《LET ME IN (ENHYPEN FF)》35~ hoonie

I walked through the hallway, peeking inside all the practice rooms in search for Soojin.
It's been well over her scheduled time with Jake.
Did something happen?
Beginning to feel uneasy, I increased my speed through the halls and soon came across one with the door still open.
Without hesitating, I quickly ran into the room and met with a saddened sight.
"Jake?"
The boy was sprawled out onto the floor next to the couch and was visibly in distress.
"Hyung!" he cried locking his eyes with mine.
Instantly, I ran to the boy and embraced him in a hug.
"Shhhh it's okay."
Despite all the beef we've had the last few months, I can't deny the fact that I love the boy. No matter what happens, I'm still his hyung and I need to protect him.
"She remembers everything." he spoke, sobbing into my chest.
"S-she what?"
In disbelief of his words, my mind went running at different thoughts.
She remembers?
That means...
"She remembers me hyung. She remembers me."
The boy looked up at me with a slight smile on his face, however it quickly died when he spoke again.
"But she remembers the night. Everything I said, how much I hurt her-"
The boy cried even harder, unable to finish his sentence.
"Shh it's okay..."
I pulled him into my chest again and gently soothed his back. As I processed his words,
I began to stir up mixed feelings.
I guess it's all over now.
No more Soojin as my girlfriend.
A part of me was happy I didn't have to live a lie anymore, but the other was devastated that Soojin wouldn't be mine.
"Hyung, she won't forgive me will she?" the sobbing boy spoke in defeat.
I took a deep breath before wiping the boy's tears with my hand.
"If you really love her, you'll find a way to win her heart again," I spoke honestly.
"And if she really loves you, she'll be willing to try."

Some of the members and I were chilling in the cafe as we waited for the others.
"Where the hell is Jake, Heesung and Soojin?" asked Jay as he eyed the hallway.
"They probably went overtime with their practice." I spoke, knowing well that was not the case.
Heesung, Jake, you better not hurt her.
Feeling an inevitable feeling of concern rise up within me, I felt a hand on my shoulder.
"They'll be fine. They're not stupid." spoke Jungwon as he gripped my shoulder.

"I'm not too sure about that. You know what love does to people." I replied sighing.
The younger boy nodded, removing his hand from my shoulder.
"I guess all we can do is hope Soojin makes the right decision from here on. Things are gonna get rough." he spoke opening a packet of chips.
I hummed in response as I reached into his chip bag and fed myself some chips.
Fighting Soojin-ah.
•••
A few hours had passed since we saw the love triangle gang, so i decided to go visit the female trainee dorm opposite the company.
I crossed the road and approached the large house-like complex.
I knocked on the door a couple times before the door swung open.
"Oh Sunghoon sunbae! What brings you here?" spoke an unfamiliar girl.
"Oh uhm I'm looking for Park Soojin."
The girl puffed her shoulders and muttered an inaudible groan before gesturing for me to come in.
"Follow me. I think she's in her room." she spoke with an hint of annoyance.
I furrowed my eyebrows at the girl's attitude.
What's the deal with girls always being jealous of each other?
I swear if Soojin's been getting bullied...
My thoughts were cut off when the girl halted at a door near the end of the hallway.
"This is her room. I promised ours aren't as messy." she spoke rudely.
"Sure."
The girl looked at me shocked before scoffing and storming off.
Jesus Christ.
Some of these trainees give me a headache.
Brushing off my annoyed state, I composed myself before knocking on the door.
There was silence for a few minutes before I decided to enter myself.
"Soojin-ah? You in here?" I called out into the room.
The room was minimally furnished with her luggage still unpacked on the floor. The only significant items were her bed, her guitar and a teddy bear.
Cute.
Forgetting my surroundings, I jumped at the sudden sound of my name.
"Sunghoon?"
My fight and flight instincts were triggered as I threw myself into the air, falling onto the floor.
I looked up to the bed and met the tired eyes of a very confused Soojin.
"What are you doing here?" she asked sitting up from her supposed sleeping position.
Embarassed, I quickly got up on my feet and brushed myself off.
"U-uh I wanted to talk to you." I stated quickly, flustered by the sight of the girl in only a singlet and shorts.
Breath Sunghoon, breath.
The girl chuckled as she got up from her bed and walked over to the closet.

"Well it must've been pretty urgent since you came all the way and disturbed my nap."
I watched as the girl searched scavanged her clothes, in search for a particular item.
"Aish, where did I put my hoodie?" she muttered agressively pulling each piece of clothing from it's hangers.
Looking down at my clothes, an idea popped into my head that led me to pulling off my outerwear.
"Here, wear mine."
The girl whipped her head around to face me and let go of the clothes in her hand.
"Really? You don't have to, it's really fine." she spoke politely.
I sighed before walking up to the girl and placing my black hoodie into her hand.
"Please, I can't keep looking at your bare shoulders." I admitted honestly.
The girl's eyes widened before nodding and quickly pulling the hoodie over her head and through her arms.
I blushed as I watched my piece of clothing fall all the way to her knees, enulfing her like a cloud.
"Cute."
The girl jumped at my sudden remark before switching to an irritated glare.
"Don't be gross."
I laughed at her brutal response and followed her as she sat back down on her bed.
"Okay so what's up Ice Prince." she asked as she gestured for me to take a seat on her bed.
I happily complied, sitting my ass comfortably onto the bouncy mattress.
"I know something happened with the two dickheads. Care to share?"
The girl hesitantly sighed before placing her hands together.
"I remember now."
I felt my body physically jump as I heard her words.
"Wait what!?" I spluttered in disbelief.
The girl smiled as she restated her thoughts.
"Yep. I remember everything."
Completely astounded, I couldn't hold in my excitement so I instantly hugged the girl.
"Soojin! I'm so happy for you!" I cheered soothing her head up and down.
"Thanks man."
I continued to enjoy the feeling of her in my arms when all of a sudden a thought hit me.
"Wait that means-"
I quickly released her from my hold and held her face. To my pure saddness, I met her watery eyes and red nose.
"Oh Soojin..."
I pulled the poor girl back onto my shoulder as I felt her choke on her tears.
"I don't know what to do." she cried, sobbing her wet tears onto my shirt.
I cooed soft 'it's okay's' into her ear as she released her built up thoughts.
"Hoonie, it hurts. Right here. It's a lot." she cried pointing towards her chest.
My gaze softened at the sight of the young girl in so much pain.
"Shhh it's okay, I'm here." I whispered quietly.
The girl continued to sob in my arms as I felt my heart break at her every cry. Soon enough, she calmed down and recomposed herself.
"Sorry, I don't know what got a hold of me." she laughed wiping the wet patch on my shirt.
"Don't worry, Soojin-ah. It's totally understandable." I reassured, wiping the last of her falling tears.
"I don't know how I'm gonna do this. My debut is in less than a month and I'm an emotional wreck." she spoke, stablising her breaths.
"I just wanna sleep. Sleep for a very long time."
Her words pierced a hole in a chest as I felt myself relate fully to her.
"There's been so many times where I've felt like sleeping for a long time as well." I spoke,
"There was a time once when I really didn't wanna compete at one of my figure skating comps so I tried to sleep in."
Soojin giggled at my words.
"Didn't work though, cause I realised that even if I slept through the competition, I'd have to still do another one when I woke up."
The girl nodded and hummed as she listened to me speak.
"After then I realised that no matter how sucky things get in life, you can't run from it. Because in reality, you're just extending the time you spend loathing it."
I watched as the girl fell deep into thought, staring blankly at the ground.
"I'm not in the position to tell you what to do, but just know that things will be a lot easier if you combat it quickly and head on."
As I finished my little spiel, I reached to grab Soojin's hands and place them in mine.
"Despite everything that happened, you should know that Jake AND Heesung both love you a lot." I spoke emphasising each word.
"No matter how you handle this, they will still love you no matter what. So don't stress."
I gave her one last smile before releasing her hands from my hold and getting up from her bed.
"I really can't thank you enough, Hoon." she spoke genuinely.
"If anything else happens, don't hesitate to call me, alright?"
She nodded brightly before sending me off towards the door.
As I closed the door behind me, I whispered one last thing.
"I love you Soojin..."

Omnipocalypse Monsters(Shelved Timeline)
System Edit: This timeline has been shelved, but the adventures of the Omegas and her kids will continue in the next System Update Timeline with additional foes and challenges early on to guide the Omegas into a less destructive path of protection. The Omnipocalypse was every apocalypse humans ever imagined all happening at once, zombies, plagues, nukes, EMPs, Robot uprisings. Not just the earth either, It happened to every World ever dreamed up by men too: heaven, hell, and every other afterlife or spirit world ended, plus the worlds of books and stories bled into reality. It all broke apart and either; became new places on the chaotic Earth or part of the even messier spirit world. Magic beasts mutated by radiation, Robots mastering Magic, the mixture of everything made the horrors... well, more horrible. Omega; A young Woman with few memories wakes to find she has spent 2500 years in stasis, in a basement of scientific horrors. Creatures and Things that could supposedly destroy the world if ever let free. Horrors of which she was the last to get free. Rather then Quest for world domination or destruction; Omega keeps getting drawn into a protective role over other orphans, lost monsters, and broken AIs. So she decides to build something to help all her little monster family be safe. -------This story is meant to be a behind the scenes look at stories about kids solving problems that should be beyond them. I always wanted to see a story about Professor Oak, Dumbledore, or any other mentor who trains the main characters. I like the idea of someone looking at the apocalyptic world and deciding to make it safe enough that a small child can wander off and make some monster their pet. The pokemon games have fun systems to consider the behind the scenes workings of, like what training a team rocket member goes through to become a villain cut out for children to defeat. how they prevent a deific pokemon from accidentally murdering some little rat with its immense psionic power. However, the story itself is not really meant to be a pokemon parody, I draw inspiration from every genre of fiction, any type of game, this story is the only one I plan of ever writing without a clear cut ending planned, I love the infinite storytelling capacity of things like Doctor who's TARDIS, the Stargate or Rick's portal gun. In this case, I wanted the setting itself to be one where any and every story might happen. Cover Image by kalli gruen from Pixabay Discord Image by Digital Photo and Design DigiPD.com from Pixabay
