"N-no, no," Ice said, her hand turning to dust. Then Ice's eyes turned brown and Carry returned.
"Mom!" She screamed. "Time must've caught up with us, I-I d-don't wanna go."
"Carry, hey you're going to be all right." Carry ran to her daughter, "take her somewhere else, to another time period! Maybe that will stop it! Give us enough time! Oh god we just need time!" Carry's limbs disintegrated upon her mother's touch. Barry went to Carry and Caitlin's side.
"B-Barry?" Tears streamed down all of their faces. Carry was going to be erased from time.
"Yes Carry?" He rubbed Caitlin's back while Carry slowly disappeared.
"I-I a-am...your...daughter..." Were her last words before she was gone, a simple pile of dust in the wind.
Barry and Caitlin couldn't believe their ears. They had a child together? Then who is Nora's dad? And what happened to Iris and Barry, the perfect couple?

This Used to be About Dungeons is a comfy slice-of-life adventuring story that occasionally features dungeons. Updates Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Mostly it's about walking in the woods with a friend, looking for mushrooms to put in your soup, or haggling with the guy selling squash, or taking care of a neglected garden. It's putting some jam on shortbread biscuits. And yes, sometimes you go down into the dungeons with your friends, and you kill monsters there, or disarm traps, but when you come out, you realize you've found the perfect magic item to give to one of the local kids that helped you out when your cat was sick. Look, the dungeons are always going to be there, and sometimes you need to make a journey to one of the Spirit Gates, or make a pilgrimage with the local Cleric of Symmetry to a holy shrine. Your tour through the local dungeons can wait. You'll have rivalries with other groups, and find some dungeon eggs that need to be carefully incubated in case they turn out to be something valuable, and help a friend to build a fishing weir. It looked sounded and felt like it would be just another game, it even had prompts and levels. Piece of cake. Well that might be the case if Fracture was meant to be a paradise. The hottest fires forge the strongest swords. This fire has the habit of melting away oneself. A pixie clan searching for a new home, a boy who just lost his, a reality bending forest, and a bug that doesn't belong. All with an intense desire for power. Who will make it through the fire intact, and will they choose to be a hero, or will they join the long history of villains and monsters?
