《Future untold》Cause and Killer Frost

The alarm sounded throughout the entire building, only Carry and Caitlin came to the cortex. They could handle a simple solo mission, right?
Caitlin wouldn't negotiate with Carry since getting hurt the last time. She stayed behind, watching over the monitors. Carry slouched in her chair, she really wanted to go with her mother.
Carry watched through the body cams. Killer Frost arrived and got two icicle daggers out. They both stood on the roof of a skyscraper, Killer Frost's silky white hair blew in the chilly wind. She was ready to take the bastard who hurt her child down.
In this moment, as Killer Frost ignored the voice in her head telling her not to harm Dwyer, she aimed to kill him.
She went for his head and was met with a hard block against her wrist. She then swung her other arm underneath and stabbed him in the stomach. He doubled back, pulling the sharp, blood covered icicle out.
It didn't take long for him to regain his balance and attack Killer Frost. He attempted to thrust his dagger into her heart, however she dodged just in time. She counteracted it with two swings at his face, one of which slashed his cheekbone. Killer Frost kicked as hard as she could while Cicada was stunned, slamming him into the cool concrete. His dagger slid across the roof and out of reach for now.
"You nearly killed our daughter!" She hissed as she stood over Dwyer. It felt amazing to be in full control again, making this man suffer was at the top of her list of things to do. Caitlin was now a mere whisper at the back of her mind, held back by Killer Frost's anger.
"Shrap." Carry saw through the monitor what Killer frost was about to do. They weren't supposed to kill him, they needed to wait for Barry and the cure. But that's another thirty four minutes, Carry needed to do something now.

The breech opened, pulling Killer Frost's attention away from the disabled man under her. Carry jumped through and it closed.
"Killer Frost! Don't do this, we have to wait for Barry!"
"We always have to wait for Barry, I can end this right now!" She lifted her daggers again.
"And kill this man? That isn't you," Carry tried calming her down but it only made it worst.
"It's in my name, Killer Frost."
"It's just a name."
"Not for me," Killer Frost raised her icicle daggers and thrusted them downward, into Cicada's chest. He awakened for a moment, before the light drained from his eyes. Killer Frost's bright white eyes and silvery hair faded into Caitlin.
Caitlin's brown eyes were filled with horror at what her alter ego had done. Carry rushed to her mother's side as she collapsed beside Dwyer's lifeless body.
"I wanted him to suffer..." Blood leaked from his fatal wounds and onto the ground near them, "but nobody deserves to die."

8 196They never called, yet he is here (censored edition)
Introduction:Not every world needs a Summoned Hero, even if it is possible to summon one. No, really! Everywhere, no matter the time, there are always good people who can use glory, power and personal harem themselves. And the one who was summoned? He is just a resource, nothing more… Translation of the original novel by Avada KadavraThe uncensored version is available here.Authors notes:This is just my take on the whole Hero Summoning thing, where a hero happened to survive.Fatal mistake, an error in a well-oiled mechanism that lasted for generations, gave a Hero a tiny chance to decide his own fate. After all, bad guys never expect a Hero to come, yet, the fucker still does.Partially inspired by the series “You summoned the wrong one” by Aitbaev T.A. who was in turn inspired by “Rise of the Shield Hero”.I have to warn you, Aibaev’s work of fiction is pretty out of ordinary, it makes one breath fire, cry until tears turn to blood and laugh to unconsciousness in equal measure.
