《Escape The Night - Season 3》The Society - Part 1

The members of the Society Against Evil walked towards the house. There were three of them. Two had been in this situation before, one had not. They stood in front of the house for a moment, before walking in to find the guests.
———
The guests jumped as they heard a knock on the door. Two of them walked in, and the guests ran into the corner of the room.
"Andrea? Tyler?" Alex said, almost as if he was asking a question.
"Its good to see you again," the girl said. Alex and Lauren ran over and hugged them.
"Why are you here?" Lauren asked.
"We joined the Society Against Evil," Tyler explained, "we didn't want this to happen to anyone else."
"Is Joey here? We need to talk to him," Andrea said.
"He died," Alex said.
"Oh, well, we weren't expecting that," Tyler said. One more person entered the room.
"Matt?" Rosanna said. They met each other in the middle of the room and hugged.
"What are you doing here?" Rosanna asked.
"We're part of the Society Against Evil," he said. The guests walked forward tentatively. Tyler smiled over at Dan and Phil, and they smiled back.
"We were sent to see what was going. Check if you were doing ok," Matt explained.
"Technically, yes, realistically, no," Willow said.
"I get how you feel. This is just horrible," Andrea said.
"You've been through this too?" Thomas asked.
"Joey's last party. Set in the Victorian Era. That was the party Alex and Lauren died in. We survived," Andrea explained.
"I'm the exception. I've actually never been invited to one of these parties before. The Society contacted me and asked me to join," Matt said.

"Can't imagine why you'd want to," Tyler said. The three shared a laugh.
After quickly looking around the room, Andrea noticed the small totem tower.
"How well are you doing?" she asked.
"Well, we've got three totem pieces and freed two guests, so we're doing as well as we should be doing right now," Willow said.
"As long as you're not doing worse, you're on the right track," Tyler said.
"And you've found the notebook that tells you about the lieutenants?" Matt asked.
"Yes," Lizzie grabbed it.
"Looks like you're doing ok. How are you for time?" Andrea asked. Alex grabbed his pocket watch.
"Its 9:30pm," the guests shared confused looks, "time moves slightly slower here. Each minute in our time is two minutes regular time. Its a little weird, but the longer you stay here, the longer the spirit can play with you. You've been here for 5 hours regular time, so in our time, its midnight."
"That makes, some sense," Willow said.
"Anyway, we just came to check in. We'll be back in 2 and a half hours to see how you're doing, and we'll take the bodies away," Matt said. The two groups awkwardly said goodbye and Matt, Tyler and Andrea left.
———
After collecting all the bodies, they loaded the coffins into their carriage and set off.
"I hope they make it," Tyler said.
"They will. They're strong," Andrea said.
"At least we get to check in on them, see how they're doing," Matt said. The three rode away from the house, and vanished when they left the grounds.

They are not a focus by any means. When writing the story of about the viewpoint of a Healer, certain details such as wounds and blood will be written in some detail.

Killstealer
Unfinished - Apologies to anyone who was reading but I have no current intentions to revisit this story Alex was stuck in a rut: He was nearing thirty, and his career seemed to be going no-where; He used to have plenty of friends at university, but had gradually lost touch with them. He had recently started using a dating site, but truthfully he never quite got over his ex. It could be worse; he didn't spend his nights wallowing in self pity. However, he had a sinking feeling that his life was going no-where fast. When Alex decided to take up an old hobby all he really was looking for was something fun to do on friday nights. Thrust into another world by a mad mage Alex must adapt quickly to survive. Unfortunately, Alex showed up late to game night and ends up stuck with a pretty mediocre character in this game like reality. Alex must learn to survive in this new world; just because it all seems like a giant game doesn't make death any less terrifying. This will be my first attempt at writing litrpg. I wanted to set myself the challenge of writing every week and I think knowing people might be reading it will motivate me. I've always worked much better with external deadlines. FAQ Why should I read this LitRPG? I am writing because I enjoy it and you should read it if you enjoy it. If I had to make an elevator pitch I would start off by saying my MC is a rogue type character, which seems a relatively uncommon character at least based on what I have read. I also strive to make the supporting cast three dimensional characters, and not just caricatures. Finally, I can't forget that this is a LitRPG so I have tried to make a RPG system with depth, and one that makes sense. How often will you release chapters? At least once a week is my goal. I am a nurse with a baby at home, so between my hospital and my baby I won't have time for more unless something dramatically changes. Will there be romance? I won't rule it out as I try to let my characters write their own stories. However, there will NEVER be a harem, it just isn't something I am interested in. Gore, Profanity, and Traumatising Content? I don't intend to have any of these present at obscene levels, but my tolerance might be different to yours. The tags are mostly there to cover me. Saga of the Space Marines
HARVEST! BUILD! DESTROY! Total war until annihilation. This is the story of the end of the human race. If it sounds like fun it’s because it is. The Saga relates the events and personal histories of the men of the 3rd Marine Space Expeditionary Force and their bitter MAXWAR (mutually assured eXtinction war) against the alien Krag Subjugation. Told from the view point of the warfighters on the front lines, the blue collar workers who build and maintain the infrastructure that supports them, and the scientists and engineers who develop the technologies that power their victories on the battlefield. This mission, The Maggot Colony, relates the first part of the adventure, where their capital ship, The Good Shepherd, is critically damaged, and a small force is sent to establish an outpost on the surface of a nearby planet to secure much needed emergency supplies and fuel. The situation is desperate, the fighting is brutal and the technical challenges both in space and on the planet surface seem insurmountable. Fans who enjoy the intellectual challenges and intricate storylines from real-time-strategy games such as Starcraft II or the pure destructive awesomeness of first person shooters such as Doom, Halo and Gears of War are encouraged to check out the Space Marines. It’s not for everyone, but it might be just what you are looking for. Best of luck in choosing your next read, and if you don’t pick the Saga of the Space Marines today please consider us next time because reading great stories is time well spent.
