The knights returned from battle, eager to spread the news of their success, when they saw a beautiful woman sitting on a rock in the moat. She sang a beautiful song, and the knights were transfixed by her. They walked towards her, almost in a trance. As she sang, her power over them grew. They walked onto the drawbridge, then into the moat. As the woman continued singing, her spell over the knights stopped as they began to sink into the depths of the dark water.
