《Escape The Night - Season 3》Episode 10, Part 1 - Witch Finder

Previously on Escape The Night, the guests met a wicked nurse. Some were poisoned, but their friends saved their lives. During the challenge, the guests were forced to poison themselves, and Joe couldn't create the cure quickly enough.
"The next lieutenant is a Witch Finder. It says he was ruthless, as evil as those he executed, and he would accuse anyone he didn't like, regardless of evidence," Lizzie read, "he would execute entire families if one person was suspected of witchcraft. It says that sometimes he would force the villagers to vote for who they thought the witch was, and he would burn whoever they voted for."
Can't imagine how that feels.
"So, the witch finder made people vote on who to kill?" Phil said.
"Looks like he gets our situation," Lilly said, "if he gives us the challenge, he'll make us vote. I think I'd rather he just chooses someone at random."
"I'd feel better, it'll probable be a fairly brutal death," Willow said.
"Are we ignoring the fact that he executed entire families?" Thomas asked.
"Yeah, that's messed up, did he kill the children as well?" Phil asked.
"He might have," Dan said. The door creeped open, and a tall, intimidating man walked through the door.
"You all stand accused of witchcraft," he said in a booming voice to the terrified guests, "only one among you is in league with the devil, and I will find them. You will all stand trial in the courtyard in one hour, and the guilty one will be sentenced to death by burning at the steak."
With that, he left, leaving a note behind, which Tiffany picked up and opened.
Hello guests,
I was not in attendance of Joey's second party as I had been killed at his first. In life, I was a member of the Society Against Evil, but I told a servant of the house, one who was in leave with the evil. It was my fatal mistake. I was killed so the house could kill my friends. I can help you now, though. Go to the garden and I'll meet you there and give you further instructions. Yours -Shane Dawson.

"He was part of the Society," Rosanna said, "maybe the others knew him."
"You might be right, next time they come we should ask them if they knew him," Phil said.
"Maybe they know what happened to him, or maybe we can ask them about our situation a bit more," Dan said.
"I would be intrigued to know how much they know about what's going on here," Willow said, "or maybe we could ask Shane."
"He said to go to the garden," Mark said, " we should go and talk to him. Maybe he can tell us something."
The group left for the garden and saw a figure standing there. His clothes suggested he was from the 1920s, but the blood around his mouth and on his shirt, and his pale skin, suggested he was dead.
"It's me, Shane, free the three ghosts of the innocent victims of the witch finders, you can save a life," he vanished after speaking, much to the guests surprise.
"Dammit, we could have asked him about the Society," Willow said, "anyway, he said something about ghosts."
"How do we free the ghosts? Do we just find them, or is it more complicated than that?" Zoe asked, "I don't feel like performing an exorcism tonight, it's been weird enough and I am not dealing with possessions."
Zoe heard Joey's voice in her head saying "Hey, I helped you out! I am offended!"
"Maybe we should just find them and maybe they'll tell us what to do," Mark suggested.
"That sounds like our best bet," Phil said.
"So, we get into three groups and wander around looking for them for an hour?" Dan asked, "that sounds really inefficient, we'd be here until the sun rose, then we'd all die."

Just then, the witch finder appeared behind them. The guests scrambled back in fear.
"There are three ghosts here, although I would hardly call them innocent. They turned to the devil! One is in the bell tower, one is in the library and the last one is in the kitchen. They will tell you how to free their miserable souls to go to hell," he said, before leaving.
"Why did he just help us?" Willow asked.
"No idea, but he did to help us so I say we just do what we need to do and hope we live," Lilly said.
