Marina has Joan pinned to the wall

Marina moves in on Joan

Kate is listening in the corridor as Joan screams out in pain

Roo is in the governor's office with Colleen

Colleen - How are you, Morgan?

Roo shrugs

Roo - Ok I suppose

Colleen - Your time in the pound is up

Roo - Shame that I was enjoying the peace and quiet

Colleen - Do you have anything to say about the damage you've caused?

Roo =- Like what?

Colleen - Like you're sorry might be a start

Roo (sarcastic and insincere) - I'm sorry

Colleen - I'm well aware that Ferguson was pulling most of the strings but you helped her. Thanks to you Gaffney and Officer Finley are dead and Geoff has lost a leg

Roo looks slightly remorseful

Roo - That was all Fergusons doing, I didn't do any of it...

Colleen - Yes, yes I know. But as I say, you were helping her

Roo - I never thought she'd go as far as she did

Colleen - And when she did what did you do, stand back and let it happen?

Roo - What else could I bloody do? She wouldn't have listened if I had tried to stop her

Joan is sprawled out on the floor as Marina stands over her

Marina - That's just for starters, there's plenty more to come

Marina leaves the cell and finds Kate standing in the corridor

Marina - Yes, what do you want?

Kate smirks calmly

Kate - Nothing, I was just passing time that's all

Marina - Get about your business and forget what you just heard

Kate nods her head

Kate - Yes no problem, I never interfere in business that doesn't concern me

Marina nods her head

Marina - Good

Marina carries on by

Kate enters the cell where Joan is struggling to her feet

Kate - Here let me help you

Kate tries to help but Joan pulls away angrily

Joan - I can manage

Kate - Don't be silly, look at the state of you

Kate goes to help Joan again, Joan snaps

Joan - I SAID I CAN MANAGE!

Joan staggers to her feet and makes her way to the bed, she sits doubled over in pain

Kate - You need a friend

Joan looks at her with a sneer

Joan - Volunteering are ya?

Kate - Yes, why not

Joan - I don't need any friends, least of all you

Kate - Suit yourself, but I could come in useful believe me

Kate leaves the cell and Joan sits looking thoughtful

Bruce is in the staffroom as Marina enters

Bruce - Hey I'll make you a coffee, I remember how you like it

Marina - Thanks

Marina takes a seat and lights a cigarette

Bruce makes her coffee and takes it over

Bruce - So, had a go at Ferguson yet?

Marina - I might have, what's it to you?

Bruce - Just want you to know that if you need any help I'm here

Marina - I don't need any help thanks

Bruce - It's just Sean was my best friend you know...

Marina - Yes Bruce I know, shame you didn't do more to help him at the time isn't it

Bruce looks hurt

Bruce - Hey what could I do? Ferguson and Morgan had guns

Marina - You should have done more for him, Bruce, I'm sure you could have

Bruce looks upset

Bruce -There was nothing I could do like I say. You weren't there and you're being way too harsh

Marina softens a little

Marina -Yeah ok, I'm sorry. I'm blaming you when it's Ferguson and Morgan's fault... I'd like to talk to Morgan now

Bruce - Yeah well she was let out of the pound this morning

Marina - They kept her there longer than Ferguson, any idea why? I mean if Ferguson was the ringleader and Morgan was the sidekick why would they leave her in there longer?

Bruce - Apparently she spat in Inspector Grace's face when he went to interview her

Roo is smoking in a corner, the wind blows her wild red hair around

Kate approaches

Kate - Windy isn't it?

Roo - Yeah...

Kate - Mind if I have a word?

Roo takes a puff on her fag and blows the smoke in Kate's face

Kate - You must be devastated by the death of your friend Gaffney

Roo chuckles

Roo - Do me a favour sweetheart, Gaffney was no friend of mine

Kate - But you both teamed up when you needed to

Roo - Yeah suppose so, gotta in a place like this

Kate - I do so agree, but what will you do now? You'll be rather vulnerable don't you think?

Roo looks at Kate

Marina and Bruce enter the yard through one of the doors

Marina - Which one's Morgan? Point her out to me

Bruce looks around the courtyard and spots Roo

Bruce - That's her over there

Marina glances over at Roo

Colleen is on the phone in her office

Colleen - Vera? What a pleasant surprise! How's life down at Wentworth?

Vera is on the other end from the Wentworth staff room

Vera - Much the same as ever, we have a new governor now though

Colleen - Yes I heard, how is she settling in?

Vera - Ok I suppose....but between you and me, I strongly felt that Meg should have got the job

Colleen - Yes, after all the year's she's loyally given the department she deserves promotion by now

Vera - Yes exactly!....and Mrs Clements can't know these women, as well as Meg, does, no one could

Colleen - Yes well listen Vera as nice as it is to hear from you I do have a lot to do today so is there a point to this call?

Vera - Yes, it's about young Josie. I'm calling on Smiths' behalf to ask how she is. You see Smith is keen to make sure she is doing ok and well....so am I really. I mean I know Lizzie would want us to keep an eye on her

Colleen - Yes I see. Well as far as I know Josie is doing ok. She is one of our quieter inmates, keeps herself to herself

Vera -Bea was concerned that she may have a drug habit?

Colleen - No, I've seen no evidence of that

Vera - So you feel that she is safe and has no major issues?

Colleen - Yes I believe so

Vera looks delighted

Vera - Oh good, I know this will put Smith's mind at ease!

Josie is in her cell as Footy and a gang arrive in the doorway

Bea - That's a relief, I do worry about her

Vera - I know, I can tell

Bea - I wish I was there to keep an eye on her, I promised her mother I would

Vera - I know it's hard Bea, all I can do is keep in touch with Mrs Powell and keep asking her for updates for you

Josie is laid out on the floor badly beaten and crying

Footy kneels beside her and lifts her chin up

Footy - Next time you want something make sure you have the cash for me, got it?

Josie nods her head

Footy - Good!

Footy spits in her face and gets up

Footy - Come on girls, I think she's learned her lesson

Footy and the others leave the cell

Josie gets up and lays on her bed as Kate arrives

Josie - What the hell do you want?

Kate - Well I heard your screams, I could hardly carry on past without checking if you were ok

Josie - Bloody nosy you aren't ya!

Kate - Oh well if you don't want my help perhaps I should go...

Josie - Yeah good idea

Kate - I just thought I could give you something for the pain that's all, but if you don't want it I shan't bother you

Kate turns to go as Josie jumps up and grabs her arm

Kate takes some pills out of her pocket

Kate - These are strong, they will give you a good high

Josie - How did you get hold of those?

Kate - The infirmary of course....being a trustee holds all kinds of benefits you know

Auntie Harriet is in a dark corridor mopping floors, she has a cigarette dangling out of her mouth and is quietly humming to herself

Archie Trimble sneaks up behind her and puts his arms around her waist

Archie - Got a kiss for me, darling?

Auntie Harriet - You'll get a smack in the face if you don't get off me

Archie - Playing hard to get as usual?

Auntie Harriet - What the bloody hell are you doing here anyway?

Archie - They sent me to help ya didn't they

Roo is sitting in a corner as Marina approaches

Marina - Morgan?

Roo - Yeah...who wants to know?

Marina - I ask the questions Morgan, not you

Roo - Sure love...

Roo (sarcastic)- Gee sorry love...

Marina - Get outside now, I want to talk to you in private

Roo starts to casually leave so Marina gives her a shove to hurry her along

Back with Harriet and Archie

Harriet - This time we split it down the middle, 50/50.

Archie - Yeah sure, sounds fair enough to me

Harriet - If I even suspect you're tricking me out of my fair share that's the end I mean it. Understood?

Bruce is listening around a corner

Marina and Roo are alone in a corridor

Marina paces the corridor for a moment before turning around and hitting Roo in the face

Roo - Ah you bitch!

Marina hits her again

Marina - Each time you fail to show me an acceptable level of respect I will keep hurting you, got it?

Roo - Yeah I got it

Marina hits her a third time

Marina - You left something out, try again

Marina -Good that's better

Marina glances at Roo's face, she has a split lip and blood trickling down her face

Marina hands her a tissue

Marina - Clean yourself up, you look a mess

Roo dabs the blood with her tissue

Marina - I'm Mr Finlay's fiance and you have some serious explaining to do if you want to stay alive

Roo rolls her eyes

Roo - Not again, I had all this with Grace, then with Powell. How many more times do I have to go over it?

Marina gets into Roo's face and puts her hands around her throat, Roo's eyes widen in alarm

Geoff is sitting up in a bed as Colleen enters the room, she leans over and kisses him

Colleen - Hello darling, how are you feeling today?

Geoff smiles cheerfully

Geoff - I'm feeling fine Col, just fine. I've lost a leg that's all and the dr has explained everything about the prosthetic leg. Life will go on as usual and there is hardly any need to get depressed about it

Colleen looks delighted

Colleen - I'm glad to see you coping with it so well. I was worried you wouldn't, you seemed so down last time I was here

Geoff - I was just being silly, self-pity gets you nowhere. I'm still alive and that's the main thing

Back with Roo and Marina

Roo - So I never thought she would go that far and when she did I was shocked

Marina - Really? I heard that you egged her on?

Roo is silent

Marina - Well did you?

Roo looks fearful

Roo - Look ok a little, but I was scared too. I wanted to keep on good terms with her in case she turned on me too. Look I was a coward ok

Marina - Yeah, too right you were. I can tell you're a coward Morgan

Roo - What are ya gonna do now?

Marina -I should kill you it's no less than you deserve...

Marina pauses for a second

Marina - But I'm going to let you live....only on one condition

Roo - What condition?

Marina - You work for me from now on, you do everything I tell you to do...I want to destroy Ferguson and you're going to help me

Roo - Sure Miss Donovan, there is no love lost between Ferguson and i

Marina - Ok you may go for now.... I'll come and find you when I want you to start work. I will give you your instructions

Roo nods her head

Roo - Yes Miss Donovan

Roo leaves

Colleen is talking to the dr

Colleen - Geoff seems very positive today, I was worried he would be low again. It's a relief to see him coming to terms with it so well

The dr looks troubled

The dr - I'm sorry Mrs Powell but I'm afraid Geoff is far from coming to terms with it

Colleen - But he seems so much better

Dr - Yes, that's down to the drugs we're giving him. We were so worried about him we decided to put him on drugs to lift his mood. Frankly, we are fearful about taking him off them again at the current time

Colleen - I see....what happens now then?

Dr - We have to keep him on them for the time being but drugs are of course never a long-term solution to anything.

Colleen - When will he be fitted with the prosthetic leg?

Dr - Very soon....and we can only hope he takes to it quickly. If he doesn't and he has to stay on the antidepressants we may have to consider combining that with therapy

Colleen looks troubled

Marina is with Bruce

Bruce - Did you talk to Morgan?

Marina - I did yes

Bruce - And?

Marina - And what?

Bruce - How did it go?

Marina - That's my business...but let's just say I intend to make full use of her. She will make amends for her part in what Ferguson did

Bruce - Sounds good to me....hey I thought you'd like to know, two of the prisoners have a money-making scheme going. I heard them discussing it. I know how you like to know what's going on so that you can take your cut

Marina - Indeed I do, you were right to tell me. What have they got planned?

Bruce - They will be making prison hooch. They had it going on once before and were making a packet from it

Weissman smiles at her warmly

Beth sits down

Richard is in his office as Janice is shown in by Toni

Toni - This is Janice Raymond Mr Clements

Richard - Yes, of course, take a seat Janice

Sandra - Maybe you should let her...in fact maybe you should provoke her into it

Kath looks shocked

Kath - Eh?

Sandra - Provoke her in front of a room full of witnesses and then let her beat you up

Sandra - Why not? The bruises will heal after a while...and Smith will be in solitary out of your hair

Kath - Yeah and when she gets out again she'll come after me again

Sandra shakes her head

Sandra - With what I have planned for Smith she will be a wreck by the time she gets out of solitary. I just need to keep her there long enough to do it and what better way than if she beats you up in an apparently unprovoked attack? I'm sure you could wind her up in the rec room, just bring up her daughter, I've heard that does the trick. Whisper to her so no one else in the room can hear what you're saying. Smith will come out of it looking crazy and you'll be the victim

Kath smiles

Kath - I'm beginning to like the idea Mrs Clements... it's just like you say, the bruises will heal after a while
