i stood there nervously as i scratched the back of my neck slightly.
"do you want to go the formal dance with me?" i blankly asked.
"yah! you can't just ask in a monotone voice like that? you must do it in a seductive kind of feeling," namjoon said.
i looked at him weirdly.
"namjoonie's right. you sound too bland as if you don't mean it," taehyung added.
i sighed, slightly annoyed. "then how do i ask without sounding so bland??"
"i told you. do it in a sexy and lively manner. i'll show you. yah, hoseok! pretend you're soojin," namjoon said.
i let him take the floor as i sat in a chair and watched them.
before namjoon spoke, he changed his pitched into a "sexy" type of style.
"soojinnie... go to the dance with me," namjoon purred. i scrunched my face furrowing my eyebrows as i slightly gagged.
"omo, oppar! i'd love to go with you to the formal dance," hoseok cheered in a girly voice as he jumped onto namjoon wrapping his arms around his neck.
"yah, yah! you both are so ugly," i said pinching my nose bridge as i shook my head.
"no, that's not how you ask her," taehyung said shaking his head in disapproval.
"then how would you ask her?" namjoon argued.
"like this."
taehyun stood in front of me staring me directly.
"soojin-ah.. do you maybe want to go to the formal dance with me?" taehyung asked in a low voice, adding a wink at the end.
"yuck, i'm going to barf," hoseok said rubbing at his throat.
i sighed softly, "this is hopeless."
"yah, just ask her. the worst she can do is say no," namjoon said.

i groaned as i sat back in my chair. "i guess, i'll just go for it, right?" i mumbled.
"yes. just go for it. you'll do great hyung," taehyung sat patting my back.
i turned to the front of the class as swiftly ran my fingers through my hair.
"alright."
i spent an hour in the restroom and i haven't left ever since the incident. the bell suddenly rang for dismissal, so i waited until the sound of feet outside the door had stopped.
when all was clear, i slowly unlocked the stall door and walked towards the mirror. the redness and puffiness slightly went away in my eyes. i sniffled softly and quickly washed my face before leaving the girls restroom.
i walked back to my homeroom class only to see it empty. my things were still scattered on the floor. so i walked over and bent down to pick up the pieces of paper and journals laying around.
just then, i heard someone come in as i looked up and saw yoongi. when he saw me, he rushed over to me and saw me picking up my things.
"yah, what happened?" he asked.
i avoided eye contact and continued picking up my belongings. "uh, i just triped and fell. so i'm picking my stuff up," i softly said. he bent down as well and started to grab all the pens and pencils he could find, especially my wallet.
he handed them to me as we both stood up to our feet. my eyes met his eyes and he gave me a small smile.
"thanks," i softly managed to say to him. i grabbed my backpack and tried neatly organizing my things into it. i didn't say another word to him. when i finished, i zipped up my backpack.

"i was thinking, i could walk you home... maybe. that's only if you want me to," he fumbled with his words slightly.
i couldn't help but give a smile and nodded my head. "i don't mind."
he smiled and also gave a small nod. and so we left the campus and then walked all the way to my house. i didn't dare tell him what had happened earlier, so i kept my mouth shut.
just up ahead a few blocks, we approached my house and before i knew it, we were standing slightly close to the front door. i turned around to meet his face. he had both straps on his shoulders this time instead of it hanging on one shoulder.
"thanks for walking me," i softly said to him.
"uh, yeah, you're welcome."
we both awkwardly stood there until he suddenly cleared his throat.
"soojin?" he began to say.
"mm?"
"uh, so there's the formal dance next week..."
"oh... yeah," i softly said remembering the event.
"do you maybe want to go with me... to the dance?"
"you mean, like, be your partner?" i asked softly, my cheeks slightly turning pink.
"yeah. i don't know if it's a lot to ask for. it's just taehyung kept telling me you were going alone," he began to say.
aish, taehyung.
"oh," i chuckled nervously, "y-yeah."
"so... do you want to go with me?" he asked once more.
my heart began to beat faster. is this finally it?
pursing my lips slightly, i licked them before i spoke.
"yeah. i'll go with you."

8 833The world traveler from the future
The world, under the guide of the System, was prospering. The Dungeons gifted untold riches to those brave enough to challenge them, and the System watched and helped those who were willing to complete its Quests. But not Charles. As soon as he appeared inside a dark cave, the system told him that he was an anomaly, that he was not worthy of its gifts. His mind was damaged. His AI companion was convinced that he was in a world of sword and magic. All around, schemers and manipulators tried to play their part in a story that was thousands of years old. Spanning entire planes and worlds. And yet, he only saw what he wanted to see. For a while, it worked. Slowly, but inevitably, it became impossible. The threat was too big to ignore, the evidence too strong. He was just a pawn in a game so large that it was impossible to comprehend. At its center, the System. The System was not what it seemed. It was a tyrant, or maybe just a tool created by someone or something so powerful that it could control entire worlds. And it had declared him its enemy. This is a story about six summoned humans from modern earth to a world of magic, monsters, and gods'. There are five large cities in four kingdoms. There's the Fire kingdom to the south. Then there's the Air kingdom full of trees the size of mountains to the east known for their magnificent carpenter's, archer's, wind mages, and mostly elves living there watched over by the air goddess Zephra. After that there's the Water kingdom against the ocaen to the west known for their massterwork alchemy, massive navy, and water and ice mages mostly populated with humans cared for by the water goddess Aquatis. Finally the earth kingdom in the massive mountains to the north known for their expert blacksmithing, earth mages, and being mainly filled with dwarves protected by the earth god Teran. There are temples of healing throughout all the four kingdoms that worships the goddess of light and life Rayanna. There is also a sixth goddess who isn't mentioned any longer due to the zealots killing innocents in her name in the name of Nyx goddess of death and darkness. There is one massive city built on the corner of all four kingdoms where many people live and the kingdoms' kings' and queens' come to meet and conduct political business as well as meet and realx as friends. It also serves on major purpose. It is used to summon heroes from another world. The kings' and queens' have been notified by the head preists of their respective gods that it's time to summon heroes to help quell the rising army of zealots. Hi there ladies and gentlemen. This is my first time writing and uploading a story on Royal Road. I'm looking for constructive criticism and helpful input. I'm looking forward to a long and amazing journey from here on out.

Fermboi was a man of one ideal: make the weak strong. When his rebellion against the king proved futile, he was given another chance at life. This time, he sought to do nothing after realizing the hopelessness of it all. Aventina wanted to do nothing more than to follow her father’s footsteps. On a retaliation raid against her tribe’s enemies, her brothers perished. Spared by a leader of her enemies, she returned home to find herself the chief of her tribe. Bolahulag, half-civilized and half-barbarian, half-lowborn and half-royal. Raised in his mother’s civilized tent in a sea of barbaric shelters, Bolahulag was hesitant to follow his paternal way of life. After a battle between a civilized king and his father, Bolahulag was sent as hostage to learn the economy and military of the nation his father defeated. Derai knew nothing more than being an orphan, but when a merchant took her in, the world she thought impossible soon became a reality. Monghe, stuck in a school exemplifying strength for most of his life, began to understand what he needed to do in order to be strong instead of weak. Story is mostly about nothing. Fermboi does most of the nothing. Aventina does most of the military things. Bolahulag does a balance of economy and military. Derai focuses on economy. Monghe spitfires what it means to be a typical hero. Hopefully this is enough to give a general idea to people who don’t like going blind aside from the work being purportedly “good.” Who am I kidding, my writing is terrible. I hope it improves though.
