Zoe finished reading the note, and the key appeared from inside the ritual circle. The guests looked to one another, laughing in relief. Thomas took the final key.
We did it. We survived.
We actually made it out of this alive.
We finally get to go home, but no one will ever believe what happened here.
The guests opened the library doors, to see that the zombies were still there. Panicking, Thomas and Zoe ran through the horde, but Joel wasn't to lucky. Lizzie grabbed his arm as he tried to escape and bit him. The other zombies forced him to the ground and ripped him to pieces, all while he screamed in agony.
"Go! Please! Escape! Save yourselves!" he shouted to Thomas and Zoe. While the zombies were preoccupied, Thomas and Zoe ran towards the door. Nothing followed them. They could still hear Joel screaming, although his screams seemed to be getting weaker.
"What just happened, I thought we were safe!" Zoe cried.
"They killed Joel!" Thomas said, in shock. They stood near the main door for a while, processing what just happened, and listening to Joel's anguished please for mercy and a quick death. Eventually, he went quiet, as did the zombies.
Thomas and Zoe walked back to see that the zombies were mostly gone. Only a few remained, but they were all dead again. And Joel lay in the middle of them, almost unrecognisable now. Blood covered his corpse and the other zombies around them.
"How come some of the zombies are still here?" Zoe asked.
"Because the society never picked up their bodies. The spirit just made copies of some of them. I don't think they're be able to hurt us, even if they wanted to," Thomas said.
"Just ghosts I suppose," Zoe said, "poor Joel. He was so close to freedom."

"And what an awful way to go," Thomas added. They stood silently for a moment, silently paying their respects to Joel, and to everyone else who died.
"We should go, the sun is about to come up," Zoe said. The two of them made their way to the main door. Thomas unlocked the final lock, which vanished along with the key. The note changed one more time,
Goodbye, my friends. All the best, Joey Graceffa.
"It was Joey who saved us," Thomas said.
"He's been freed. I wondered why his zombie wasn't here, he was still helping us. He's not possessing my anymore either," Zoe said.
"How do you know that?" Thomas asked.
"I was always aware of his presence. It's not there anymore," she explained. They heard the door unlock. They pushed the doors open and left the castle.

The Menocht Loop
Ian Dunai thought he was powerless. He’s not alone: only a small percent of the population have high enough affinities to perform magic. But in the eyes of his father’s gifted family, Ian’s impotence is a disgrace—and the stain of his mother’s common blood. But on one fateful day, Ian awakens not in his college dorm but in the middle of the ocean on an old dinghy. Reaching land is the least of his problems as he encounters risen skeletons, tortured captives, and a shoreside city in the throes of contagion. Ian doesn’t last very long without magic. But death isn’t the end: Ian wakes back up on the dinghy and relives the day again...and again...and again. As Ian investigates the purpose of the loop and a way to escape, he begins to realize that he might be more powerful than anyone—especially himself—ever imagined. 8 148Apostle of the Goddess
A disappointed man dreams of leaving the confines of Earth and living adventures in fantastic realms...Suddenly, his wish is granted... Albeit in a far different way from what he could have expected. An isekai genre story with a few elements from LitRPG. The overall tone will be jumping back and forth from light to dark. Expect a lot of references to anime, manga, games, etc.It is written in first-person view and will contain a side-story using a "real-life" character. Initially, the MC will be writing the story as a true journal, so the prologue and first chapters may appear a mess of things that already happened, journal entries, and afterthoughts. A few chapters in, it will change into a normal, first-person manner retelling of what happened (storywise the character "Records" what happened to him). This is a side project of mine, so I will be uploading a few chapters per month. Chapters may have a severe difference in length (albeit I will try to maintain them around 3k), but expect the overall monthly word count to be not less than 15k words.Author recommendation, if you intend to follow the story, read the new updates once a month (counting from the day the first chapter is uploaded). Content Warning: I do intend to include a few disturbing moments to emphasize the darkness of the human (and other beings) nature, so please consider that even though some chapters (especially the starting ones) are kinda like a comedy routine.

!! STORY WILL BE REFURBISHED SOON !!- •PK High School receives another transfer student! Woohoo! His name is Asher Morteli. 1/3 American, 1/3 Asian, and 1/3 Italian. Though, he usually either sticks with Asian or American, depending on the situation.Asher is.. well, he's a bad boy, I guess. It's not the best title, but it kinda sticks with him, seeing with how he acts.Asher's mother had recently had some family issues that grew out of hand, so they ended up moving back to Japan. He truly didn't care, it's wasn't like he was extremely close with his friends. And this was just a natural thing that happens in life, so there's no point in moping about it.He was glad to be leaving his past behind, anyway. America had too many bad memories...So, all we can do is hope he'll have an easier time in Japan, yes?!!so, yeah. i should plan fanfics thoroughly before writing them.enjoy ig?? and yeahhhhhSTARTED:: November 18th, 2021ENDED:: January 16th, 2022
