After getting ready for the day, y/n and Grim attended class as normal before sitting with the Savanaclaw Trio at lunch. Ace and Deuce were nowhere to be seen at that time, making y/n worry that they're not eating enough or at all.

"Breakfast after a good workout is amazing, y'know! I crave meat more than usual." Grim remarks before chowing down on his meal,"Same, I'm super hungry this morning." y/n admits before eating her food as well.

"Oh yeah, that's right..." Leona is suddenly reminded of their situation as he puts his utensils down,"So why did ya'll decide to do something as dumb as making a deal with that octo-punk?" he asks with hands laces together and his chins resting on top of them,"Thanks to that my room shrank." he adds with annoyance.

"Well, you see... It's about the anemones. I want to try and free them cause if I lose, I become a servant as well. And to be honest, I don't wanna work for Azul." y/n explains before taking a sip of her juice.

"Hah! You made a deal to free all those idiots that entered contracts for the final exams?! Hahaha!" Leona laughs a genuine laugh,"This is rich. Sends a chill down my spine." he snickers and y/n glare pouts at him, which actually made her look cute from his perspective,[Heh, she looks like a chipmunk.] Leona thought with an amused grin.

"There was that rumor about how amazing Azul's test notebooks were. I can totally understand why someone would want it." Ruggie remarks as he waves his fork around,"Does that mean you two didn't make a deal with Azul for the tests?" Jack questions,"Leona seems like the one who'd wanna take it easy the most..." he trails off by Leona's glare,"Ah, no, nevermind." he immediately says.

"Idiot. Who in their right mind would make a deal with that cheating bastard because they want to?" Leona rolls his eyes,"I have made a deal before because the situation called for it, but... The conditions weren't anything crazy." he adds and y/n sweatdrops at him,"So you're an idiot too?" she utters and Leona growls at her,"You bite your tongue, Herbivore." he says lowly, but y/n rolls her eyes at him.

"Yeah, he's not the kind of guy you wanna rely on casually. But he is a skilled wizard that can make even the most outlandish wishes come true." Ruggie praises before taking another bite of his food,"When making a deal, the one who wants something has the disadvantages." Leona starts.

"There's many numbers of ways to dupe herbivores that can't think on their feet and will sign a contract without considering it carefully." he claims and y/n starts to get slightly nervous,"Now I'm really worried about this. He sounds like a true trickster." she remarks.

"Tell me about it. What kind of condition did he give you?" Leona asks and y/n explains everything to them. Both Leona and Ruggie's expressions read doubt and sympathy. To which the last one is uncharacteristic of the prince.

"By the time the sun sets on the third day..." Leona starts,"Sneak into the Atlantica Memorial Museum and take a certain picture..." Ruggie finishes and silence befalls them shortly.

"You have... My condolences." Ruggie immediately bows his head with a hand over his heart and ears pinned down,"You shouldn't say stuff like that when the game has just begun, y'know!" the Ramshackle Duo scream at him, but Ruggie shrugs them off before snatching a piece of meat from y/n's plate, who didn't mind all that much since Grim does it a lot.

"To begin with, isn't the Atlantica Memorial Museum under water? How exactly do you plan to get there?" he asks before eating the piece of meat,"Azul game is a potion that'll let us breathe underwater." Grim reveals,"We don't know how well it'll work, though." Jack says and y/n nods,"For all we know, it'll turn us into guppies." she comments with a frown.

"It'll work just fine if it's from Azul. I don't think his pride would let him make a subpar potion." Ruggie reassures them,"... Hmph. Then shouldn't you hurry up and get a move on? Time is money, as they say." Leona huffs a smirk as he waves them off lazily.

"Ffna! Oh yeah. We should get to the Atlantica Memorial Museum ASAP!" Grim jumps to his feet and scurried into y/n's head,"Grim has a point. We're burning daylight over here the longer we wait." y/n says as she gets up,"You're right. We've only got three days. There's no time to drag our feet." Jack follows her lead and gets up as well.

"We'll meet up with Ace and Deuce on the way. We're off!" Grim announces,"See ya, Ruggie, Leona!" y/n waves with a small smile before they all ran off,"... Ahhhahhh, there they go." Ruggie smiles after them with half-lidded eyes,"Leona, you're so mean." he spares the prince a side glance,"... Hah, I don't know what you mean." Leona chooses to look the other way, chin resting in his cupped hand.

Back with the gang, they all met up in the Mirror Chamber. Y/n was quick to take the bottle of potion out, but as it turns out, Ace and Deuce got their own as well and Jack and Grim even got their own from them too,[Guess Azul is as gracious as he's gonna get like this.] y/n thought as she studies the liquid inside, swishing it around a bit.

"This potion we got from Azul, is it really going to allow us to breath underwater?" Deuce questions with a doubtful and wary look,"Wondering won't do us any good. We have to just drink it." Jack states,"Well then, do this on 'go'." Ace says and they all pop the cork open,"Ready, go!" he shouts and they all simultaneously down a bit of the potion.

The taste of it was rotten in their mouths,"Ugh... Th-This is..." Deuce holds a hand in front of his mouth,"Ugh! Disgusting! It tastes like medicine!" y/n screams with disgust written clearly on her face,"Bleeegh! It tastes like dried frog mixed with rotten mushrooms, y'know!" Grim sticks his tongue out,"Oh, that's even worse..." y/n can feel her own face become green from nausea.

"What kind of example is that? What the hell are you eating?" Jack questions Grim before letting out a couch,"This flavor is a punch in the face..." he groans with a grimace,"The way potions taste is a serious problem if you ask me. How the hell do adults put up with this?" Ace remarks before sticking his tongue out,"... Blegh." he voices his disgust as he tries to keep his food in.

"What the hell kind of nasty potions does this world have!?" y/n whines,"Effectiveness is more important than taste. Hm..." Deuce stops short when he realizes that he's struggling to breathe properly,"What? It's getting hard to breathe...!?" he says with shock as everyone else struggles to breathe as well.

Y/n coughs as she held her throat,"Are our lungs starting to adjust for underwater breathing?" Jack wheezes as he's alarmed by this while Ace tries to gasp for air,"Shit, this is really hard. Let's just get to the ocean!" he croaks as Deuce catches y/n under her arms when her legs suddenly gave out.

"Mirror, mirror on the wall! Lead us to the Coral Sea!" Jack quickly coughs out and the Dark Mirror glows insanely bright, opening a passageway for them to which they immediately jump through.

Y/n's entire being is surrounded by the cool waters of the sea and the salty scent invades her nose. Her eyes open to reveal beautifully colored reef corals of many colors and many colorful fish swimming around them. Her hair was floating up and around her as well as her being is floating right above the sea bedding.

"Glubglubglub! We're underwater all of the sudden! We're gonna drown!" Grim panics as he flails his arms around and bubbles escapes his mouth,"...Ugh, what? It doesn't hurt." Deuce notes as he easily breathes in the cool salty water,"Eh? Oh, you're right." Grim immediately calms down as y/n looks at her surrounding with awe.

"We're really breathing right now." Jack utters as he places a hand over his chest, where his lungs are,"Wow, look at that coral reef, it's an amazing view! If Cater saw this he'd be all 'so grammable~' and be snapping photos left and right." Ace says with awe.

"You're right! It's so beautiful and the fish here are adorable." y/n grins brightly as clown fish tries to hide in her hair, but she giggles and gently shook the little guy out.

"We don't have time to see the sights. Let's get to the target while we've still got time." Jack snaps them out of it and they all nods and began swimming towards their destination,"Ffnga! I can't move forward at all." Grim helplessly floats around in circles and y/n rolls her eyes at him with a smile.

She swam back over to him,"Here, hold on to my shoulder." she grabs Grim and allows him to sink his claws carefully into the fabric of her jacket. With that, she swam after their friends.

"Oh... I think I see something." Deuce says after a while as a castle slowly comes into view,"Isn't that the Atlantica Memorial Museum?" Ace questions as y/n's eyes widen at the sight of the museum. There was a dull static at the back of her mind.

Her mind then goes blank and flashes to a different picture. It was the museum right in front of her, but it was lively and full of mermaids and mermen swimming around, laughing, talking, playing and playing music. It was a glorious sight before her,"Atlantica..." she whispers as she reaches out towards it.

But, everything slowly disappears to show the now barren Atlantica. Y/n perks up at this as she pulls her hand back,[What... What was that just now?] she wonders as she looks down at her hand with pursed lips.

"Ffna! There's a bunch of dudes whose legs look like fish." Grim points to some mermen patrolling and guarding the museum,"Are they... merfolk? I can't believe there's actually people living down here." Jack breathes out with wide eyes.

Y/n then looks down when she saw two, very long shadows swimming over them and quickly looks up, but only caught a glimpse of two blue tail fins.

"Aaaaahhh~ They're here, Little Shrimp and crew." a terrifyingly familiar voice cooes with glee,"Greetings, everyone. How do you like it? The world at the bottom of the sea." a second voice says with amusement.

But, they brought anything but comfort. No, they brought dread over the group, causing their blood to run as cold as ice.

"These voices are... the identical twins!" Grim yelps and two eel mermen appears before them,"That's right." Floyd chirps and everyone voices their alarm at the sight of the twins different forms.

"Wh-what's with your appearance!?" Jack questions loudly as he pulls y/n next to himself,"What? This is our 'normal appearance'. We are merfolk, you know." Floyd shrugs with an amused smile as he leans forward a bit,"I knew it!" y/n blurts as she points rapidly at them with wide eyes.

"Hold up! How do you guys have legs then?!" she asks,"While on land, we use a potion to shape shift. We can't walk with our tail fins." Jade explains to her,"Wait, didn't Leona mention that transformation potion is banned or something?" y/n asks and Jade chuckles and puts a finger to his lips,"We got special permission, Miss Prefect." he grins.

"You're really freaking long! How tall... ah no, just how long are you?!" Ace frets with nervous eyes,"Are you sea snakes or something!?" Deuce also joins in as well,"Nope, moray eels." Floyd answers them with a smile.

"But why the hell did you come all the way out here?" Grim asks with a glare,"Ahaha, we obviously came here to get in your way." Floyd laughs and y/n's breath hitches in her throat,"You're kidding me." she mutters with worry,"Yeah, I thought so." Ace frowns with a glare as he pulls his magical pen out.

"We simply can't let you clear the condition so easily." Jade smiles as he and Floyd also hold up their magical pens. The others quickly follow suit,"Y/n, stay behind me." Jack says firmly and y/n swam to hide behind him.

"Come forth, ice! Seeiyaah!" Deuce screams as he shot ice magic at the twins, but it's suddenly deflected to the side,"That magic's never gonna hit me." Floyd grins smugly,"You have no control! Hit them at least once! Take that!" Ace fires his magic at Jade, but his attack is also deflected to the side,"Fufufu. Just where are you aiming?" Jade chuckles in amusement.

"You have no room to talk!" Deuce scolds Ace,"You're kidding. How could I miss like that..." Ace utters with disbelief,"Tch, outta my way. I'll do it!" Jack swims up front,"Oraaa!!" he fires his magic, but it's also deflected,"What!? Right before the spell hits them, it suddenly changes direction!? This is..." he trails off as he eyes the twins.

"Eehh, you're really paying attention, Urchin." Floyd says gleefully,"Animals from land have truly great eyesight." Jade smirks with a knuckle to his lip,"What's keeping you guys from hitting them?" y/n asks Jack with worry as she held Grim tightly.

"I'll tell you why your spells won't land at all." Floyd raises a hand,"My Unique Magic, 'Bind the Heart'... Is magic that gets in the way of your spells and makes them fail." he explains before clapping his hands together,"Isn't it fun?" he chirps with glee.

"Not in the slightest! That's just foul play!" Grim glares at him accusingly and Jade sighs,"Floyd. Divulging everything about your Unique Magic is not something I can get behind." he admits with a prominent frown, but Floyd waves him off with his own frown,"It's fine. They still can't stop it even if they know about it." he reassures his twin and y/n gulps at this.

[This is bad... Really bad.] she thought with dread,"Fine, fine. I am pleased that your magic is cooperating with you today. I would be happy if it was always like this." Jade smiles,"If you're not in the mood then it doesn't work at all... Truly doubting." his brows furrow just the slightest as Floyd smile at his words.

"Hurry, hurry, you better run away. If I catch you then I'll wrap you up in my tail fin." Floyd grins with a mischievous glint in his eyes,"Who should I squeeze first?" he scans everyone before his eyes locks onto y/n, who backs away a bit from nervousness.

"Those guys are enjoying the hunt...! It's just a one-sided fight like this!" Jack scowls with a mean glare and y/n made up her mind about the situation,"Jack, guys, let's retreat for now! We need to make adjustments to our plan!" she shouts and the others stare at each other before nodding at her.

With that, they quickly began to retreat,"Ahaha, it'll be the same no matter how many times you try! There's no way your spindly little legs can beat us in the water." Floyd laughs with a mocking wave,"We are patiently waiting for your next visit." Jade says humbly with a hand over his chest,"Crap! I'll remember this!" Grim shakes his fist at them before they swam through the mirror.

The group land on the ground with a loud, wet thud as they gasp for air,"Are you guys alright?" Deuce was the first to ask,"Somehow..." Ace sighs,"I'm just happy we made it out of there in one piece." y/n groans before they all got up from the ground, whining when she feels her wet clothes stick to her skin.

"I can't believe those guys were merfolk..." Jack ruffles the back of his hair,"It was like being chased by a shark, y'know! Swimming that fast is a coward's move!" Grim grumbles, his face showing clear annoyance.

"No way we're beating merfolk in the water." Ace whines with a shake of his head,"But if we don't get our hands on that photo soon, the Ramshackle Dorm is gonna be taken away..." Grim grew worry at the potential outcome,"Anyway, we need to come up with a new plan." Deuce suggests.

"Yeah. We should also talk to the self-proclaimed informant, Cater." Ace sighs and Jack turns to y/n,"Let's also discuss it with Ruggie and the others when we get back to Savanaclaw." he says and y/n nods,"Good idea." she says, before biting her bottom lip, worry plaguing her mind at this point.
