Bob - So I mean it Smith, stop giving Officer Williams a hard time or I'll come down on you like a ton of bricks

Bea looks bored and unimpressed

Janice - Well Smith, what have you got to say about this?

Bea - Williams saved Clements from a bullet, I can't forgive her for that

Bob - Fine, then don't forgive her. But keep your feelings to yourself from now on. Don't continue this vendetta against her

Bea - Yeah sure...

Bob - You're not convincing me that you mean that

Bea - Oh what a pity Mr Moran!

Bob - I think you need 24 hours in solitary to think about your attitude

Bea looks outraged

Bea - What? You can't do that!

Janice is delighted

Janice - Mr Moran is the governor, he can do what he likes

Bea - You bastards!

Bob - We can always make it 48 hours if you'd prefer that Smith

Bea sits quietly fuming

Bob - Ok Miss Raymond, take her up

Janice - With pleasure Mr Moran...come along Smith

Bea gets out of her seat

Bob - Oh and Smith, I really do suggest you use the time wisely to think about your attitude towards Officer Williams

Bea (angry) - Yeah sure!

Bea storms out with a delighted Janice

Toni is still tearful as Beth comforts her

Toni - So that's it, now Sandra is in Ingleside and Bea Smith hates me

Beth shakes her head looking horrified

Beth - I always knew that woman Clements had a screw loose. I didn't think it was this bad though

Toni - I think we all knew deep down inside, but none of us did enough to help her

Beth - I don't think there is much anyone can do for people like her, to be honest. At least she is in the best place now, the place she needs to be

Toni - Yes, but look at the harm she has caused to people before that happened

Beth - Oh love, I can see this has really got to you

Toni - Yes it has, it really has

Beth - You need a holiday

Toni - Yes, Mr Moran encouraged me to take one. Maybe it would do me good for three or four days

Beth - Any thoughts on where you'll go?

Toni - I haven't a clue, got any ideas, Beth?

Beth looks thoughtful

Janice shows Bea into solitary

Janice - I was thinking only earlier that you were due a spell in here Smith.

Bea - Putting me in here won't change the way I feel about Williams

Janice - Oh dear... this just won't do Smith

Bea - Tough! Not much you can do about it

Janice (smirking) - Isn't there?

Janice leaves the cell

Bea watches her go with an intrigued look on her face

Vera arrives at the Rec room with Sasha

Vera - Ladies, another new arrival

Judy gets up and approaches with a smile

Judy - Hello love, nice to meet you

Sasha - Yes hello...

Judy - What's your name love?

Sasha - Sasha...Sasha Cartwright

Vera-Cartwright will be sharing with Cummings

Madge glances over with a roll of the eyes

Madge - Oh great!

Vera - Well you should count yourself lucky you had a cell to yourself for so long Cummings!

Vera leaves the room

Judy - Come and sit with us love

Judy guides Sasha over to where she, Martha, and Pixie are sitting

Judy - Your first time is it?

Sasha - No hardly, I have been inside at least half a dozen times now. But never in this prison, usually Barnhurst or Fairlea

Judy - I see, well this place isn't so bad once you get used to it. Anything is better than Blackmoor anyway

Pixie - What are you in for Sasha?

Sasha looks angry

Sasha - The reason I am here is a farce, a total farce

Beth pours some fresh tea and gives Toni a smile

Beth - I was thinking of going away for a few days myself, we should go away together. Do you think that would be a good idea?

Toni - Yes that would be lovely Beth. But where would we go?

Beth - I do have an idea, but I am not sure what you will think about it

Toni looks intrigued

The Rec room

Sasha - So the silly old sod falls dead with a heart attack and they charge me with his death

Judy - Hell you're kidding. That's tough love, it's not as if you knew that was going to happen

Sasha - Yes exactly! I tried telling that fat fool Thorne this! I'm sorry Bill died but to blame me is not on, I will fight this

Judy - So you should

Pixie - This reminds me of poor old Martha here too, she is here unfairly as well

Beth - One thing I keep pretty much to myself is my faith. Some people have to let everyone else know, try and force it on them. I don't do that, I am very private about it

Toni - Yes you never mentioned it to me, but I'm not surprised, Beth. I always knew you would have a faith in God, somehow I could just tell

Beth - Do you have faith too?

Toni - Oh I dunno....maybe. I never give it as much thought as I should I guess

Beth - Well this is where my holiday idea comes into it. Every couple of months I visit a religious retreat. It's at a nunnery, the nuns run it and they welcome guests to come along and stay for a few days

Toni - That sounds nice

Beth - It is nice. The nuns are warm and welcoming and it's a lovely location, very peaceful there. The perfect place to relax to think and refresh. Staying there always helps me and I think it would do you some good too

Toni - I don't know Beth, I am not sure how I feel about God, surely the nuns expect you to be religious?

Beth - No, they welcome anyone. They don't force it down people's throats either, you are welcome to join them for prayers if you wish to, if not you are left alone to do your own thing

Toni - Well it sounds nice, I guess we could give it a go. I don't fancy going anywhere noisy and hectic anyway

Beth - Then this is perfect. It's the perfect place for anyone who needs a break from the world

Beth picks her phone up

Beth - I'll give them a call, see if they have any spaces available. If they do we can leave tonight if you like?

Toni - Yes, why not?

Bea is laying on her bed in solitary as the door opens

Bea sits up to look as a group of around half a dozen women walk in followed by Janice

Bea - What's going on?

Janice - These are women from C Block Smith, they were feeling bored..they fancied some fun you know?

Bea jumps up from her bed as the women walk towards her

Janice - She's all your's girls!

Beth puts the phone down and looks delighted

Beth - Yes, they have spaces in the guest house. We can go tonight

Toni - Great!

Beth - I'll run upstairs and pack, then we can drive to your place and get your stuff

Toni - Don't you need to wait to tell Rachel?

Beth - No I can leave a note for her. She won't mind

Bea is badly beaten, as the C Block women throw her to the ground

Bea - You'll pay for that you lousy bunch of bitches!

They all laugh

C Block woman - Yeah sure Smith!...catch ya around eh

They all leave

Janice is waiting in the corridor outside

C Block Woman - We're done with her Miss

Janice - Good work girls, it sounds like she had a good beating!

C Block woman - She did miss and it's the best fun we've had in ages, right girls!

They all laugh and nod along

Janice - Go and wait by the gate, I'll be along in a moment

They all move off

Janice enters the cell and stands to look at Bea

Bea looks up at her from the floor

Beth and Toni load suitcases into Toni's car

Beth - I don't mind taking my car if you'd prefer not to drive love

Toni - No it's ok, I am happy to drive. Come on let's get going. I am actually looking forward to this now

Beth looks pleased

Bea sits up and glares at Janice angrily

Bea - I knew you hadn't bloody changed! People like you never change

Janice - You're wrong Smith, I have been making a genuine effort to treat you women better

Bea - Yeah sure, it really shows!

Janice - It's simple Smith, I care a lot about Toni and I don't like anyone who harms her. I will always do what needs to be done to look out for her. Take this as a warning, leave Toni alone from now on or you'll be very sorry

Bea - You're the one who will be sorry Raymond, as soon as I get out of here you'll pay for this

Janice stamps on Bea's hand

Bea cries out

Bea - BITCH!

Janice - DON'T THREATEN ME, SMITH!... JUST TAKE THE WARNING, DON'T CAUSE ANY MORE TROUBLE FOR TONI!

Bea - Oh I won't, don't worry about that......I have a new interest now don't i. Can't waste time on Williams now!

Janice grins

Janice - I'm sure you do and I'll look forward to it. Of course, I'd prefer we moved on from it but if you really don't want to then that's your problem

Bea - No one bashes me and gets away with it

Janice - But I didn't touch you, Smith! It was the C Block women who bashed you, not me

Bea - Trying to be clever won't help either, I don't find it amusing. This is war now

Janice - You're pathetic, do you know that? You bring trouble on yourself and make enemies with your arrogant behaviour

Bea - I suspect we're both alike Raymond eh!

Janice - I am smarter than you

Bea chuckles

Bea - Yeah sure!

Janice - Oh I am...trust me I am. And remember one other thing too Smith, Clements was crazy but I'm not

Janice leaves the room

Sasha is in her and Madge's cell as Madge arrives

Madge - Good evening

Sasha - Evening...

Madge - I'm not too thrilled about sharing but I suppose I will just have to put up with it

Sasha - I'm not too thrilled about being here full stop. I shouldn't be here

Madge - oh yes, I heard that sad story about poor old Bill, a most unfortunate incident!

Sasha - I'd rather not talk about it anymore tonight if you don't mind

Madge - I'm sure you wouldn't...well anyway I would like to discuss other matters too

Sasha - What other matters?

Madge - What do you have to give me for a start? You must have something like cigarettes maybe?

Sasha - I have nothing and even if I did I wouldn't give you a thing

Madge - Well we'll have to search your suitcase and see. if you won't cooperate I'll take it myself

Madge goes over to the bed and starts to unzip Sasha's suitcase

Madge - I'll help myself to whatever I fancy and that will spare you a bashing....for now anyway!

Sasha - I'd rather you didn't do that

Madge giggles

Madge - Tough, because I'm doing it!

Sasha walks across the room and pushes Madge away from the suitcase

Sasha - I said I'd rather you didn't do that

Madge - Ooh getting cocky are we? Perhaps you need teaching a lesson!

Madge gives Sasha a shove

Sasha is struggling to keep her cool

Sasha - Please don't do that again. Don't ever lay a finger on me again!

Madge laughs and raises a fist to hit Sasha

Madge - You're gonna get it now!

Sasha blocks the punch and gives Madge a clenched fist punch

Madge is knocked out and falls to the floor

Sasha stands over her coolly

Sasha - I did try to warn you, Madge!

Toni pulls up at the gates to a building in the late evening sunshine

Beth - Well this is it, love, prepare to say goodbye to the outside world for a few days

Sasha gets out of bed and see's her sitting there

Sasha - Morning Madge!

Madge - You'll pay for hitting me last night!

Sasha - Oh Madge really! You need to understand that no one pushes me around not ever. Just learn a lesson from it will you

Madge - You'll be the one learning a lesson when I speak to Spider about it!

Beth and Toni are standing outside a door

Beth - When we go inside we must be silent, no speaking

Toni - Oh right...

Beth and Toni walk into a dining room, where the Nuns are sitting eating in silence

An elderly nun rushes over with a warm smile and whispers

Nun - Good morning ladies!... I must ask you both please to be silent in here

Beth (whispering) - Yes I told Tone

Nun - We will have a little chat later on...please now help yourselves to a delicious and nutritious breakfast!

At Wentworth, the women are in the dining room

Judy, Martha, Sasha, and Pixie are sitting together

Judy - Well I'd sure like to know what happened to Bea

Sasha - Bea?

Judy - She's the top dog, you'll meet her pretty soon

Sasha - Oh right

Pixie - I heard she went to the pound

Judy - Oh what for this time? They never leave the poor bitch alone, do they!

Martha smiles at Sasha

Martha - How was your first night?

Sasha - Ok I suppose, shame the bed was so uncomfortable

Judy - I hope Madge didn't give you any trouble

Sasha -Nothing I couldn't handle no

Judy - Well if she does and you need a hand let me know

Sasha - Thanks but I think Madge and I reached an understanding pretty quickly

Pixie - What will you do if they convict you, Sasha?

Sasha - God knows, I need to try and make them realize that Bill's death was a tragic incident that wasn't my fault

Martha - Yes, I mean the man consented to the activities!

Sasha - Yes and he was a tough old sod..I walked up and down his spine wearing high heels once and he never complained!

They all look at Sasha with amazement

Martha - Yes, well of course I can't say I entirely approve of that type of thing, but what consenting adults get up to is their own business at the end of the day

Sasha - What will you do about your conviction Martha? From what you told me last night it really does sound like you have grounds to appeal

Judy - See love? Now Sasha agrees too. We've been trying to tell you this haven't we

Martha -Well I'll think about it a bit more

Toni and Beth are sitting in a room with the elderly nun

Nun - Now we can have a little talk ladies! How was last night, I hope you both had a good sleep?

Toni - Yes thanks, it was peaceful. No cars or noise outside

Nun - Yes we are secluded here

Toni - It's a lovely spot

The nun addresses Beth

Nun - You should show Toni the grounds today, have a walk around the pair of you

Beth - Yes Sister Andrea, I will

Sister Andrea - We have a delightful rose garden and Apple orchard for you to explore

Beth - I have spent many peaceful moments wondering these grounds. I know you will love it too when I show you Tone

Sister Andrea - One other thing ladies, if either of you need to talk about anything while you're here do please come and see me. My door is open at any time for a chat

Toni - Thank you, you all seem very kind here

Sister Andrea gives a warm smile...

....Beth and Toni are out in the rose garden

Toni - You're right, it's peaceful and lovely here

Beth - I knew you'd like it

Toni - The nuns are so warm and welcoming

Beth - Yes, especially Sister Andrea, she is the senior Nun and the leader of the nuns. She has been here for over 40 years

Toni - That is insane! As much as I like it here I could never imagine shutting myself away from the world in here for so many years

Beth - She is at peace here Tone, she feels it was her calling in life. All the nuns here feel the same, they make a commitment to god to remain here for life

Toni - Isn't that a bit like being in prison?

Beth - Maybe a bit, but there are some differences. The first is that they make a choice to be here, Prisoners are held against their will. Secondly, they are nice warm people unlike the sorts you find inside prisons

Toni - I admire all the nuns, I know I could never shut myself in here for 40 years!

Beth - Nor could I, I love my life free out there. I love to come here for a break but not to stay forever

Toni - Will the nuns do anything today?

Beth - They are working at the moment, they have to do some work to fund this place, they make things to sell in the gift shop. Later they will have prayers and worship, we are welcome along if we want to go, I usually join them

Toni looks a little uncomfortable

Toni - Oh I don't know about that...I have never attended worship before. I wouldn't know what to do or how I would feel

Beth - It's ok, you don't have to go. But it's usually more fun than you probably imagine it is. I'd give it a go if I were you. Nuns are more fun to be around than you might realize Tone

Toni looks intrigued

Sasha is walking a corridor as Spider and Madge appear and try and block her path

Spider -Madge told me what ya did to her last night sweetheart

Sasha - Good, perhaps you will realize that I won't be pushed around by you

Spider - Well now we're both gonna make you pay bitch!

Sasha grabs Spider and headbutts her

Spider cries with pain and falls onto her knees clutching her head

Spider - AH YOU BITCH! YOU'RE GONNA PAY FOR THAT!

Sasha laughs

Sasha - You two are fools, real fools. Just learn a lesson, will you!

Sasha carries on by

Madge helps Spider to her feet and shakes her head with dismay

Madge - Well you were quite useless just then Spid!

Spider - She took me by surprise that's all. Next time I'll be ready for her

Pixie is on the press

Martha - You're good on that thing Pixie

Pixie - Yeah, I love working it when Bea isn't around

Martha - I still wish I was allowed in the garden to work with Judy

Pixie - Haven't you asked if you can yet?

Martha - No I felt too scared to ask after I upset Miss Bennett

Spider arrives clutching her head

Pixie - What happened to you?

Spider - None of your bloody business bird brain!

Pixie - Well I was only asking! Really Martha isn't she just so rude!

Martha - Yes, very rude

Vera arrives in the room

Pixie - Oh Miss Bennett, where is Bea?

Vera - In the pound Mason!

Pixie - Oh no, poor Bea!

Vera - Poor Bea nothing, she asked for it like she usually does

Martha looks sheepish

Martha - Miss Bennett, I was wondering if I could have a word, please?

Vera - Well at least you are more polite about it today Conway! Ok, go-ahead

Martha - I was wondering if I could work in the garden with Judy!

Vera sighs

Vera - You women think you can just get moved around as you fancy don't you? Well, we'll see how your behaviour is over the next few days Conway. Maybe if I am satisfied we will see about allowing you to work in the garden!
