Vet Clinic
Lydia quickly runs through the front doors pushing it open and Daniel and I follow her from behind. As I enter I feel a rush of a cold icy wind push against me and chills rise through my body. I look around to see the entire clinic blue with the floors and walls covered in thin layers of frost and ice.
I feel a punch in my gut knowing something bad happened here and I know who's held responsible for it. I hear crying from Deaton's office and I walk over following Lydia to see Scott sitting on the floor by Deaton's frozen blue body with an icicle stabbed through his chest.
Scott lays Deaton's head on his legs and his hands on where the icicle stays. Scott cries and I feel for his pain on this. Scott has been with Deaton for years now. Deaton was a father figure to Scott that he never got to have in life.
Lydia quickly gasps shocked and in distress and I grab on to her to protect her. Daniel walks into the room and gasp and cover his mouth crying immediately being sensitive to this. I hold Lydia tight and cover my face behind her head holding my tears back to be brave as I overhear Scott crying.
"He's gone..." Scott says disappointed in himself. We couldn't save him. Daniel walks towards Deaton's body and sits down in front of Scott touching his ice cold body. Daniel begins to shake and Lydia cries more and I hug her tighter knowing we lost someone special. Someone who has been with us in the pack for years. "I'm so sorry." Scott cries out in pain.
Chris was a son to Deaton. More of a son than Scott was to him. To see Chris do this... It's heartbreaking. But it wasn't him. It couldn't have been. He wouldn't hurt his friends, his family, his own pack like this.

"" Scott says in anger finishing my thought. Scott has never been on the same page about Chris and Killer Frost. This won't prove anything, it only proves that Chris is gone... Fully.
"The ice guy from the party... He did this..." Daniel says in anger and I let go of Lydia looking over at Daniel to see him burning up inside. He's filled with rage now and if this continues on, he's going to do something stupid. "When I find him... I am going to kill him..." He says as a tear drops down his chin. Daniel quickly gets up from the floor and walks out and I let him throw his tantrum. If I can't find Frost, then he won't have a chance.
Scott lets go of Deaton and stands up grabbing a white blanket to cover Deaton. I look around and see a camera pointing directly at Deaton's body but I choose to not say anything about it.
"What are we going to do?" Lydia asks worrying and Scott shakes his head being mute as he stares at Deaton's body.
"We can't burry him... not now." Scott says talking slow and shakes his head. "This is all my fault... If we just paid some attention to Chris and did everything to help him he wouldn't have turned into Killer Frost and maybe Deaton would've been alive." Scott says admitting to what Killer Frost would want to be heard from him.
"No it's mine." Lydia says finally admitting her vision to the pack. "If I told him the truth... Of what he would've became..."
"No it's not... It's ..." I say putting the problem on us. "And now it's our duty to get Chris back." I say and hold Lydia's hand tightly and Scott turns around frustrated and angry.

"" Scott snaps loudly looking at me, eye to eye. "For god sake! I don't understand how much we have to tell you both! Are you forgetting all the bad things that this 'Chris' has done! He's stabbed us! Tried to freeze us and finally killed one of us! Hell, maybe even more things that we don't know about! This isn't what Chris would do!"
"Scott he's " I yell to defend Chris. "It's what you said when I was possessed by the nogitsune right? or when Kira was loosing control... When nobody believed in me but you! What has changed now? Is Chris not as important as Kira and me?"
"For the last time! ... and it's time you face that truth. The friend we grew up with in Kindergarten... Your best friend... The man you truly are in love with... ." Scott says and I hate this feeling of being divided with him. "If you choose to believe that Chris is there, go ahead, but that's on you and Lydia. But from where I am standing, it looks like it's Killer Frost in full control." Scott says and he's a hypocrite, I don't believe in him anymore.
"You really seem to trust and believe in the wrong people too often." I say calling him on his constant bullshit and walk out with Lydia following me from behind. Theo and Laurel are prime examples of why Scott can't be trusted with ideas of his own. I don't think he's even capable of having common sense.
As I walk out of the room I see Daniel calmed down and he crosses his arms still upset. I'll have to be careful of him, we might be in the same pages on things but Daniel is still unpredictable to me. I can't expect to trust him fully in this pack yet, especially with the stunt he pulled on Killer Frost when he aimed the gun at Chris.

A King in the Clouds
Tanlar. A cruel, repulsive, and foul word. It meant untitled, officially, but it also meant ungifted, unable, unworthy, unnecessary, unhuman. It was more a curse than a term, a badge only the damned and condemned wore. To be a tanlar was to know your life, your entire being, was insignificant. Once Kaizer had resigned himself to such a fate, but those times had passed. He may have been untitled, but he was anything but untalented. He refused to scrape by at the bottom of society. Those who stood above him could sneer all they liked, but he wouldn’t suffer being stepped on for long. He’d be better, much better. But of course he would be. ‘Fate’ demanded it so. [Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] What To Expect: The story of a boy becoming a man becoming a king + everything that entails. Largely gamelit, but later arcs could be called litrpg. Also schemes. A lot of schemes. I do love some good ol' fantasy politics and intrigue. Minimum Word Count a Week: TBA after Writathon Release Time(s): Daily for as long as I can/until the end of the Writathon. I also write The Deathseeker [Returning Dec 5th]
