《LET ME IN (ENHYPEN FF)》13~ black lace

The stars twinkled in the black sky as the night soon progressed into midnight.
Jake, Sunghoon and I talked the entire night, chatting about different things.
Mainly making fun of Jake.
"And then when we got back to our dorm, we found Jake by himself scoffing his face with ice-cream while watching Peppa Pig!"
I exploded into laughter as my stomach began to ache and my cheeks became sore.
"Sunghoon. I think that's enough exposing stories about me." whined Jake as he held his head in embarrassment.
Sunghoon giggled at the irritated boy as he scuffed his hair with force.
Jake glared at the younger boy and sat in annoyance with his hair fluffed up in all directions.
Haha cute.
Wait...what?
Since when have you ever found a boy cute Soojin?
Geez I must be really tired.
"Alright guys I'm gonna head to my room now, I'm absolutely knackered." I spoke as I stood up and stretched my arms in the air.
"I'LL WALK YOU TO YOUR ROOM!" blurted Jake as he stood up next to me.
Sunghoon scoffed in disbelief.
"Dude. Her room is literally less than 10 metres away."
I giggled as I nodded in agreement.
Jake bite his lip in discomfort.
"Yeah and what if she falls on the way there?"
Sunghoon and I raised our brows at the boy talking nonsense as I decided to just let him accompany me.
"Good night Sunghoon." I waved sleepily at the boy.
"Good night Soojin. Don't let Jake do anything weird to you!" he teased as Jake scowled at him.
I soon left the chatter and party of the barbeque and made my way to my room, Jake closely following behind me.
As I arrived at my room, I placed my hand on the doorknob and looked back at the boy standing awkwardly.
"What? You wanna come in?" I laughed watching the boy stand in such discomfort.
To my shock, the boy nodded his head respondingly.
My eyes widened.
Uhm does he not understand what a joke is?

I don't actually want him to come into my room.
Wait...do I?
I mean it can't hurt to let him stay for a bit.
Overcome by my fatigue I shrugged and opened the door, letting him in.
I flicked on the lights and revealed the white and green modernised bedroom.
Jake looked around appealingly as he soon made his way to what so happened to be my bed.
"Oi that's my bed." I warned in English.
The boy lifted his head and smiled at me lovingly.
"I kinda really like it when you speak English." he giggled like a little child.
"What makes you say that?"
"It makes me feel special because you don't do it with anyone else."
My eyes softened at his sweet words as he threw his head back onto my pillow.
He sighed comfortably as he patted the space next to him.
Feeling exhausted, I complied obediently and fell onto the cushioned bed tiredly.
"So how are you finding the show so far?" he asked as he kicked his shoes off and placed his feet onto the bed.
"I think it's pretty chill. I'm more excited about hanging out with the girls then making my debut to be honest." I sighed copying his movements and placing my feet onto the cold sheets.
"Wow. I've never heard that before from an applicant on the show. It sounds like you never really wanted to be here in the first place."
"I mean, you're not 100% wrong. I was convinced to audition by Cho Hyunsik then somehow made it this far."
I heard him gasp as he cupped his mouth.
"No way. Hyunsik scouted you? You have no idea how insane that is." he spoke in utter shock.
"Cho Hyunsik is known to be one of the scariest producers in the industry. He rarely takes a liking to anyone, unless the person is an absolute ace or something."
Jake held his hand up in the air before clicking his fingers.
"Ah wait that's right. You're the ace of the show."

I frowned at his comment as once again the negative feelings began to build up within me.
"Yeah but it's not exactly something that has me over the moon." I stated honestly.
I felt Jake tilt his head as he spoke again.
"What do you mean? Being the ace is everything an applicant on this show could want."
"True but after a while the pressure and expectations get to my head and I end up with a lot of anxiety and stress. It also pains me to watch the other girls grow hatred towards me because of it." I sighed, unleashing all my feelings out of my system.
"Pft. Ace my ass. Pretty much any other girl in the show deserves the title more than me."
I soon felt the bed shift as Jake adjusted his position to face me.
"Don't think like that Soojin. There's a reason the title is yours."
I scoffed turning my body to face him.
"Yeah and what's that?"
The smiley boy stared intently into my eyes as he moved an inch closer to my face.
"You're good at singing, dancing, rapping," he whispered moving closer to me with each word.
"And looking pretty."
My chest froze like stone as I felt my mouth dry up into a desert.
I gazed into his dark, chocolatey orbs as they glistened against the light.
"W-w-what are you talking about?" I stuttered laughing nervously.
Jake smiled at my reaction as he moved even closer to my face.
He was practically two inches away from my nose as I gulped harshly.
Sweet baby Jesus.
Is this boy going to kiss me?
Why aren't I moving away?
Overwhelmed by our close proximity, I quickly swung my hand from behind my back and covered my mouth.
However, to my absolute terror, whilst swinging my arm around, I managed to fling my black laced bra straight into Jake's face.
Ho
lee
fuck
You've got to be kidding me.
Frozen in pure ordeal and embarrassment, Jake's face was completely blanketed by my undergarment, hiding his presumably traumatised expression.
Feeling myself being pulled back to reality, I snatched the bra off his face and hid it under my bottom.
My action revealed a motionless Jake looking as if he was staring into another dimension.
"OH MY GOD. I AM SO SORRY JAKE. I DIDN'T MEAN FOR YOU TO SEE THAT." I practically yelled as I scattered to my feet and closed my eyes in humiliation.
As seconds ticked by, my mind was aching from the tension and silence. Soon enough, I heard the boy finally speak.
"So I guess now we're even."
I blinked open my eyes as I looked at him in confusion.
"We're eve- what do you mean?" I asked quietly as my pride had still been shattered into pieces.
The boy pointed his finger at his bottom half then at my hands behind my back.
"Pink bears. Black lace."
I gawked at the boy in shock as my mind was taken back to the incident in the practice room.
The image of his child-like boxers loosened my muscles as I scoffed, grinning lightly.
"I guess you're right. Mr...Pink bears."
His eyes widened in disbelief as I smirked at my own remark.
The boy narrowed his eyes at me before retaliating back.
"I'd say I was, Miss..." the boy dragged his words on, letting his eyes roam to where my hands were holding my bra.
I grinned in victory.
"Oi, Park Soojin you know I can't- AGH!"
The displeased boy threw his head back adorably and groaned in defeat.
"Nice try puppy boy. Now get out." I smiled bitterly.
Jake huffed in vanquish as he made his way to the door.
As he entered the hall, he turned back to face me and spoke.
"Don't think I'll forget about what happened." he grinned in a cunning manner.
"Miss black lace." he whispered quietly just loud enough for me to hear.
"OI SHIM JAEYOON!"
I watched as the giggling boy dashed out of sight, leaving me in complete shock and shame.

Home of Laplace
I opened my eyes to an unfamiliar mountain peak standing tall above me like seeing a skyscraper from the street. Soon the chilling burn of the snow that covered me began to invade my senses and I flung my torso upward, sitting up straight. I grabbed my head in confusion as my eyes surveyed the area around me: The corner of a mountain wall stood menacingly in front of me accompanied by thin, dangerous looking paths on either side. The likes of which only adrenaline-seeking psychopaths would use. I turned my head backwards and felt my heart drop as what looked like an infinitely long freefall met my gaze. I was sitting on the ledge of a snow-covered mountain. "CRKKKK" A heart-shaking croaking sounded from above me further up the mountain and I jolted backwards at the impossibly loud sound. 'Shit, wasn't there nothing behind me?' The sound of cracking stone accompanied the heart dropping sensation of descension. As I plunged down backwards, the last thing I saw was the deep-set brown eyes of that blue-skinned monstrosity further up the mountain. ----------------------------------------------------- Levi Laplace is a former genius biochemistry student that died a simple and laughable death on earth.
