanda said. "It is safe to drink now."
I took a sip. Ricky and I continued talking for a bit. He mainly spoke about himself, which was good, because I wasn't the person he thought I was.
"Care to dance?" he asked.
"I'd love to," I said.
We walked to the dance floor and started to dance. I caught glances of my team members. I acted drugged, swaying while I danced.
"Let's take this somewhere else," Ricky murmured in my ear.
"Okay," I giggled.
"Okay, let's follow," Nat said.
Ricky led me to a set of double doors with two bodyguards. I broke into their minds and made my friends invisible to them.
They won't be able to see you, I told the team.

"Bucky, hold back!" Nat hissed into the comms.
I had just rounded a corner in the hall.
"She's in there with no backup," Bucky growled back.
I can hear everything you're saying, I told them telepathically. And Bucky, I'm not completely hopeless.
Ricky led me into an office. I stumbled into the room and he sat me down on a chair behind a desk. He twirled the chair around so that I was facing him.
"Your new owners will be here soon," he said. "But for now, you're all mine."
He began unbuckling his belt when I struck. I kicked him between the legs. He doubled over and I punched him in the face. He fell over and landed on the floor.
"What the fuck?" he exclaimed.
Blood ran down his face and onto his suit. The doors to the office crashed open and Bucky, Natasha, and Clint stood in the doorway.
"Wanda and Sam are outside," Clint said.
Ricky's mouth popped open.
"You're the Avengers," he said. "And you're not Elizabeth!"
He pointed at me as he spat it out. Bucky took a threatening step forwards and Ricky dropped his arm.
"Why are you working with Hydra?" I asked.
Ricky laughed at me.
"Why would I tell you that?" he asked.
I pursed my lips and glanced to Natasha.
"If you won't tell us willingly, then I'll make you," I said.
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.
"Why are you working for Hydra?"
My voice sounded strange. It sounded young and yet old. It sounded distorted, like I was listening through a crappy radio. Ricky's eyes glazed over.
"They pay well," he said. "Family business."
I cocked my head to the side. I didn't like this. I didn't particularly enjoy using my power to make people talk. Bucky placed his hand and the small of my back, urging me to keep going.
"How many people have you sold to Hydra?" I asked, my voice still sounding strange.
"I can't remember exactly," Ricky said, his eyes still unfocused. "Maybe twenty something? My files are in the desk."
"Clint, go get them," Nat said.
Just like that, the trance broke.
"What did you do to me, you witch?" Ricky asked angrily.
"Something Hydra tried to teach me to do," I said bitterly.
Clint came back to us with the files.
"Twenty-six people," Clint said.
I scowled at Ricky.
"Your time as a human trafficker is over," I said.
Ricky glared at me. The doors to the office opened and six Hydra agents entered. Before anyone could react, I used my telekinesis to throw them all against the roof. They all fell to the floor, unconscious.
"Get Shield in here," Nat said to the comms.
A few minutes later, ten Shield agents came through the doors.
"Thanks, Avengers," one of them said.
We just nodded. We waited until Ricky and the Hydra agents were restrained before leaving.
"Well, that was fun," Natasha said as we drove home.
"You and I have different definitions of fun," I said, rubbing my temples.
Concentrating on not seeing people's memories when I brushed past them had been draining, as well as sending Ricky into a trance.
"Tired?" Bucky asked.
"Very," I yawned.
"We're done now," he said. "You can rest."
I smiled at him sleepily and leaned on his shoulder, my consciousness fading almost instantly.
