Bea - I can't feel sympathy for Slater considering what she got up to before. I'm more concerned over whether Webster is going to challenge me for top dog or not

Kelly - You left the dining room pretty fast back then granny

Ailsa - What do you expect? I lost my appetite the second I saw you walk in

Kelly - I'm so sorry

They promptly get up to move

Pam loses her temper

Vera is in the doorway

Pam nods her head and laughs like a schoolgirl

Eileen and Ted are in Eileen's office as Marina is shown in

Eileen - Take a seat Marina

Marina - Thank you

Eileen - This is Ted, he is my new head of department

Marina - Pleased to meet you, Ted!

Ted - Eileen tells me you are going to be our governor at the new prison?

Marina smiles with delight

Marina - Oh yes, I did Mrs Raymond a favor in return for the governor's job

Marina looks at Eileen

Eileen - The new prison will go ahead now as we wished

Colleen is sitting up in a hospital bed as Geoff arrives

He bends over to kiss her

Geoff - How are you feeling love?

Colleen - Awful

Geoff - I'm not surprised, you took one hell of a beating. Those women can be a bunch of savages at times

Colleen - It wasn't the women, Donovan beat me up. She was behind the whole riot

Geoff looks shocked

Geoff - Donovan did? No surely not

Eileen and Ted are alone again, both laughing their heads off

Eileen - That silly woman really thinks she will be the governor!

Ted - I almost feel sorry for her, it seems so very cruel to string her along!

Eileen - Yes well I suppose it is. She did do rather a good job for us, but I agree with you entirely. Your sister is much more suitable for the role

Ted - Yes she is

The kitchen

Chef is running around looking flustered as Pam pours a cup of tea. She looks over her shoulder to make sure chef isn't looking and then slips her sleeping pills into the tea

Chef talks to Lorna

Chef - NO NO NO!.... LOOK THAT IS NOT THE RIGHT WAY TO DO IT, HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I HAD TO TELL YOU THAT!

Pam approaches with the cup of tea

Lorna and Chef are fast asleep on the kitchen floor as Pam leaves in a hurry

Janice is at Gordon's alone as the phone rings. She answers

Janice - Hello?

Ted is on the other end

Ted - Janice it's Ted

Janice looks surprised

Ted - The very one

Janice-How did you get this number?

Ted - Eileen gave it to me

Janice - And why did she do that?

Ted -I told her I would talk to you about trying to get you to come back to the prison service

Ted smiles

Pam - Now what?

Janice- My father isn't in right now I'm afraid

I love him very much and I want a future with him. Yes, it is true I was indeed a criminal once but I put that behind me a long time ago. Librarian - How is Jim love? Any improvement?

Kath - No if anything he has got worse. I know it sounds selfish to say this but its a relief to come here just to have a break from being in the house with him

Librarian - That's understandable, depression can't be an easy thing to deal with

Kath - If he could only find some kind of job I feel sure that would help him
