《Escape The Night - Season 3》Episode 11, Part 2 - Grubs Up

My group need to find a chest in the bushes, so we start looking around for one, and it's way more difficult than we thought it would be.
"I think I got it," Rosanna pulled out a small chest with a number padlock on it and a note on the top, "it says the combination is hidden in the trees."
"There's a bunch of trees over there, maybe that's where we need to look," Willow suggested. The group ran forward to the trees, but a guard appeared before they could get there. They turned around and ran the other way, but the guard grabbed Joel before he could get away.
"Guys, help!" he cried. The others tried to run after him, but the guard was too fast, and he took Joel.
This guard grabs Joel and we cannot do anything, so we just keep going with the task so we can get him out.
"Okay, so the numbers are in the trees, what does that mean?" Rosanna asked.
"I have no idea, I guess we just look for numbers," Willow said.
———
"There's a chest over there, maybe that's useful," Phil said. The group walked over to it.
"It looks like a shape fits into lock. Something in the shape of a diamond," Dan said.
"So, we just need to look for something in the shape of a diamond. Sounds easy enough," Lizzie said. The group started looking around for the diamond. Suddenly, the door swung open, and the guests looked over to see the guard grabbing Lizzie.
Before we know what's going on, the guard captures Lizzie, and we're all way to scared to try and help her.
Before anyone could react, Lizzie was gone and the door was slammed shut. The group stood around for a moment, processing what just happened.

"So, Lizzie just got taken. We need to find this key and get her back," Dan said. The group continued to look for the diamond.
———
The guards dragged Lizzie and Joel to the kitchen and threw them into the jail cell.
"What happened?" Oli asked as the guards locked the door.
"The guard came and I tried to run away but I got caught," Joel explained.
"I was standing near the door and the guard caught me before I knew what was going on," Lizzie explained.
"At least you're okay," Lilly said.
"Yeah," Lizzie said, "I hope the others are doing okay."
———
"Wait, guys, there's a number pinned to the tree," Willow shouted, "and a Roman numeral."
"What number is it?" Rosanna asked.
"Three. And the numeral is a two," Willow said.
"What does that mean?" Mark asked.
"Maybe the number is the code and the numeral is its position," Rosanna said.
"That's it, it has to be," Willow said, "I'll put this in, you guys keep looking for the code."
"Okay," Rosanna said. Willow ran off to the chest and put the three into the padlock, before running back and looking for the rest of the code.
"I got another one," Mark said.
"Me too!" Rosanna said. The two of them ran towards the chest, swiftly followed by Willow and put the numbers into the padlock. It opened and they grabbed the key and ran towards the castle.
———
"Guys, I found a few diamonds," Zoe said, "I don't know which one will work, I'll just bring them all over."
She grabbed four diamond shapes and took them over to the chest. The group joined her as she tried each of the diamonds. The second one unlocked the chest.

"I got the key!" Zoe cried as she grabbed it and stood up. The group ran for the kitchen.
———
Both groups met as they ran for the kitchen. Mark and Zoe walked in first as they had the keys, and everyone else followed. They noticed that the chef and his guards were nowhere to be seen. Mark and Zoe unlocked the cell and let Oli, Lilli, Lizzie and Zoe out.
"So, you completed the tasks I set you," the chef said from behind the guests, "I'm impressed."
The guests walked backwards to let the chef walk in, although they were also a little scared of him.
"Now, you must vote on the two who will complete my challenge. However, you may only vote for those who were captured," he said, "go now, and send me two victims."
The chef and his guards stood away from the door and the guests filed out.

With a set of memories, the knowledge of the future, in a play orchestrated by the destiny, knowing well that he is born to be a Villain, will he prevail? Or is he going to fall at the hands of the Child of Destiny just like he did in the nightmare that haunts him? Author's Note: Yes, the story is heavily influenced by Urban-Fantasy Chinese Novels. Don't read if you have a problem with those types of plots. 'Cliche' plot elements are bound to appear, so if you easily get triggered by such things, keep away. And I would advise you to not even start the story if you are the ardent believer of 'Good shall prevail over the Evil'. Keep away! MC here is a Villain! But yes, he is not someone deprived of emotions, even though he is a Scum. So, do not expect an outright Evil MC either. I don't write Netorare. Don't worry about it! Warnings: > Dark Elements > Sexual Content> Traumatising Content> Gore> Manipulative MC> Parallel World (Almost a new World)> Fantasy Elements (Full-fledged Fantasy later)> System> Slavery > Contains themes that are viewed as Taboo in our world, but not in the world this story is based in. Update Schedule: Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday on WebNovel, ScribbleHub, MSB, and RR. More frequent releases on Patreon with 25 or more chapters each month.

Economicalopoly
Humanity had gotten this far. How far, might you be wondering? Quite far indeed. The world had effectively become an ecumenopolis, almost; not in real life at least, in Economicalopoly of course! More on that later, in our story the main character is Charlie. Charlie was an exceptionally talented young man, the key word being 'was'. He was an incredibly unmotivated individual who generally steered clear from other 'Homo sapiens' as he put it. This was all because of an accident he had early on in life, when he was but 15 years old.

This Book
The author, Edward Faust is aware that “This Book” does not really describe what this book is about. We shall pretend that it is a meta artistic choice but the reality is that Mr. Faust is bad at coming up with titles, and since starting This Book back in 2015 as a NaNoWriMo project he could never come up with a good one. This Book’s genre is YA Supernatural, but that’s only as helpful as any genre tag (IE: not very) so I shall describe it further. This Book is primarily about reincarnation, but it also features mythical creatures such as angels (known here as Seraphs), demons, Byzantines, as well as homeschoolers. Two mythical homeschoolers in fact make up the main characters of this work, a pair of siblings named Grayson and Kish. They live in metro Atlanta in the year 2019 AD with their Aunt. On one particular day they are plunged into a rabbit hole of spiritual and metaphysical politics by the arrival of a mysterious one-eyed Green haired woman and strange humanoid creatures into their lives. That is where the story begins. Yes. This book can also be found at https://thisbook.home.blog/
