It is daylight as Toni sits at her table in her Wentworth uniform, eating her breakfast

The doorbell goes and she goes to answer

Inspector Grace is at the door. along with two uniformed officers

Grace - Good morning Miss William's, I'm sorry to bother you so early in the morning

Toni - Oh that's ok, I was just eating breakfast that's all. How can I help you?

Grace - Could we come in so we can talk, it would be better than talking on the doorstep

Toni - Yes sure

She lets them in

Grace stands and looks around the room

Grace - Are you home alone?

Toni - Yes I am

Grace - We were told that Mrs Clements was staying here?

Toni - Well she was yes, but she moved out yesterday evening

Grace - I see, any idea where she went?

Toni - No inspector none...

Grace - We're looking for her you see

Toni - Oh right, can I ask why?

Grace - We believe that last night she may have committed a very serious crime

Toni - Am I allowed to ask what that crime is?

Grace - Sure, it will be all over the news today anyway. A family was all killed, shot dead in their home. A husband and wife and their teenage son Troy

Toni looks shocked

Toni - How terrible.....well what makes you so sure Sandra was the killer of these poor people?

Grace - Neighbours heard the gunshots and when they bravely went to investigate a woman fitting Clements description was seen leaving the premises and taking off in a car. They were able to get the number plate and guess what!

Toni nods her head

Toni - Yes...Sandra's number plate, right?

Grace - Right!...frankly it seems like she made no effort to conceal her identity. It almost looks like she does not care about getting caught for this

Toni - Well the woman's clearly not well

Grace- Yes, we know that, that is obvious. So you see it is very important that we try and find her as soon as we can, in case she is planning anything else. If you do have any idea where she is you must tell us now

Toni - I really don't have a clue. If I did I would tell you without a seconds hesitation....for all I know she could be planning to come after me next

Grace looks interested

Grace - Oh really? How come?

Toni sighs

Toni - Oh, well we hardly parted on good terms last night. I am sure she is pretty mad at me and given how unstable she is she could very well be planning to come here and finish me off next. I'm worried now....she could be out there waiting as we speak

Toni indeed looks worried sick at this point

Grace - Are you leaving for Wentworth soon?

Grace - Yes, in a minute

Grace - If it makes you feel any safer we can give you a lift in this morning

Toni - Yes, that would help thanks. But what do I do after that? What about when I leave later this evening?

Grace - Well with any luck we will have caught her by then

Toni - And if you haven't?

Grace- If we haven't then I suggest if you've got someone you can go and stay with for a while, ask them if they would be willing to have you. It would be safer than staying here by yourself

Toni nods her head

Toni - Good advice Inspector, thanks

Grace- But try not to worry, we have a nationwide manhunt underway for her

Toni - Nationwide? Do you really think she could have gone interstate?

Grace - Well wouldn't you if you'd just killed people? Well whether she has or not, she can run but she can't hide, at least not forever

Wentworth

Judy, Kath, and Pixie are sat together in the dining room

Judy - So I spoke to Thelma, she said that she and Donald would be happy to bring Chloe to the party tomorrow

Pixie - Oh how lovely!

Judy - I was worried they would say no, but thank god they didn't.It would hardly be much of a special day for Bea if she couldn't have her granddaughter there with her

Kath - I hope Bea won't mind that we are doing this for her. Not everyone likes a big deal on birthdays, I know I don't.

Kath smiles sadly

Kath - A friend organized a surprise party for me once too on my birthday. I didn't want a fuss that day

Judy - And how did you feel when she did that?

Kath - Ok, I have to admit I was happy and touched that Rita did that for me. I must admit it was a lovely surprise

Judy - There you go then love, Bea will feel just as happy about us doing it for her as you did when it was done for you, I'm sure she will

Kath - Yes you're probably right

Judy - And we will make sure it's a great party for her. Seeing Chloe will be a special surprise for her

Kath - The surprise at mine was a male stripper!

Judy laughs

Judy - A male stripper? You've gotta be kidding eh!

Kath - Nope, he was none other than the chef we had here at the time, Jason. Of course, Rita arranged plenty of booze too

Judy - That's one thing we can't have this time, I promised Mr Moran

Kath - I know, it's for the best we stick to it this time. Didn't stop us all from getting drunk at my party though

Judy - That sure sounds like some great party!

Kath smiles

Kath - Yes it was. Rita really made an effort...

Kath looks sad

Kath - Sad how the day ended though...

Judy - The bomb right? Yeah I heard about that, Lorna told me

Kath quietly eats her breakfast and looks sad

Pixie - Hey Jude, where is Bea this morning anyway? Usually, she joins us for Breakfast

Judy - Beats me, no sign of Coulson either

Bea is with Ros in the shower block

She stands to look angrily at Ros

Ros - Come on Bea, whatever it was you wanted to see me about, spit it out will you? I am hungry and I want to go and have breakfast

Bea - I wanted to tell you how disappointed I am in you Coulson

Ros - Oh really? And perhaps you would like to tell me what you are disappointed about?

Bea - You're a smart woman, I'll let you work it out for yourself

Ros (slight mocking tone) - At a guess, I'd say its to do with the drugs i sold to Shanice

Bea - Yes well done, I knew you could get there

Ros - Well I don't know why you're so bothered about it Bea...

Bea - You know I hate drugs!

Ros - Yes, but this is only Shanice we're talking about. Who cares? If it makes her happy then maybe she will spend less time annoying everyone

Bea - We both know that Battersby won't be the only one you sell to, so don't even try to pretend otherwise

Ros - I'm not pretending anything Bea. Of course, I will be selling to the others too! Anyone who wants it!

Bea - And what about the younger inmates? I suppose it's ok for them to get hooked on crap too?

Ros - It's only a bit of weed, fairly harmless really...

Bea - Don't treat me for a fool, Roslyn! I know you won't plan on stopping at Weed....and in any case, Weed is still bad enough anyway. I don't want any drugs in this prison

Ros - In that case why don't you ban fags and booze too? They are drugs too you know Bea!

Bea - Stop trying to be Smart!.... The point is I want you to stop this right away. I don't expect any better from Simpson, but I do expect better from you. I don't know what has gotten into you but I don't like it at all

Ros - You can stick it, Bea. Simpson and I won't stop just on your say so!

Bea is beginning to get angry

Bea - Look I am trying to be patient here Coulson! I am trying to give you a chance to do the right thing because I know you are not yourself right now. But whatever's got into you, I want to help you with it because we're friends...

Ros cuts her off

Ros - We're not friends Bea

Bea - Look love, I know we haven't really been getting on so great since you returned to H Block, but I really would like to change that now. You're not yourself love, you're acting out of character. The Ros I know would never deal drugs, you used to be such a good kid.....

Bea is angry

Ros smirks

Bea is red in the face with rage as she slaps Ros in the face

Ros coolly slaps Bea back

Bea goes for Ros and they scrap

Bea - No one bloody hits me!

Vera and Sue run in to break it up

Toni and Janice are in the staff room

Toni - So now it seems she has murdered three people...

Janice - I would say I am surprised, but in all honesty, I am not. Nothing surprises me about Clements anymore

Toni - Yes, but while she is out there on the loose I am scared she will target me

Janice - She could just as likely target Richard and me too, she hates us both...Vera to come to that, yes she hates Vera too. Even Sue could be a target now for coming to the police with Vera and me as a witness to the attempt on Vera's life

Toni - God I hope Grace catches her today! In the meantime, I am scared to go back to that flat alone!

Janice - You can come and stay with Richard and i

Toni - Thanks, to tell you the truth I was hoping you would offer. Richard won't mind will he?

Janice -No of course he won't. He's a very nice man and always likes to help people. He would be angry if I didn't ask you to stay knowing how scared you are feeling right now

Bea and Ros are stood before Bob. Vera and Sue are present

Bob - Ok you two, who would like to tell me what caused the fight between you?

Bea and Ros stand silent

Bob - Well?

Bea - It was just a silly disagreement, nothing important

Bob looks at Ros

Bob - Coulson? Do you have anything to say?

Ros - Bea thought I stole her deodorant but she got it wrong as usual

Bob - You'll both go to solitary for 24 hours

Vera (outraged)- Is that all? They should both do at least 48 hours! Especially Smith with her outrageous record for violence!

Bob - My decision has been made Miss Bennett! Please take the prisoners up now

Vera - Can you manage on your own Sue? i need to stay behind for a word with the governor

Sue - Yes, I'm pretty sure I'll manage them both fine...come along you two

Bea rolls her eyes with annoyance as the three of them leave

Bob and Vera are left alone

Bob - Well what is it, Miss Bennett?

Vera - I suggest we cancel Smith's surprise party now! She can't be given such a privilege after fighting with Coulson! I never approved of the idea anyway, Prisoners shouldn't be allowed parties, and especially no surprise parties, it's a silly idea! Any governor who allows such parties for the women is far too soft and shouldn't be a governor in my view!

Bob - I heard that when you were governor you allowed Rita Connors and the women to arrange a surprise party for Kath, how come you allowed that if you disapprove of parties for the women so much Miss Bennett? It's a little hypocritical don't you think?

Vera looks embarrassed

Vera - Yes thanks for reminding me of that! That was a regrettable moment of weakness that I have tried to forget ever since. That was the day we had that awful bomb blast here!

Bob - Just don't stand there and berate me for something you have in the past allowed yourself, Miss Bennett, because I won't stand for that!

Vera - Well anyway the two situations were different. Maxwell hadn't just landed herself in the pound for fighting for a start. If she had I would have canceled the party immediately!

Bob - I will not cancel the party. Smith will do her 24 hours and the party will go ahead as planned tomorrow

Vera - Outrageous! Absolutely outrageous!

Bob - It was a minor scrap that's all, no one got hurt

Vera - Only because Sue and I stopped it in time! Who knows how far it could have gone if we hadn't turned up when we did?

Bob - You're blowing this far too much out of proportion. I stand by what I said, it was not serious enough to warrant ruining Smith's birthday, I believe that 24 hours is sufficient enough punishment in this case

Vera - She doesn't deserve a party anyway! The woman's a criminal and the worst one here!

Bob - A bit of compassion once in a while is not a bad thing

Vera - It's a joke, that's what it is!

Bob - You've made your point. I'm still allowing the party to go ahead, but thanks for your views. You can return to work now unless there is anything else you'd like to talk to me about?

Judy - Well I sure would like to know where Bea got to...

Spider - Yeah well who said you could have the press, Bryant?

Judy - Someone has to do it don't they until Bea gets here

Spider - Well maybe someone else would have liked a go, ever thought of that Bryant?

Kath - Oh shut up Simpson! It really doesn't matter who works the press while Bea is away!

Judy - That's right Simpson, it doesn't!

Spider - Yeah yeah..... well how come you ain't out seeing to your Vegetable patch today Bryant?

Judy - There wasn't much needed doing today so I'm in here for a change

Pixie - And we're all glad to have you, Judy!

Pixie looks around the room

Spider (sarcastic) - Yes, I think I might wet myself with excitement!

Vera arrives

Vera - Hard at work as usual I see...

Judy - We'll crack on Miss Bennett, we just had to have a silly little debate about who works the press while Bea is away that's all

Vera - Yes, that is just about the level you women are at mentally isn't it! Barely above kindergarten!

Kath - We were all wondering where Bea is Miss Bennett!

Vera - Smith is in the pound, where she belongs, along with Coulson! The two of them were scrapping like the pair of animals they are!

Judy looks fretful

Judy - Hell....how long is Bea going to be there?

Vera - Oh, only 24 hours that's all Bryant! Moran is too soft, I made it clear that if I were governor it would be 48 hours at the very least but probably longer!

Judy - What about the party?

Vera - Oh don't worry Bryant! Your stupid little surprise party will still take place. Like I say Moran is soft! If it were down to me there would be no party!

Judy sighs with relief

Vera turns to go as Spider calls out with a smirk

Spider- Hey Miss Bennett, one thing before you go!

Vera turns back to look at Spider

Vera - Yes Simpson, what is it?

Spider - Remember that time when, as governor, you allowed Connors to organize a party for Maxwell? That was a real disaster, wasn't it! Dwyer arrived to find Vic and me scrapping, Jason the cook stripping for the gals..... and even alcohol! Then to top it off I think I was taken away for having drugs planted in my cell. No wonder you are so against surprise parties Miss Bennett, it must bring back horrible memories for you!

Vera (angry)- Shut up Simpson!

Spider - Then there was the bomb wasn't there.....just to finish the party off with a bang!

Kath - Yes shut up Simpson...we don't need to be reminded about that

Spider (mocking) - Oh what's the matter Maxwell, still miss your old mate Connors do you?

Vera - Shut up and get on with your work!

Vera leaves the laundry

Kath looks at Spider with disgust

Kath - You're sick Rose, do you know that? Raking all that stuff up again, you know that myself, Lorna, Ronnie, and a few others who were here when that happened still have painful memories of that day

Spider - Yeah, good thing Lorn's on kitchen duty right now eh and not here to hear all this, I know she still misses her mate, Tina!

Kath - That's right, she does, and if I hear of you bringing the bomb up in front of her and upsetting her you'll have me to deal with

Spider -I'm dead scared Maxwell!

Kath - You will be if I have to deal with you...and the names Fletcher now, not Maxwell!

Spider - Save the threats, you don't scare me MAXWELL!

Judy - Maybe the two of us together will? If Kath has to deal with you for upsetting anyone, especially my old friend Lorna, you can be sure I will be there to help her!

Vera is on the phone in the staff room

Vera - Is that Mrs Raymond....hello, this is Miss Bennett from Wentworth.......I think there is something you should know about....yes, well it concerns the way Mr Moran runs this prison!

Spider is out on skip as Shanice chases her up the corridor

Shanice - Hey Spiser!....

Spider - It's Spider, not Spiser

Shanice - Listen Spi mate, I need some more stuff. I had a bleeding great time on it! I'm dead grateful to Rozzy and you!

Spider - Of course, you can have some more Shanice! Just so long as you can pay up for it?

Shanice- Yeah, no problem there Spi!

Spider - Good...come to my cell later and I'll have some for you

Shanice - Oh cheers Spiser!, you and Rozzy are the best!

Shanice gives Spider a slap on the back

Shanice - Well suppose I best get back to the laundry, see ya back there in a bit!
