hello everyone!! i am adding this note because lots of newer readers have been confused with the character cal. i want to clarify that he is NOT cal kestis — if he were, i would have included his full name, and i would have kept his casting as cameron monaghan. my character cal is an original character like clary & dana, and there is a reason why his last name has ambiguity as its central to the overall plot later on.
im so sorry for any confusion and lack of clarification up until now, but i didnt expect anyone to get confused as i first wrote this fic in the year 2015, which is wayyyy before cal kestis was introduced as a character in the video game jedi: fallen order in the year 2019 — so at the time of my writing and planning, cal kestis didnt exist & i didnt think there would be any confusion with the namesake because of that so i didnt think it was necessary to clarify anything. i apologize again for the confusion!!

Skyspurned
The sky cities are the last and greatest refuge of mankind, enormous floating slabs of rock and soil magically suspended thousands of feet above the Surface where Aether leaches into the atmosphere through great Rifts in the Earth's broken core, inflicting many with the curse of Aether sickness and giving power untold to the chosen few. For the Apt elites, who have discovered their Aptitude in manipulating the Aether around them, the world is a beautiful place, the open skies their only limit, and the abandoned Surface beneath their feet a trove of spoils awaiting new owners. Sengoku Demon Chronicles
Sengoku-era Japan was already batshit crazy. Now it’s got demons. ~~~ Japan 1541-2. Miho, a young village guy [with a female name], is on the trail of his mysterious lost love when he unwittingly saves the life of Akira, a cynical ashigaru [low-level samurai]. By doing so, he incurs the wrath of a box demon who is way too petty to just let it go. After that, it’s mostly downhill. ~~~ Includes: purple mist demons, portals, Yuki Onna, other demons, warlords, ashigaru, a try-hard mage, an eight-tailed fox and an endless litany of pathological liars. Historically, it’s about as accurate as most Hollywood productions. Hopefully, a little better. ~~~ Note: due to having fewer followers than a no-touch, no-look sex cult, I'm taking a break from this for August/September. Will be back in October to finish off Volume 1 and start off Volume 2.
