《Killer Frost • Stiles Stilinski / Boyxboy》46

Gotham City
It had been a rough couple of weeks for Stiles after chasing down a monster croc with his crew. Being in the FBI's Supernatural department wasn't much different than being in the pack. Fighting supernatural beings, and preventing them from hurting society was the normal for him now. The only difference is that it never got personal like how it did with the pack.
Stiles and his crew walked into a giant glass greenhouse with plants flourishing like never before seen. Plants with marvelous bright colors that are unreal to the mind. Stiles continued to walk through the path that led them to the section cut off with yellow FBI tape.
"What do we have here?" Stiles asks a GCPD officer, as he goes under the red tape. He walks up to a body covered in a white blanket and his blue fish partner, , follows as well.
"A body." The GCPD responds back and Stiles looks at him already knowing the obvious. The GCPD officer nods at the clean up crew, and they take the blanket off revealing a young teenage boy's body with plants growing out of his mouth, as his skin is turned completely green.
Stiles looks at the plant corpse guessing what being could possibly carry out an attack like that. Rook goes in front of him as he begins to sniff something strange out. "Something seems off." Rook tells Stiles and Stiles lets Rook do what he has to do. Rook has never been wrong, and Stiles has never doubted his trust neither abilities. Rook squats down in front of the body with a razor in his hand and slices open the chest. As the razor slides through the body's chest, plants begin to disperse out, but not just any plant, a specific plant.
"." Stiles says recognizing the plant as it brings back memories to his life in Beacon Hills with Daniel Isley. "But how?" Stiles asks confused, still not being able to narrow down the type of creature that could do such a thing in his mind. He has studied and seen all the creatures in all of the supernatural world.
Rook snips out a piece of the flesh of the human body and analyzes it with a small microscope in his belt. "It's growing from the dead flesh." Rook says and then looks at Stiles expecting him to automatically tell him what creature could do something like this but he has no clue.
Rook and Stiles investigate the building for any possible leads but they're given nothing. The trails are cold, and whoever was there, made sure that the place was clean. This narrows Stiles' thoughts down to more of a human creature, instead of a true creature. True creatures tend to be messy, leaving substances behind like a kanima with its' slime. Human creatures are more serene, they're human which makes them have common sense and this being did have a lot of it.
"We're Cold." Stiles tells Rook disappointed in himself, as he knows there has to be a way to track down a lead, but there's nothing. No witnesses, no cameras, and no evidence of anybody really being in the greenhouse.
Stiles and Rook head back to their HQ in D.C. When Stiles arrives, he's met with the other supernatural creature coworkers of his. The FBI recruits supernatural creatures as their agents and in return for their sacrifice for the country, the creatures are offered housing and a place to hide from the public. Stiles walks around the office greeting the creatures, one by one knowing all their names by memory and treating them like normal beings.

The creatures fancied Stiles, and were surprised that Stiles had lasted this long in the department. They didn't know Stiles' backstory, but they could smell and sense that something about him wasn't right either. Stiles had left over energy from the nogitsune, and many could smell that on him fearing that he could snap, but to Stiles, that was the last thing on his mind that he worried about. Stiles knew himself, and believed that he'd always be Stiles and that's what made him strong. He only wished that he could tell Chris that before he had transformed into Killer Frost.
Stiles gets in his little office box and sits in his desk turning on his computer. His office space was nicely decorated and well kept with photos of his father and him at his graduation. Framed on his desk by his computer was the photo of the pack, all five of them Lydia, Allison, Chris, Scott and himself. Besides the photo of the pack he finds a framed photo of Chris smiling goofy like that Stiles took during a summer night when they had first been dating. Chris didn't like the photo because he didn't pose for it, but Stiles loved it because it was raw and it showed how warm and happy Chris was at that time with him.
Stiles had kept open tabs on Chris knowing where he was, but keeping it a secret to the rest of the pack. Stiles worried that if the pack knew, they would force Chris to come back and aid Scott and his growing pack to be the medic for them. All that Stiles ever wanted was for Chris to be happy, and as tempting as it is for him to just drive to where Chris is staying at, he doesn't. Stiles simply respects Chris' choice of self discovery.
Stiles gets a notification popping up on his phone from a group chat message. Stiles looks down to his phone, seeing that it's a message from Scott, but it's different. Stiles opens his phone to see Lydia, Chris, and Derek in the group chat as the contacts, and then reads the following message: 'S.O.S.' with coordinates to the old loft.
Stiles breathes heavily panicking as it's a call for help from Scott. The pack before leaving made a deal that if anything extremely bad happened that needed all of their attention, Scott or one of them would send the following text. The only suspicion is that Chris was left out of the deal, but he's in the group chat.
Stiles knows for sure that Chris won't be receiving the message. Stiles gets up from his desk immediately knowing that he has to find Chris and bring him to Beacon Hills. If Scott has added Chris into the chat, it's for a reason. Stiles grabs his phone making a call to his office asking for the next flight leaving to .

The Snake's Bar
Stiles walks into the bar filled with thugs, and gang members. This is the last place that he'd find Chris, but he's here. As Stiles walks around, he's looked at strangely and he hears live rock music playing from a band across the filled room.
People play on the old game tables and he sees various characters in the bar. It's dingy. And it wreaks of filth.
Stiles walks up to the bar counter standing next to a big guy on his stool. "My, what a selection... Got a recommendation?" He asks the guy being friendly, and trying to not make a scene with his appearance in a suit as he looks like no other FBI agent.

"Yeah, drink somewhere else." The man responds and burps loudly. Stiles gets disgusted but holds back his snarky comment before he makes a scene here and it's the last thing he wants to do.
Stiles stares at the back of the tall bartender wearing a white button shirt, and faded black jeans. His hair is brunette, and his skin is a warm golden tone. Stiles immediately gets nervous not knowing what to say as it's been almost too long.
"What can I get you?" He hears the familiar voice ask him without the distorted tone in his voice.
"Let's go with something sweet." Stiles responds back not knowing exactly what he wants. He was never a drinker. "but deceptively strong with lots of ice." Stiles says describing Chris as a drink, and Chris turns around with his strong and charming smile and he's surprised to see him here.
"Shirley Temple coming right up." Chris respond back going along with this role play to keep Stiles away.
"What is a nice guy with the chance of getting two doctorates and a PHD overnight doing in a rat's nest like this one?" Stiles asks as Chris begins to prepare the drink, and Stiles is completely right. As much as Stiles kept tabs on Chris it frustrated him that Chris wasn't chasing to do the right things for himself, but he accepted that because he trusted that Chris knew what he was doing.
"Working." Chris responds in his joyful tone and when Stiles hears it, he's comforted to know that Chris is truly himself once again. It seems like the road to self discovery did work for him after all. "How'd you find me?" Chris wonders as he's made sure that nobody would find him.
"Well, you do the math." Stiles says flashing his FBI badge and Chris chuckles proudly of him knowing that Stiles is living his dream.
"You looked me up?" Chris calls him out and Stiles gets embarrassed as it sounds like he's been stalking him but Chris is comforted by it. It made Chris know that Stiles never stopped caring, even if he was Killer Frost or himself.
Chris gives Stiles his drink and then walks away to the other end of the bar continuing to work but Stiles follows him. "You're looking a lot less frosty than the last time I saw you." Stiles tells him. "You said you weren't him, but you weren't Chris either." Stiles asks the questions that he can't answer with a satellite. Stiles walks up to a Chris cleaning up left over food and empty glasses of drinks.
"It's just me, Stiles. I'm just Chris." Chris clears it up for Stiles and Stiles feels relieved but confused as to how that happened.
"How'd you do it?" Stiles asks and Chris continues to clean up being distracted by his ex boyfriend. Chris gets overwhelmed by the question and ignores it not wanting to reveal the cold hard truth.
"What do you want?" Chris finally asks him as he knows Stiles too well. Chris knows that Stiles is here for something important, and he knows that if Stiles knew where he always was, that he would've came sooner, and he's glad that he didn't. Chris is glad, but also knows that something has happened if Stiles is here then.
"Well, a stiffer drink, for starters." Stiles teases Chris, and seeing Chris back to normal, fully back to normal once again makes him confused. "If you're back to normal, I have to know, why didn't you come back to us?" Stiles asks and Chris looks at Stiles not knowing how to answer the question, and begins to shake his head lightly shutting Stiles out. "Okay, I get it. That's fine." Stiles responds back as he's learned his lesson on not to press Chris' buttons.
"But I'm just glad that you're doing fine." Stiles tells him and Chris knows that Stiles being here is a bad idea.
"Let me guess, this is about the S.O.S message from Scott?" Chris tells Stiles as he kept his phone for old memories.
"You knew about that?" Stiles says shocked and then forgets about it. "He needs us Chris, and we need your help if he included you." Stiles asks Chris and as he does he feels the presence of a man with a white eye begin to walk towards him slowly and stare at him down. Chris looks at Stiles wanting to help him until the man with the white eye stands next to Stiles cutting Chris off from saying yes.
"Everything okay?" The white eyed man asks and Stiles looks at him confused.
"Everything's fine." Chris responds back to the white eye man nervously and he gets tense. Chris feels a chill grow on his spine, sensing the presence of somebody trying to come out but he holds it back.
"Yeah, everything's great, pal." Stiles responds being irritated by the intruder in their conversation. "Do you mind? I'm talking to him?" Stiles tells off the man and the man looks straight at him getting really close to him. "I'm sure there's someone else you can find in here to commiserate with over poor life choices." Stiles continues to go off and Chris gets tense, continuing to do his job not joining in with Stiles.
The man backs away, leaving Stiles and Chris alone and Stiles sighs heavily and deeply.
"I don't know what trouble Scott got himself into this time but he needs us. But we... I... can't do it without you. So help us out, please?" Stiles attempts to convince Chris in hopes that Killer Frost's old personality hasn't had an effect on Chris' personality. "Chris?" Stiles says and when Chris hears his name and he makes a small smile debating on the choice.
"My shift's over in an hour." Chris tells Stiles softly holding back his pride, and Stiles smiles proudly knowing that his true love is back.
"Boy, I got time." Stiles says and then finally takes a drink out of his Shirley Temple. "Oh, this is good! ?" Stiles says amazed by the taste of his alcoholic drink.
"." Chris mocks Stiles as he's dragging Chris back into their old life, but he smiles, and they both chuckle softly. Chris leaves Stiles alone and Stiles smiles brightly excited to have Chris back finally.

Homecoming | A Chronicles of Ascension Story
When Jethen was captured by slavers, his childhood was torn from him and left shattered half a world away. When he finds himself back home decades later, by methods he does not fully understand, he finds that the life he has lived has changed him far more than he knew. In a home he no longer knows. Places and people at the same time familiar and foreign, he must decide - stay and help with his parent's business, or return to the land that remade him and the family he made there. --------- Homecoming started as just a short story to break an episode of writers block. It has since morphed well beyond that into a novel in it's own right, and may well end up with a sequel. The writing of Homecoming became a bit of a self induced challenge to improve my initial, first brush, writing quality. Each chapter was written raw, given a once over read and edit, and then posted. In this way I am forcing myself to write better from the start. I do hope you enjoy the story and will leave a comment or review, and if you see an issue, feel free to let me know as well. I know it is not nearly perfect, and it will get a full and proper edit once I am done. Never hurts to fix things along the way though. As an additional note. The story has undergone a structural rework and has been reposted in an updated structure and sequence of chapters. If you have read this story already, I invite you to do so again in this new structure.
8 172Pillars Between Us
It started with the dent left by the Forest Sprite; A small crack in the ice that encased his memories. Curtis knew that something was off, realizing that he wasn’t who he thought he was and— perhaps Ellis wasn’t the one meant for him. --It's a fantasy novel set in a world where people inhabit on pillars-- (think of m*necaft sky block, you'll get what I mean) -- then give it a hint of action, mystery and (twisted) romance-- and it's influenced by Japanese fantasy light novels (cuz I read a lot of em'). But I'm sure it's a weird one cuz the style of writing isn't the Japanese to English translated kind of style but rather the orthodox English novel kind of writing (which includes a bunch of errors and broken English thanks to me!). In any case, if you're up for it, just beware the story starts out pretty slow.. I mean-- back then, I was still inexperienced ok! I'm gettin' better along the way, Hmmph!
