Rita, Alice, and Lorelei are walking

Alice - So what's going on Reet?

Rita hands them various documents and passports

Rita - This is my present, my way of saying thank you. You're all leaving for America tonight. I arranged the whole thing

Lorelei - This can't be real, it feels like a dream

Rita - it's real Lori

Lorelei is crying

Rita - Gawd don't start all that or you'll get me going too

Lorelei - Why would you do all this for me?

Rita - Because of what you did for me. You got rid of that bastard Craven. I would have done it myself if you hadn't. He deserved everything he got and you don't deserve to spend the rest of your life in prison for getting rid of that bastard, you did the world a favour.

Lorelei - He threatened my little girl and I'd do anything to protect her

Rita - Yeah I know....so are you ok now? Coping with things? They let you out of Ingleside, that's a good thing

Lorelei - Yes I'm ok but the nightmares are still there, maybe in time they will go away, I hope so

Rita - They will, I know they will. You're a fighter Lori

Lorelei and Rita hug.

Lorelei - Thank you so much, Rita

Rita - Go on ya dopey mare, go and see Zoe

Lorelei goes and Rita and Alice are alone

They stand in silence for a moment

Rita - Gawd I never thought I'd see the day when you had nothing to say Lurch

Alice is crying

Rita offers her a tissue

Rita - Not you too, I don't know who's worse, you or Lori

Alice laughs

Alice - You're the best friend I ever had Reet. I used to think that Kelly was my best mate but when I met you I found out for the first time in my life what a true friend is

Rita - You were a right bitch when I met ya

Alice giggles

Alice - Gee thanks

Rita - I figured someone had to put you on the right path, I knew there was a good person in there Lurch, you just needed to stay away from people like Kelly

Alice - I guess this is it? Once we go we won't ever see each other again?

Rita nods sadly

Rita - Yeah, I hate goodbyes too

Alice - I'll never forget you or what you've done for us. this is something special

Rita - This is your chance to make a go of it, make a new life. It's up to you now, I can only give you this helping hand I can't be there anymore. You have Harry and I want you both to make it work, America's a big place and there is so much out there for you. Just remember Roach, she got away didn't she, they never caught her

Alice and Rita share a giggle

Rita - And look after Lori for me, make sure she and Zoe are ok

Alice - Yeah I will. I reckon Harry will want them to stick around he likes kids

Rita - C'mon it's time to go......

Alice - Thanks Reet, I still love ya and I haven't forgotten what you did for us. Its been a hard journey but we finally made it to New York, after spending 2 years traveling all around the states, all four of us

Colleen and Geoff are sitting in their car

Geoff - You shouldn't have quit too love, now we're both out of a job

Colleen - I wanted to, I couldn't work there after the way she treated you

Geoff - But it was my problem, shouldn't have involved you

Colleen - No truth be told my heart wasn't really in it anyway. As soon as I stepped in there and saw Joan and Marina again I knew I didn't want to be back there. My heart's just not in it anymore, I'm tired of it. Tired of Ferguson and Donovan and dealing with scum

Geoff - But what will you do now? You aren't the type to sit around all-day

Colleen - Honestly? I want to go traveling again

Geoff looks surprised

Geoff - Really? You never said anything about this before

Colleen - Well I'm saying it now. I was happy when I was traveling, seeing the world, meeting different people. It was an adventure, it was exciting. Ever since I've been back here I haven't really been happy, I feel trapped. I feel like a prisoner myself

Geoff - I had no idea you felt so strongly

Colleen -Well I do, I would be happy if I never stepped foot inside a prison again. Let the likes of Donovan and Ferguson get on with it. I only really went back for your sake and now that you've quit there is no need to stay...the only question now is are you willing to come traveling with me?

Geoff looks thoughtful for a moment then smiles

Geoff - Yes why not, I'd love to Col. It's like you say, it will be an adventure

Colleen - Lets leave tonight

Geoff - That soon?

Colleen - Yes, why put it off any longer? I can't wait to get off and see some more of the world

Geoff - Where do you want to go first?

Colleen - I think south America!...we'll start with Venezuela, I want to see Angel Falls!

They kiss

Colleen and Geoff stand in awe as the water thunders down from the great heights

Geoff - So here we are, at last, you get to see Angel falls just like you always wanted to

Colleen - Yes and it's just as amazing as I imagined it to be

Geoff - Once we've finished here where in the world would you like to go next?

Colleen thinks about it for a second before breaking into a smile

Colleen - It has to be New York next

Geoff agrees

Geoff -New York it is then...and you're not missing Wentworth or Blackmoor at all, are you?

Colleen delivers a cheeky smile

Colleen - Well what do you think? I mean traveling the world and seeing beautiful sights really is so dull compared to being stuck working inside a prison

They both laugh and kiss happily

FLASHBACK - EPISODE 822

Eileen - GET YOUR HANDS OFF ME YOU LUNATICS, YOU ARE MISTAKEN I AM NOT EILEEN RAYMOND!

Police officer - Spare us the lies ma'am, we've seen your photograph! Come along quietly. You will also be charged for the murders of two of our colleagues today as well, more deaths to add to the list!

They are all startled suddenly by a noise. They all look as the plane suddenly takes off

Maureen looks delighted, Eileen looks horrified

Eileen - STOP THEM! STOP THE PLANE AT ONCE! THAT'S MY PLANE! THEY ARE STEALING MY PLANE!

Janice, Richard, and Tommy wave happily to Maureen as the plane goes high into the sky, Maureen waves back with a huge smile

They all watch as the plane disappears into the sky

Onboard, Janice, Richard, and Tommy look out the window to the world below them

Janice whispers in her son's ear

Janice - By tonight we will be on a different continent, just the three of us

Janice looks at Richard with a smile. They hug with joy

Janice, Richard, and Tommy are inside one of the hotel rooms, where Janice is sitting looking at Eileen's credit cards and a suitcase full of Eileen's money

Janice - This will see us through for a while Rich, but not forever. We will need to sort other ways of surviving, prepare for when this lot runs out

Richard - I know love, don't worry we will sort out jobs for us both

Janice - It will be very hard, we are illegal immigrants after all...and I don't know what we will do about Tommy when we're both working

Richard - We will have our own place and hire a nanny eventually

Janice - How will we do it?

Richard -I can't deny it will be hard but we'll get there

Richard looks at Eileen's suitcase of money with a smile

Richard - And this lot will help us get on our feet

Tommy looks bored

Tommy - Mummy, I am bored

Janice hug her son

Janice - My darling I know, in a minute we will go out and explore the city. It will be one great adventure

Tommy brightens up

Lorelei is in a bedroom sitting on the bed reading to Zoe as Alice pops her head around the door

Alice - I'm off to work now Lori, I'll see you later tonight

Lorelei - Ok Alice, see you later and have a good day

Alice smiles and then leaves the flat

A construction site somewhere in New York

Harry is hard at work labouring

Reb is working in an office block in the city. She looks suitably bored by the work

Janice, Richard, and Tommy are walking down a busy city street

Janice - Happier now darling?

Tommy (excited) - Yes mummy!

Reb and the woman are sitting down

Reb - I think we need to set a date to do the job soon Erica, the sooner the better really. I have to be honest, I don't think I can put up with that lousy office job much longer, it just isn't for me, it's far too boring

Erica looks at Reb with a sheepish look

Erica - Look Rachel, I'm sorry but I don't think I can help you with this now

Reb looks angry

Reb - What the hell do you mean you can't help? We've discussed this for months and you said you were up for it

Erica - I'm sorry I guess I'm just too much of a wimp, it all seems so risky to me

Reb - Well you can't just back out now, I'm counting on you

Erica - I'm sorry, I have to go now Rachel, I can't help you with this I'm sorry

Erica stands up to leave and Reb stands up and tries to stop her from leaving

Reb - We had a deal bitch, I'm not letting you back out on me now after all this time planning

Erica starts to get angry

Erica - I've changed my mind and you can't do a thing about it, I'm sorry to let you down but you have no choice but to accept it

Erica collects her things and marches out leaving Reb fuming

Harry returns to the apartment after what appears to have been a hard day's work. He looks tired and dirty

Lorelei is sitting in the lounge on the sofa with Zoe as Harry enters the room and smiles at them

Lorelei - Look Zoe, it's uncle Harry back from a hard day's work

Colleague - Hey wait, Andrea, I wondered if you fancied a quick drink tonight

Alice - Oh I don't know Olivia, my Harry is waiting for me back home. Maybe another night

Olivia -Oh please, just for half an hour or so. To tell you the truth I really don't want to go home yet

Alice gives Olivia a knowing look

Alice - Still problems between you and Frank?

Olivia nods her head

Olivia - Yes, it's getting worse lately. I really need a drink first before I go home and face our next fight

Alice - Well ok, I suppose Harry can wait a while longer

Olivia - Oh thanks Andrea, you're a great friend!

They link arms as they walk up the street

Lorelei is cooking as Harry comes into the kitchen in his dressing down, drying his hair with a towel

Lorelei - Nice shower?

Harry - Yes, just what I needed, I feel so dirty and exhausted after 12 hours on that construction site

Lorelei - Just think of the money, it helps get you through the work

Harry - Yes, you're right there, cash in hand too, it's better

Lorelei - You must be starving now, sit right on down and I will be ready to dish up in a few minutes. There is some for Alice too, I'll keep it in the oven for her to have once she gets in

Harry - Lori love, Alice and I have told you so many times you don't have to cook for us

Lorelei - It's the least I can do really, after all, Zoe and I are living here with you and I don't even have a job right now

Harry - But we understand it's hard and you are looking

Lorelei - I would like it if Zoe and I had our own place eventually too

Harry - There is no rush there as far as I'm concerned and Alice feels the same

Lorelei - But you must want the place to yourself, we just get in the way

Harry - No you don't. We like having you here, Alice promised Rita she'd look after you both and she intends to stick to it

Lorelei smiles and looks tearful

Lorelei - Alice, and Rita are the two best friends I have ever had, I only wish Reet could have come with us too. We miss her terribly.

Harry looks sad too

Harry - Yeah Alice and I wished that too. All we can do now is make this work as we promised her, she wanted us to make a go of it and so far so good

They both smile

Alice and Olivia are in the same bar where Reb is sitting at the bar getting drunk and looking pissed off

Reb spots Alice and does a double-take, she looks stunned to see her at the bar

Reb slips away unnoticed and finds a dark corner of the bar to sit-in

Alice and Olivia sit down at a table with their drinks

Olivia - So cheer me up a bit, how are your wedding plans coming along?

Alice - Slowly, Harry and I are both working hard and saving up for it but it takes time

Olivia - You'll get there eventually, it will be worth the wait

Alice - I know I just need to be patient but right now I feel impatient and just want to marry him as soon as possible. Everything always comes back to lousy money and the lack of it

Harry and Lorelei are sitting eating

Harry - This is lovely, you really are a great cook Lori

Lorelei - Oh you flatter me! I just throw some stuff together and do my best with it that's all, it's nothing special

Harry - You're being too modest, you are a very good cook really

Harry looks at the clock

Harry - I don't know where Alice has got to tonight, it's not like her to be this late

Lorelei - I'm sure she'll be back soon enough, probably having a drink with some of the girls from work

Harry - Or working overtime to get some extra money together

Lorelei - You are really struggling?

Harry - A bit yes, we are trying to save up for the wedding and pay all the bills at the same time

Lorelei looks guilt-ridden

Lorelei - See I just knew you were having problems and Zoe and I being here and me not working isn't helping one little bit

Harry - I told you it's fine, we want you here

Lorelei - Well I need to find a job now, no more arguing about it. It's time I paid my way and did my bit

Harry - We know you are trying to find something, Lori

Lorelei - Well I am not trying hard enough am I, it's time I tried harder

Suddenly they hear a loud thud and Zoe scream out with pain from one of the other rooms

Lorelei panics and leaps out of her seat, quickly followed by Harry

Lorelei - ZOE DARLING WHERE ARE YOU? WHATS HAPPENED!

Lorelei and Harry run through the flat searching the rooms until they find Zoe in one of the bedrooms laid out on the floor crying

Lorelei - What happened sweetheart?

Zoe cries and cries

Zoe - I fell off the top of the wardrobe!

Lorelei - You silly naughty girl, how many times have I told you now not to climb up on the top of it! This is what happens

Zoe - I know mummy, I'm sorry...my leg hurts mummy

Lorelei - Come on my little princess, let's get you up off that floor

Lorelei tries to pull Zoe up and she screams in agony

Zoe - MY LEG HURTS SO BAD!

Alice and Olivia are leaving the bar. It's dark on the street outside but loud and busy

Alice (jokey manner) - Harry will kill me for being so late back!

Olivia - Tell him it was all my fault...well thanks for coming to the bar with me, I suppose its time I went home and faced Frank

Alice - Good luck love, I hope you don't argue too much tonight

Olivie - So do i

Alice and Olivia part company and Alice walks off along the street.

Reb follows her and taps her on the shoulder

Alice turns around and looks stunned

Reb - Fancy seeing you here Lurch, small world eh!

Dr - I'm afraid your daughter has a broken leg

Lorelei - Oh my god no, the poor little thing

Dr - We can fix it of course, but it won't be cheap. I trust you will be able to afford your medical bill for it?

Harry - Yes of course doc, we'll pay whatever it must be to fix that poor kids leg

Lorelei - Please go and do it at once dr, she was in so much pain and I just can't bear it

Alice - I have nothing to say to you Kean so bugger off!

Reb - Now don't be like that Lurch, this is fate bringing us back together can't you see that?

Alice - No, all I can see is a bitch I hoped I'd never see ever again

Reb - The timing for this in fact couldn't be better. I've been badly let down by some bitch who was supposed to be my friend. Now I reckon you could take her place

Alice - Take her place for what exactly?

Reb - Just a little job I need to do and I can't do it all by myself

Alice - This is something criminal isn't it? Well count me out, I'm going straight these days

Reb - Come on now Lurch, this is a good job, we'll both make a lot of money out of it

Alice - I said forget it Reb, don't you ever listen?

Reb hands Alice a card

Reb - Look Lurch, my contact details are on here, think it over, and if you change your mind give me a call ok?

Alice - I won't change my mind

Reb - Well keep hold of my details anyway. Contact me if you need to any time

Alice - I won't but thanks

Reb - We all need friends Alice

Alice - You were never my friend, not a real one anyway, now goodbye!
