The next morning, Jack and y/n met up at Ramshackle Dorm before setting off to go hunt down and gather information on Azul. They currently found themselves on the second floor of the school.

"We came all this way to monitor Azul, but..." Jack bites the inside of his cheek,"To be perfectly honest, I thought you wouldn't come with me. Skipping class and all." y/n tells him, her notebook and pen in hand.

"This was a direct order from the headmaster. I'm sure he'll see cutting class as part of it. That and I'm tired of this losing streak." Jack tells her,"If you're gonna find the secret to Azul's strength, I wanna know too." he adds, placing a hand on the girl's shoulder.

"Thanks for tagging along Jack." y/n gives him a smile that made the boy blush and his tail wag, but y/n missed this as she snuck into Azul's first class. Jack stood standing there for a moment before grabbing his tail,"Stop it already!" he hisses at it before following after y/n

"La~ La la la~ Lalalala~" Azul sang beautifully, impressing the two first years,"That guy's got a pretty good singing voice." Jack compliments with awe,"He could've been mistaken for a siren in my opinion." y/n jots down notes before following after Azul again when it was his second period.

"Mrro~oww. Mraw." Azul meows to Lucius, who was lazing on his owner's desk,"Meow~... Pff." the cat responds back,"Hmmhmm. I see." Azul hums before turning to Trein,"According to Lucius, the last treat Mr. Trein gave him was three hours ago." he informs everyone.

"As expected from you, Ashengrotto. That is correct." Trein praises, his nose in the air,"He can understand animal language and also speak it himself." Jack utters to himself as y/n wrote this down came to mind.

"Hey, you're a beatsman. Does that mean you can naturally understand animals and speak their language? Or am I wrong?" she asks and Jack turns to her,"You're wrong. We have to learn it as well." he tells her,"Oh." y/n simply says before the bell rang and they ran after Azul to his third period.

"A beluga's tooth, sturgeon eggs, aurora moth scales and mermaid tears." Azul lists the ingredients he's adding to a bubbling potion,"Add in extract from 120 kinds of medicinal herbs blended together..."

POOF!

The potions blows smoke as it changes color,"It is complete! If you drink thus potion it will be possible to change a part of your body into another animal." Azul explains and Crewel walks over to him.

"Good boy! This level of concoction is something you'll see at the end of your third year. You other puppies would do well to watch and learn from Ashengrotto." he praises the smirking boy.

"He can also put together difficult potions... perfectly." Jack says with an amazed tone,"You think I can have that?" y/n asks after jotting more information down,"Why do you want it?" Jack asks with a raised brow,"I want to see what it's like to have animal ears." y/n answers honestly and Jack turns pink at the thought.

Soon, lunch time came around and they themselves gathered their food while observing Azul in the lunch line,"For lunch today I'll have squid ink pasta. Oh, can't forget to have some vegetables. Eating only carbs will make my diet very unbalanced..." he talks to himself before pouting,"More importantly, I'll gain weight." he says sadly and y/n winces at this,[Don't I know it.] she thought with a sweatdrop.

After that, both she and Jack go to sit at a vacab table,"Azul really seems like a flawless honor student." Jack hums with a conflicted expression before they both perk up at the sight of Grim and the Uno Braincell Duo sitting across from them.

"Ffgnaa~ I'm dead tired from being pushed around by Azul..." Grim whines from exhaustion as he flops down onto the table near y/n,"He's been making me run around cleaning Octavinelle, waiting tables at the lounge, and buying supplies." Ace whines as well,"He made me come to work at 6 this morning." Deuce yawns.

"I have to help at Mostro Lounge again today." Ace sulks and y/n tilts her head,"What did Riddle say about all of this?" she asks with curiosity,"Dorm Head Rosehearts said, 'Entering a contract with Azul? I should be off with your head!'" Deuce imitates,"He got angry and made me write a written apology." he adds with depressed lines on his face.

"And we look dumb since we can't take the anemone off..." Grim grumbles and y/n pokes the sea creature on his head, causing it to wiggle and making her to giggle,"It's not funny!" Grim glares at her angrily.

"Uuugh~" the three sigh with a depressive aura surrounding them,"Hmph. Lay in the bed you made." Jack huffs, uncaring of their suffering as he focuses on his lunch.

"I agree with you Jack..." the trio sulk even more by y/n's words,"But, we still gotta do something for them quickly." they perk up at this now,"But don't think you guys are off the hook just yet! I'm still pissed at you guys." y/n glares at them and they're back to sulking again.

"Oh my, what ever is the matter? You're making a gloomy face." Jade suddenly appears behind her along with Floyd,"Ah ha ha. Look at all the anemones growing around here." Floyd laughs sadistically as he leans down a bit to peer at the Idiot Trio.

"Ffgya! There they are, the identical twins!" Grim jumps up in alarm,"You appear to be exceedingly troubled about something..." Jade with no worry at all,"Yeah, there us a certain someone working us to the bone." Ace spat.

"Ah ha, the contract breaking anemones are saying something." Floyd smirks before glaring menacingly at the three and leaning in closer,"You don't have the right to complain. Shut up." he says lowly, which causes a shiver to run down y/n's spine.

"Eeeeek... I'm gonna get squeezed again." Grim squeaks with fear as he jumps away from the scary twin, hiding behind Deuce and y/n turns her attention to Jade when he put a hand on her shoulder.

"The one I'm talking to is not any of these anemones, but, rather, you. The prefect of Ramshackle Dorm." he reveals and y/n's eyes widen with fright,"Me!? Am I getting squeezed!?" she yelps as she jumps out of her seat and steps away from the twins, but Floyd was quick to grab her upper arms from behind.

"Why're you jumping back like a shrimp? Shrimp..." Floyd hums with a teasing smile as he leans his head against y/n's,"Hmm~ You're so little, so I guess that makes you Little Shrimp." he declares while y/n turns a slight pink at their close proximity.

"I think any student is gonna look small next to you guys..." Deuce utters nervously and with a hint of jealousy,"These two being this big is just too powerful..." Ace states, also nervous.

"You were playing spy together with Riddle just the other day, so you're probably already aware of who we are, but..." Jade takes hold of y/n's hand,"Allow us to reintroduce ourselves. I am Jade Leech." he pecks the back of her hand before gesturing to Floyd,"This is my twin, Floyd."

"Hello, I'm Floyd. Nice to meet you, Little Shrimp." Floyd chirps as he let's y/n go to stand next to Jade with a pleased smile,"Back to the matter at hand. Is your concern perhaps about... The situation these stupid anemones are in?" Jade inquires as he spares the Idiot Trio a glance along with a smirk.

"'Perhaps' my ass. Look at his smug grin." Jack frowns as he gets up from his seat in favor of standing protectively next to y/n,"Who's this guy? He's spiny like a sea urchin." Floyd comments,"Wha... I'm no sea urchin! I'm a wolf!" Jack corrects him with a glare.

"Jack, calm down." y/n tells him, and Jack exhales through his nose,"If the source of your concern is about these anemones... I think it would be best if you approached Azul directly to discuss it with him." Jade suggests with a friendly smile and y/n perks up at this.

"What now?" Jack narrows his eyes at him,"Azul is a deeply benevolent person just like the Sea Witch of the Great Seven. I'm sure he will hear you out." Jade tempts with a hand on his chest,"That's right. Azul can clear up any of your worries. For example..." Floyd leans forward so he's about y/n height,"Even if you wish to free those anemones over there." he gestures with his head towards the Idiot Trio.

This information made the trio gasp,"Of course, 'for free'... is out of the question." Jade adds,"Tch, so that's your aim. You want y/n to enter into a contract with him too." Jack sneers at the twins as y/n purses her lips at this info.

"Please don't bare your fangs. Land creatures are quick to violence it seems." Jade teases with amusement,"We just told you out of the kindness of our hearts. Right, Jade?" Floyd looks at his twin,"Yes, Floyd. We are the kind of people who just can't leave poor, unfortunate souls alone." Jade smirks widely, however off his sharp teeth,"Fufufu... Heh heh heh." they chuckle in unison, which creeps the group out.

"If what we talked about is of any interest to you, then please come by Mostro Lounge at 9pm. We will be waiting with delicious tea ready for you." Jade says with a smile,"I'm waiting for you, Little Shrimp." Floyd waves with a wink before they both left.

"So, that means..." Deuce starts, catching y/n and Jack's attention,"If you sign a contract with Azul and beat him..." Grim adds,"Depending on how it goes, we could be freed!?" Ace's eyes sparkles at the thought.

"We're counting on you, y/n!! Beat Azul!!" they say in unison, on their knees with hands clasped together,"Geez, you guys..." y/n sweatdrops at their antics,"You guys didn't wast any time." Jack frowns in disappointment.

"Guys that don't have an anemone coming out their heads wouldn't understand our pain!" Grim scowls at him,"It's your fault for wanting to take it easy during test time." Jack scolds him with crossed arms.

"And we've learned our lesson, promise." Ace says with a hand over his heart and his other in the air,"Yeah. I won't do it again. Even if I fail, I'll accept my fate...!" Deuce says humbly,"You should say you're going to work so you don't fail again." Jack pinches the bridge of his nose.

He then looks down at y/n,"So, what do you wanna do, y/n? Do you wanna go along with their whims?" he asks,"Yeah. This might be our only chance to talk to Azul about this whole thing." y/n nods as she stares back at him.

"This is the first time I've really thought of you as a prefect!" Grim beams and y/n sweatdrops at him,"Wait, what?" she mutters,"... Tch, can't be helped." Jack clicks his tongue as he looks the other way,"You'd be in danger by yourself. I'll go with you." he announces and y/n looks at him with gratitude,"Thanks Jack." she says softly, which made Jack turn pink.

"Whoo~ Jack, you're so nice~" Ace teases,"Don't get the wrong idea! I just don't like what Azul's doing." Jack defends himself,"I'm pissed about losing to a bunch of guys who used someone else's power to get good grades." he explains with a glare.

Suddenly the anemones on the trio's heads starts pulling them,"The anemones are pulling us again...!" Deuce yelps in pain as their pulled to their feet,"Owowowow! Does he plan to make us work through lunch!?" Ace winces with tears in his eyes,"We're counting on you, y/n!" Grim shouts as they're dragged out of the cafeteria.

"AAAAHHHH!!!" their screams are heard as they're dragged away,"And away they go." y/n mutters,"Wow... Those guys never change." Jack rolls his eyes,"Anyway, are we going to Mostro Lounge tonight?" he asks and y/n nods,"It's a date then. Let's meet at the Hall of Mirrors." she says before leaving.

Jack blushes again at her wording as his tail wags again,"Stop it! She didn't mean it like that!" he hisses at it as he holds down his tail before also leaving the cafeteria.

After school, the two met up at their agreed location and enter Octavinelle, heading straight for the lounge that's bustling with life,"Whoa. This place is hoppin'. It has a real classy feel to it." y/n says with awe as she studies the busy environment,"Now we're really deep in enemy territory. Don't let your guard down." Jack tells her before they're approached by one of the twins.

"Ah, Little Shrimp! Welcome~" Floyd greets as he hugs the girl before looking at Jack,"Urchin came, too." he teases as he backs away,"I told you, I'm not a sea urchin!" Jack glares at him angrily.

"Oh my..." Jade soon approaches them,"What's this now? Thank you for coming so soon. Welcome to Mostro Lounge. This is your first time visiting us, correct?" he greets professionally,"I thought about it this afternoon, but... Do you enjoy asking questions you already know the answer to?" Jack asks with annoyance.

"Fufu, it's just to be sure." Jade chuckles calmly,"Well then, this may be presumption of me, but please allow me to explain a few pointers for this establishment." he offers before placing a hand against the small of y/n's back and leading her further into the lounge.

"Mostro Lounge is a place for social meetings for gentlemen. Disputes between dormitories are strictly forbidden. Here you shall follow the rules of Octavinelle, no matter which dorm you came from." he tells her as they stop in the middle of the lounge.

"Please follow our rules and enjoy your time in the lounge. Then... dear guests, what is your business today?" he asks and y/n looks him straight in the eyes,"I'd like to discuss the anemone business with your boss, please." she says without falter.

"Fufufu... As you wish." Jade says huskily,"Currently, our boss is attending to another customer. Can I ask you to wait for a short while? Oh, that's right." he leads the two to a vacant seat,"We require you to order at least one drink. So please make sure to do that." he then claps his hands,"Mr. Anemone. Please take their order." he calls out.

"Sorry, but I've got to deliver these drinks first." Deuce gestures to the tray in his hand,"We're busy so how about you take their orders at least! Seeing you laze about while we work our asses off pisses me off." Ace growls in anger.

"You're pretty sassy for a bunch of anemones." Jade frowns before yanking on both of their anemones,"Owowowow!!" Ace screams,"Stop pulling on the anemone!" Deuce pleads as he holds the tray steady in his hands,"Azul has told me to give instructions to you new hires. So I have to properly discipline any back talk." Jade smiles ominously,"Ouch owowow! I got it, I got it okay!" Deuce screams in pain.

"That's enough! Let them go!" y/n gets up and pushes Jade away from her friends without thinking of the consequences,"Oh my..." Jade is mildly surprised that the girl pushed him away,"This is troubling, dear customer. I believe I just told you that while in the lounge you have to follow our rules." he says sternly, yet his tone held amusement.

"Anybody who doesn't listen to what we say is free game for squeezing~" Floyd cooes as he sneaked up behind y/n and gave her waist a little squeeze, causing the girl to squeal since she's ticklish there,"Tch..." Jack clicks his tongue and snatches y/n away from Floyd.

"We're saying that seeing you pick on the newbies leaves a bad taste in our mouths." he spat,"Then are you going to help us out in their place?" Floyd raises a brow, hand on his waist as he gives them a smirk.

"Oh, that's a good idea. Let's do that! Jack and y/n should help us as temps!" Ace says with eagerness,"Hey, you don't go deciding things on your own!" Jack scowls at him,"I don't mind who does it as long as they take the work seriously..." Jade says, not caring who does what.

"It'd be bad if you got thrown out, right?" Deuce whispers to them,"This is crazy hard. Grim is covered in soap bubbles and is being used to wash stuff in the back. Please." Ace whisper pleads as well.

Jack and y/n stay quiet for a moment,"Tch... Fine. I want to get this over with fast so I can go home and sleep." Jack says,"Sleep? It's still only 9. What time do you usually go to bed?" Ace asks,"I'm always in bed by 10." Jack answers bluntly,"You're just some good boy!" Ace blinks rapidly,"A true example of a proper student." y/n adds with pride.

"So this means Urchin and Little Shrimp are helping in the lounge, right? Then first, take this drink to table three." Floyd hands Jack a tray of drinks and Jade places a hand on y/n's back,"Miss Prefect, if you could follow me for just a moment."

He swiftly leads her to a restroom and checks to see if it's vacant,"Do you need something?" y/n asks and Jade offers her a smile,"We want you to wear our Dorm's uniform. It's something we wanted to test out for a while." he tells her and y/n blinks at this,"Wait, wha-?" she cuts off by being shoved into the restroom followed by a uniform being tossed in after her.

"And please do be quick, it's quite busy out there." Jade tells her before closing the door. Y/n sighs before looking at the uniform in her hands. She reluctantly dresses up and looks at herself in the mirror,"How the heck did they get my measurements? Again?" she breathes out before leaving the restroom, pulling at the glove a bit,"Let's get down to business then." she says before taking off to help Jack.

"You mustn't make the customers wait too long. Jack, please be extra courteous when serving customers." Jade tells the two,"Pfft. Jack does have a scary face." Ace snorts,"Huh? It's normal?" Jack gives him a look,"No slacking for the four of you. I'm watching~" Floyd cooes as y/n gives a table their orders.

"It's so much easier with Jack helping. I thought he'd be bumbling about but he's got this." Ace smiles and y/n sends him a pointed glare,"What about me, huh?" she says lowly,"Yes! You too y/n!" Ace squeaks in fright.

"It's no problem once you understand the flow. This is only natural." Jack says humbly as he hands a table their orders,"I've got y/n's directions, too." he sends the girl a smile,"Fufu. Please keep going at this pace." Jade chuckles.

"We delivered all the backlogged orders." Jack announces,"Yay~" y/n says softly,"Though it was pretty rough..." Deuce sighs,"Eeh~ You're pretty good. Little Shrimp, can ya'll keep going?" Floyd asks as he pats y/n's back.

"Then please take care of washing dishes and serving food. After that can I ask you to make the drinks?" Jade requests,"D-don't get cocky!" Jack glares at him,"Yeah, not happening." y/n says bluntly.

Half an hour later, they finally finished,"The rush is finally calming down." Jack huffs in mild exhaustion,"Hmm hmm, you handled that pretty well. Thanks for all your help you two." Floyd praises.

That's when they hear hands clapping and they turn to see Azul approaching them with a pleased smile,"You are wonderful help for being able to handle that big of a rush." he praises,"Azul!" Jack glares at him.

"I'm terribly sorry for the wait. The VIP room is ready for you, so please come this way." Azul hooks y/n's arm around his own like a gentleman,"Jade, Floyd. Please get ready for our guests." he requests,"As you wish." the twins say with smirks as Azul, y/n and Jack made their way to the back of the lounge.
