《LET ME IN (ENHYPEN FF)》34~ flashbacks

I successfully finished my sessions with Jungwon and Jay, as well as Sunghoon.
Now it was time for my vocal session with Jake.
"Hey, you ready?"
I looked up at the voice and met the eyes of the kind boy.
I nodded politely as I followed him into one of the vocal practice rooms.
He took a seat at the keyboard and pulled out a notebook and pen.
"What will you be singing for me today?" he asked kindly looking directly into my eyes.
For some reason, I felt my palms immediately sweat and my muscles tense.
What the heck? You were fine with all the others, why are you so nervous now?
Observing my discomfort, the boy dropped his pen and took a breath in and out.
"Relax Soojin, this is just a casual practice alright? Just imagine I'm not here." he spoke switching to English with his thick aussie accent.
I giggled at the sudden language switch as I felt my mind and body settle down. The sound of his accent gave me a sense of comfort as all of a sudden I felt my mind drift off.
I lifted my head as my ears picked up the once soft Korean voice transform into a fully bogan Aussie tone.
The boy smiled gently lingering his fingers in mine.
I'm Jake."
End of flashback
My head painfully throbbed as I held it tightly, groaning in pain.
"Soojin!" yelled Jake, quickly jumping out to help me.
Was that another memory?
Of Jake?
Still in pain, I agressively tried to soothe my temples. But despite my eagerness to fight the pain, I found myself falling limp into Jake's arms.
End of flashback
Finally reaching the end of the invading scenes attacking my head, I gasped for air, throwing myself off the boy.

"Soojin! Oh my God, are you okay?"
I looked into the eyes of the now recognizable boy and felt my heart tear into pieces.
I remember now.
The boy, flustered by my lack of response, resided to picking me and placing me on the couch.
Every touch of his hands on my skin sent sparks of electricity through my body.
"I remember."
The boy paused in his tracks as he froze and turned to face me.
"I'm sorry, what?" he asked visibly concerned.
"I remember. I remember everything."
"You know if I did this to any other girl, they would be head over heels for me by now."
I scoffed back.
"Do what? Invade their privacy?"
Jake was taken aback as if he was expecting any other response but mine.
With my speedy reflexes I managed to grab the edge of his grey joggers in an attempt to pull him back down.
Almost immediately, I jumped up from my spot and hid my head against the cold mirror.
Did I just unintentionally strip a male idol?
I stared at the brightly luminated ceiling beforing unleashing the most unattractive cackle my mouth has ever produced.
End of flashback
Once again, my mind was pulled back into reality and I was face to face with the boy from my thoughts.
"You."
I stared at the confused boy, pointing my finger at his face.
"Me?" he asked taken aback.
"You. You're pink bears. You're puppy boy."
With each word I spoke the boy's eyes widened into moons.
"I-I w-wait-"
"It was never Heesung. It was you."
Finally wording out the thoughts in my head, it was as if the puzzle was pieced back together.
"S-soojin you have no idea how long-" Jake stuttered, beginning to tear up.

"I swear it wasn't my intention to lead you guys on."
My words cut off the boy as I felt myself slip back into the moment I last experienced before my accident.
"And the boy I was talking to on the phone was never my boyfriend."
I observed as the boy's head began ticking as he tried to take his mind back to six months ago.
"B-but you kissed him through the phon-"
"He's gay, Jake."
The boy's mouth fell open as I could feel him mentally slap himself.
"S-soojin I'm sorry-"
The boy suddenly collapsed next to the couch and quickly reached to grab my hand. I looked down at him, tearing up.
"You called me a bitch."
My chest clenched as I watched the boy fall deeper into his crying. His breathing was unstable as he tried to word out his apologises.
"You hoped I wouldn't debut."
"N-no Soojin- I-Iove you please I didn't mean-"
His grip on my hands began tighter as I felt the desperation in his words increase.
"You said the Soojin you fell in love with never existed."
The boy paused for a second before looking up at me. His eyes were red and swollen, and his hair was glued to his forehead with tears.
"Soojin please no-"
Trying my hardest to suppress every urge I had to hug the boy, I pushed myself to rip myself out of his grasp and get up.
"I'm sorry," I spoke, avoiding his gaze as I walked to the door.
"For not remembering sooner."

Long War [Oldest]
It was a war. It was silent, so silent that few people ever noticed that it was happening, and long. So long that those who knew forgot why it ever started. Humanity had fought against itself... and lost. Prosperity, democracy and human rights were a thing of the past now, as the world fell into Sovereigns's hands - a handful of transnational corporations (and their CEOs) that monopolized the world economy. A science fiction game, where players could explore the Galaxy... full of advanced technologies, bloodthirsty aliens and even magic. Was it a simple computer game, or... something else?

I am terrible at spelling and I'm not doing this for profit but as a way to relax so no paid editors. I will warn you that if this book gets impossible for me to write I might just end it, but I will write an end even if it's ended abruptly I hope it won't get that bad though. well hopefully that won't happen, by the way, the ending will be the same it's just the difference of whether or not there are loose ends. this is mainly an adventure/fantasy, the romance will likely be cringe-worthy with just how slow it will be, either I won't know how to advance or won't want to due to the circumstances I make, on purpose or accidentally. if you have suggestions for story progression feel free to help, I will, of course, give you props if I use them. Have Fun ----------- on hiatus for very personal reasons and will get back when i can. ----------- so, im rewriting the story. after i rewrite the existing chapters i will replace the existing ones. to those who have enjoyed the story so far thank you for giving me your time and i hope you find the new version even better. it will take time to rewrite the existing chapters but i hope to see you again soon. the story will change quite a bit so im sorry to those who wanted to see what happened next in the original. i hope to see you soon!
