A chain can be see was tied up and surrounding a person's leg, the chain seems to be made from a chrome steel. A strong one that to prevent something with brute strength to escape, the chain was not just tied up on the person's leg, but his arms as well, each of it were been lock up and can only be unlock by a key. With the man, there are two more person with him, a short man who seems in middle age, and he was at the size of the 9 year old child, the other was a woman, taller than a the man.

Who are they, his assistance, no those two were his friends and had bond as close as family, the man was known as Scott Free, a.k.a. "Mr. Miracle", he was rehearsing his latest escape act with the aid of his wife, Big Barda the taller woman, and their assistant, Oberon the short old man.

It involves shackling his hands and feet, encasing himself in a full-body sarcophagus, encasing the sarcophagus in a block of ice, and then dropping a train car on himself. "What are you, the world's greatest escaped artist or the world greatest idiot?, for crying out loud Scott, not even you can get out from this trap" Oberon said. "That's what i like to think about you Oberon, your incurable optimism" Scott said, praise him.

"Stop distracting him and get the canister" Big Barda said, as she point to the where the canistor was. She then look at her husband and wear him his mask, "I hate to admit, but Oberon had a point" Big Barda said. "Don't worry darling, they don't call me Mr. Miracle for nothing, beside, i hadn't any trick since the existence of space beast, and Ultraman, i was thinking, he could be a greatest in my performance" Mr. Miracle said. "You shouldn't bother or involve someone for your performance, and the first rule of show business, never believe your own publicity" Big Barda said.

The floor start to shown there was a secret door and came out a steel container, each of it were design to contain someone from escaping, one by one the contain start to seal his body, and finally his head. Oberon than finally arrived with the canister and start to activate it, "Craziest stunt you ever pull" Oberon said as he activate the canister gas tank. "That's why we rehearsing" Scott said with confident. "Kids got an answer for everything" Oberon said as he aim the hose to the contain and, it somehow freeze it.

Which mean it was canister that fill with nitrogen, it 100% freeze and seal scott inside, there is no way he can get out at this point, but Mr. Miracle always had his way. Oberon and Barda running and step aside from the train track, "Let's hope the train's running late today" Oberon hope, as he didn't convince enough of this. They then heard the sound of train whistle and helicopter fans. Turns out the train was been transport by the helicopter.

"Leave a disguise-free to find the newest wrinkles" Barda said didn't aspect something like this will happen, "You sure given me a few" Oberon said thinking the same, as he place his hand on his forehead. The helicopter soon release the chain that carry and tied the train and it was fall direct towards to Scott who was freeze inside. The shadow can be seen getting bigger and bigger, as it was almost reach towards to Mr. Miracle.

Both Barda and Oberon now worrying that Scott might not manage to escape. The train finally slam itself to Scott's containment and crush it with him, was that it, is Scott still alive, Both Barda and Oberon run towards the crush side to see if they could find him and hope he was okay. "Scott!, Scott!" Barda shout her husband's name, as she run towards to the train wreckage and remove it using her might. But no sight of him, "Oh ye a little faith" until the both heard a familiar voice from behind.

Mr. Miracle was standing behind them, perfectly fine without even scratch on him, Barda saw him and run towards him and embrace him, "Scott i though you were dead" she said as she embrace her husband, but she then let go and her face was little angry by her husband dangerous stunt. "You inseparable showboat, i though you were death" she said as she lift him up, "When you and Oberon are going to learn that?" Mr. Miracle said.

But then he notice Oberon was missing. "Hey where is Oberon?" he ask as the little guy wasn't there anymore. But then they heard a very familiar voice came from the shadow of the train wreck, "Don't worry doubling, he safe and sounds, in Grannies loving care, of course if you ever want to see the old man again, you will do everything as Granny's said " Granny Goodness.

She was one of Darkseid's wickedest disciples, she was known for oversees the sadistic Orphanage of Apokolips and her own squad of Female Furies. Darkseid's armies are known for spreading terror across the universe, but they are molded into his loyal servants by the insidious Granny Goodness. "Granny Goodness, I'll kill you, you dementor gargoyle" Barda spoke in threatening tone as she saw that old wicket.

"Barda" he hold his wife and try to calm her down, "I'm not let your temper causes Oberon's life" he said and then he approach the old woman, "I knew you wouldn't let her hurt your own granny, Scott" Granny said, "What do you want?" Scott ask, he really didn't like when Granny Goodness was here. And to think her as a grandmother, she was worse to receive it. "Life on the Apokolips had been very difficult since great Darkseid Vanished, dear Granny is try her best to bring order towards to our world" Granny said.

"You mean you been trying to take over" Barda corrected it, "But there are others who seek to thwart Granny good intentions" Granny said, "Virman Vundabar" Barda said as the 7 foot tall woman cross her arms. But however it wasn't Virman who they though, but something worse "Oh Virman, he maybe actually awful, but this one is worse" Granny said as.....she sound afraid.

Barda and Scott didn't know what make Granny was little afraid, "Then who if it wasn't Virman?" Scott ask, "Oh dear, it was a dark warrior that create from the pit of hell and darkness itself, he was the devil and counterpart of Ultraman.....Mephisto" Granny said, "We heard about him, so what withs the devil?" Barda ask.

"Oh dear do you know he actually imprison darkseid's son, poor dimwitted Kalibak", "He hopes to legitimize his claims to the throne, why he's probably brainwashing the poor creature right now, bending him to his will" Granny said, "Like you're not planning the same thing" Barda said, as she starring at the shorter old woman in front of her. "What do you want?" This time Scott interfere as he was loose his patient with Granny Goodness.

"No it's nothing really, Granny just needed you to break in the place, where Kalibak has been held and bring him to Granny's orphanage" she said as she walk towards to the train wreckage and gran a chain that hang on it's rail. "Where he can get proper care" Granny said with wicked smile, "If we do that, we be handing you control the Apokolips" Barda said, "Exactly, but unfortunately, Mephisto and Faust now is took charge of the Apokolips and of course we who saw Darkseid as our true ruler, refuse to submit to two imbecile" Granny said.

She still hold the chain, "But if you find the prospective tasteful, wait to see when i send Oberon to you....piece by piece" Granny threatening them, Scott seems reluctant to involve in this, but his father figure had been captured, so he had no choice but to agree. "Where is Kalibak?" he ask, "On the Apokolips of course, in the X-pit" Granny mention that place, and this caught Scott in shock.

Granny caught Scott shock expression, "Why, you're not afraid of the pit, aren't you Scott?" she mock him, and soon the vision of Scott's past appear, where Granny tortured him and trap him in the shrink glass box, when he was a boy. "No, i'm not afraid" Scott accept this as a challenge. And Granny give them her wicked smile, "oh and one more thing, beware of the demon" she then give a chuckle and disappear from the sight.

Flash and Elongated man were seems to talk about, how public were view on them, elongated man mention, civilian couldn't stop label him as a comic book relief, but flash mention it was better than been treated like a teenage sidekick, Fire was walking past through them, ignoring those two hero. "I mean, i was the original seven, tell me the truth well, do i seem immature to you?" flash ask, "Not in the least" Elongated man said.

As they both playing Mattel rock 'Em sock 'Em robots. As the keep tapping the button Flash manage to beat the game, "Hah got you bluck off" he said, "T-that's not fair, the green guy arms are longer" Elongated man said, denied that, "Or not, hey isn't that Mr. Miracle and what's her name, Big Bard?" Flash said as he saw Scott and Barda walking pass them, "I don't even know they were in the league, but there is so many of us now so it's hard to-" Elongated man was about to said before Flash stood and follow them.

"No, they are not in the league i'm sure of it" Flash said as he follow them up, he found them talking to J'onn A.K.A manhunter at the command center. "And this Granny Goodness pick you because?' he ask, "I'm the only one whoever escaped the X-pit" Scott said. Flash was about to interrupt but Manhunter wave at him not to interrupt. "And if you refuse the request?" Manhunter ask, "Oberon died!!" Barda spoke it clearly.

"Down dear, we only got 24 hours and we need help" Scott said, "Well i'' be happy to-" Flash volunteer himself only for Scott spoke superspeed are invulnerable help, "Superman is on the mission in deep space, but even if he weren't, it make no sense to the league to help the dictator to come to power on Apokolips", "A dictator who could eventually threatening earth, just as Darkseid did, better to let them fight among themselves than attack the across of the universe" Manhunter said.

"And what about Ultraman, maybe he could help" Scott said, but however they receive no words from the Manhunter, for a second until he spoke "Follow me" he said, as he took them all to medical room, Barda and Scott seems to had bad feeling about this. They then stop in front one of the room and look through the visitor window, they saw a man who was laying on the bed, wearing a gas mask and several nerve tracker been put on his hand, chest and his head. The evoltruster was placed next to him.

"Who is that?" Barda ask, "That was Ultraman" Manhunter said, him?, well they didn't expect actually Ultraman was a human in disguise, they heard about his defeat and his victory, there is a news about him happen an hours ago, when the public news show Ultraman and Mephisto were now work together defeating Bugbuzun. This however make a lot of from upper class and military to go against him, Lex Luthor even had declare a contingency plan for Ultraman in case they had gone rouge. They had create a weapon that can harm him and the space beast.

Luthor even spoke that this prove Ultraman was a liar as he team up with the dark giant, many protestor didn't agree especially those people who Ultraman had saved before. But they don't believe on that news. "How bad his injury was?" Scott ask, "He keep push himself, i'm afraid if he transform one last time, he........might not wake up anymore" Manhunter said reluctantly. Then who is going to help them rescuing Oberon, he was like a second father to Scott.

And they just had only 24 hours left. Flash look at between them, "I'm truly sorry, but there is nothing we can do to help you" Manhunter said, but that's not the answer what Barda want, "Then what about Oberon, you just want to let him died like that?!" she said rise her voice a little, "If we interfere, we might cause more harm than good, i'm sorry" Manhunter said, "Why you green skin beetle brown arrogant" she said as she attempt to hurt the manhunter with her baton.

But Scott stop her from doing it, Flash still look at them, thinking what J'onn spoke was wrong but he didn't want to cause more conflict. "I'm truly sorry" with the final answer from the Manhunter, Barda storm out and Scott follow her from behind. "I though we were about helping people?" Flash questioning as that was the main priority for Justice league.

"And would you helps a three people at the expense 3 billion more?" Manhunter ask. "No" Flash said, "You need to look at the bigger picture Wally" Manhunter said. "Well excuse me for opening my big dumb mouth" Flash said as he walk away from Manhunter. Manhunter just look at him, apart of him do felt guilty, but thing would be worse if Justice League interfere with Apokolips, especially that place where Darkseid was ruled.

Barda and Scott can be seen walking at garden area of the watch tower, "We don't need these cowards, we can do on our own" Barda said but before they could leave, Flash run past through them, "Great news Birthday, you don't had to" Flash said, but Barda grab his throat and lift him up. "Barda" she corrected her name to Flash, "Isn't that what i said" Flash said as he look at the woman in the eye. "And we don't require your assistance" Barda said as she place Flash down.

"We appreciate the offer flash but-" Scott said only for Barda to spoke, "Unless you got your brain on your toe, because you are pretty useless". "Hey i may not pretty strong as superman or Ultraman" he said as he grab the baton and disappear, "But i'm just as fast" he said as he appear surrounding Barda who struggle to punch him. Only to give him a orchid and place it on top of her baton. "Friend" he said as he offer the flower.

But surprisingly, Barda accept it and smile, Scott approach them and place his hand on her shoulder. "Maybe we can use you".

Many scream of hurt and help can be heard by the prisoner of the Apokolips at the X-pit, one of the cell, held the prince of the god of termination and extinction, both of his arm been tied up by a chain, and so do his feet, he was been held in T pose.

Kalibak slowly open his eye and saw Mephisto who was wearing a dark purple cape that surround him, the only noticeable was his red eye starring straight towards him, beside him was Faust who was leaning at the wall behind them, her arm cross on her chest. He was standing in front of Kalibak's cell, between them was an electric fence, enough to paralyze him, if he either brave or stupid enough to charge through it. "What are you looking at you freak!?" Kalibak said, rudely.

But no answer from the dark warrior, instead he press the button and soon a device came out and attach itself around Kalibak's head, it create a noise in his brain causing him to scream in pain, Mephisto red eye starring at him, without even mercy at all, Kalibak was a fool. No equal to rule this place. And the dark heart was still under construct, but what will it do as it had been set up to a new program. Virman Vundabar with two of parademon accompany him went towards to Kalibak's cell, hearing him screaming in pain.

As they approach Mephisto, they stop. "Lord Mephisto.....we were almost done to constructed the superweapon that you wanted to" Virman said. Mephisto slowly turn his head towards to the man, his red eye starring at him, Mephisto was 7 foot tall in human size. Cover by a cloak, they way he stare to the short man is like a demon who starring right towards to the soul, Virman known Mephisto much, the guy was ruthless, but he was silent and deadly.

His sister Faust was little talkative, but still deadly, any wrong word are enough to set him off, the day when he first arrived here with Faust, they claim that, they were Mighty Darkseid ally, but of course Kalibak didn't take it to kindly and foolishly attack them, only for him to be beaten bloody hell and become a toy to the space beast for 9 months straight, and here the son of Darkseid now was imprison and now be tortured to half death. "Very good, finish the rest" he spoke.

"Yes, lord Mephisto" Virman said as he and the parademon walk away, meanwhile Granny Goodness was at the other room, the space itself was huge, on top of the ceiling, there was a 3 large blade that swing left and right, one by one. Below it laying Oberon who was tied up with a steel chain to prevent him from escaping. Granny approach him, "Enjoying Granny's hospitality?" she ask, "I blow up you shush step" Oberon said. "I would speak to granny with more respect" Granny said.

"Because soon as get rid of those 2, i will be a ruler of Apokolips" Granny said, "Are you always this delusional or it's just a sanity fact?" Oberon ask, he questioning about Granny could really rule the Apokolips. "Ah you wound Granny" she said with mocking sad tone. "But not as deeply as Granny going to wound you" she said as the blade continue swinging.

The blade start to slide down slowly, and one of it almost hit Oberon's chest, luckily it was not enough to reach him. They only had few hours to rescued him, at somewhere at the narrow street at the city of Apokolips, a portal was opened and Scott, Barda and Flash can be see running out from it. Flash look around the place as the whole place was cover by fire, "Should had brought my sun cream" he said. Barda then hold her baton and soon an armor appear and cover her entire body.

"Over there, that's where the X-pit house and Kalibak with it" Scott pointed the building in front of them. "Not that i mind the exercise, but could you boom tube or transport to brought us closer" Flash, "Is Boom t.u.b.e, don't you think we could had come any closer if we could have" Barda said as she stare at the speedster. "Vundabar technology disrupt time space and field of the tune" Scott explain, "Otherwise we just boom Kalibak out of the pit, right?" Barda continue, "Oh, right" Flash understood.

But then they heard a growler coming towards them, several guard appear while riding a dog, storming towards them, "Why do i get the feeling, those puppy had the shot?" Flash said, "Then let's give them a few" Scott said as he and Barda were ready. A circle plate coming out from his feet and he hover and went towards the guard, Barda and Flash circle around, flash approach them and running in circle, at incredible speed, took them out one by one. Barda swing her baton and throw the guard away from her.

Scott approach and punch the guard several guard on his way, but they release a shot causing him to fly away but return, he then press the button on his utility belt and jet pack flame coming out from his back. He dashing out to the guard that had a floating motor and kick him off to the ground, same goes to the other guard who was riding a dog. One of the dog tackle Barda off to the ground, as it try to bite her, Barda place her baton and shock the dog, and she kick it off from her.
