The queen looked to her husband, who smiled at her, and then to the prisoners begging for mercy.

"We didn't commit any crimes!"

"We were framed!"

"Please have mercy!"

The prisoners were accused of theft from the king's private treasury. There was a small amount of gold taken, but there was no evidence to convict them of any crime. But the king and queen were ruthless.

"Their execution will be tomorrow. Let them say goodbye to their families," the king ordered. The prisoners screamed for mercy as they were dragged away. As everyone left, a spirit appeared before the king and queen.

"I can give you all the power you desire, if you will join me," the spirit whispered, "come towards me and you will be given all the power you wish for."

The king and queen, as if in a trance, walked towards the spirit. It transformed into a portal, and the king and queen were pulled into it. They reappeared on the other side. They were outside a castle.

"Enter the castle and receive your power," the spirit whispered. The king and queen walked towards the castle.
