Joan is restrained and taken out in handcuffs as Colleen rushes into the room. Joan and Colleen come face to face in the doorway and Colleen gives her a look of pure hatred before carrying on past.
Dwyer arrives too
Geoff is slumped against the window being held up by Grace and Kate as she rushes over
Colleen - Oh god...he needs help. Somebody hurry up and do something
Grace - The Ambulance is on its way
Bruce is kneeling beside Margo on the ground, she is bleeding heavily
Bruce - Gaffney needs help too, she's been shot
Margo (weak) - Don't bother about me, I reckon i'm a goner
Bruce - You probably saved us all Gaffney, Ferguson would have killed the lot of us if you hadn't intervened
Margo chuckles
Margo - Yeah who would have thought it, me dying a hero eh! Real turn up for the books that one
Colleen can see that Geoff is being well looked after by Kate, Dwyer, and Grace so she goes to Margo and takes over from Bruce sitting with her
Colleen - Hey come on Gaffney, what's with all this talk of dying eh? Help will be here in a minute
Margo - Fat lot of good it will do me, I've had it I tell ya...
Margo laughs sadly
Margo - I don't even mind that much, maybe it's time for me to go. I've felt more and more bitter and angry with life as the years have gone by, nothing left to look forward to...I never used to be the way I became ya know Mrs Powell, I was nicer once when I still had some hope left in me that my life could be more than a complete mess up
Colleen - Hey come on Gaffney, we all have hope for the future
Margo shakes her head defiantly
Margo - Na, not me. My times up and like I say I don't mind, I'm ready for it
Margo has tears in her eyes
Margo - We could have made it ya know Mrs Powell, Wayne, and i. We could have, but that rotten bastard called life was set against us from the start. We gave it a go but we made a bloody pig's ear of it as usual. Should have known better than to expect any different really. He was a decent man my Wayne but god was he a walking disaster with it!....maybe he's waiting for me up there now eh? If he is I'll give him a bloody good bashing for being such a stupid moron!...then I'll give him a bloody good hug too, tell the stupid bastard how much I've missed him
Margo stops breathing. Colleen delicately covers her over and steps back looking sad
Judy is still stood in shock
Jock - Well lassie?
Anthony - Yes come on, where are your manners?
Judy - No way, I am not having you in my home, you can just leave right now, I don't know what the hell you came here for but you're not welcome
Judy goes to close the door as Anthony stops her
Anthony - Don't be rude Bryant, my uncle came a long way to see you, he has something important he wants to say to you
Judy - Yeah well he can just say it right here on the landing...and then piss off again!
Judy looks at Jock
Judy - Whatever you have to say to me make it quick, I'll give you two minutes
Jock chuckles
Jock - I thought you'd have a bit more time for your old friend Jock. It's been a longtime Bryant, we have plenty of catching up to do
Advertisement
Judy - Just say what you have to say and go
Anthony takes Judy by surprise by grabbing her and pushing her into the flat, Jock follows in in his wheelchair
Colleen and Bruce watch anxiously as Geoff is carried out on a stretcher
Grace - He's in the best hands now Mrs Powell
Colleen and Bruce watch as Margo's body is carried out in a body bag
Bruce - She saved our lives you know, put herself at risk to save us. Who would have thought it eh? Just when you think you have the measure of someone they go and surprise you
Colleen smiles sadly
Colleen - Oh I dunno if it is so surprising really. There was a nice person inside her once, i remember it myself. Leaves you to wonder what could have become of her if life had dealt her a better hand doesn't it eh...sometimes I know just how she felt, I've felt like giving up trying myself at times
Colleen looks sad for a moment and then pulls herself together
Colleen - Right, I'd best get off to the hospital with Geoff, I want to be there with him
Colleen leaves the office
Back with Judy, Jock, and Anthony
Jock - Now this is more like it Bryant, better than that drafty corridor
Judy (angry) - What the hell do you think you're doing? How dare you barge in here like that, I want you both out now!
Anthony lights a fag
Anthony - My uncle wants to discuss a few things with you, I told you
Judy - Like what?
Jock - Like why I'm in this bloody thing for the rest of my life for a start
Judy - That's your own fault
Jock shakes his head
Jock - I don't think it is lassie, I think it's your fault
Anthony - Yes and after my uncle told me the story I think it's your fault too
Judy - Well I'm sorry you feel that way! Now, will you please piss off!
Anthony shakes his head and walks around the apartment, examining his surroundings
Anthony - Nice place eh Miss Bryant?
Judy - Yeah well it does me well enough
Jock - Wouldn't mind a bit of this myself I can tell you
Judy - I can give you a few numbers if you like. I believe there are a few nice properties across the river..I'm sure you could get a good deal on something. Property sales were always your specialty I seem to remember
Jock looks angry
Jock - Don't get bloody smart Bryant, just don't
Judy spots Anthony picking up an expensive-looking ornament
Anthony - This looks like it cost a bit?
Judy - It was a gift from a friend, would you mind putting it back, please
Anthony lets it slip out of his hands, it smashes across the floor
Anthony - Oh dear I look what I've gone and done! Butterfingers!
Judy picks up the phone
Judy - You have 10 seconds to get out of here before I call the police
Anthony takes the phone off her
Anthony - You won't be calling anyone Miss Bryant...now sit down!
Anthony pushes the terrified looking Judy backward across the room and into a seat
Anthony turns to Jock
Antony - Over to you uncle
Jock takes a casual puff on his cigarette and gives Judy a grin
Shanice and Norman are once again on the fosters
Shanice - Do you think she will be any good? She didn't seem keen
Norman - If she wants to keep a roof over her head she will be good and it's as simple as that....she'd better stop asking questions too. She asks too many for my liking
Advertisement
Shanice - Yes and that's the other thing...do you think she believed any of it?
Norman - Who cares if she did or not? What can she do about it anyway?
Shanice - Yeah true, nothing really I guess
Norman - Yeah right...nothing
Vicki is waiting in Wentworth's grounds as Cheryl is brought out to see her
Cheryl looks surprised and happy
Cheryl - Vic! What are you doing back here? Kath told me you moved to Adelaide with Simpson
Vicki - Yeah well that didn't work out did it
Cheryl looks at Vicki's black eye
Cheryl - I suppose Simpson gave you that did she?
Vicki nods her head and looks upset
Vicki - I had to leave her, I really thought we could have made a go of it before she started hitting me
Cheryl - That bloody bitch! I knew she was no good for you
Vicki - Spid's a good person deep down inside, I know she is
Cheryl - I'll have to take your word on that
Vicki - Trust me she is, I saw the side to her no one else ever see's. She doesn't let anyone else see it
Cheryl - Yeah well I'm glad you've left her, you deserve better
Vicki - Yeah.....hey do you know anything about where Kath went? I turned up at her house and she's sold up to Shanice and moved away
Cheryl looks at Vicki with surprise
Cheryl - Sold up and moved away?
Vicki - Yeah, Shanice bought the house off her and now she's renting out the rooms
Cheryl - Kath's back in here Vic...and she certainly hasn't sold the house
Cheryl and Vicki look at each other with concern
Vicki - I knew that woman was pulling the wool over my eyes, I had a feeling
Cheryl - That Shanice has made Kath's life a misery from day one
Vicki nods her head
Vicki - And she's still doing it and Kath doesn't even know about it. What will we do Cheryl?
Cheryl = We won't let Shanice get away with it, no way. I'll talk to Kath...
Vicki - Hell....she's given me a room there. I didn't feel comfortable about it anyway
Cheryl - Don't go back there Vic, when you leave here go somewhere else
Vicki - Where? I have nowhere
Cheryl - I can give you a few addresses, a few mates of mine can put you up
Vicki - Thanks, Chez!.. I have to go back and get my stuff though
Cheryl - Get it and leave fast, don't hang around
Vicki nods her head
Vicki Yeah I won't
Back at Judy's flat
Jock - Do you have any idea what it's like to be trapped in this bloody thing?
Judy - Do you expect me to feel sorry for you?
Jock - I don't expect anything from a dyke like you Bryant. But you will be sorry when I'm finished with you, real sorry
Judy - I've had enough of this
Judy goes to get up as Anthony pushes her back into her chair
Anthony - Manners Bryant! My uncle hasn't finished yet
Judy - What the hell do you want from me?
Jock - Money Bryant, I want money. Lots of it
Judy - Oh no way, you think I'm going to give you any money? You got enough out of me last time
Jock - Yeah well now I want more
Judy - Keep dreaming you bastard!
Jock - Think of what might happen to Brady if you don't do as I ask
Anthony - Yeah and let's not forget Mr Wallace...or then there's Lori and little David
Jock - Being deaf he wouldn't even hear us coming would he
Jock chuckles evilly
Judy - You pair of bastards! You'll burn in hell before I let you hurt any of those people
Jock - You're like a broken record Bryant
Anthony - What's the big deal anyway? You're loaded, aren't you?
Jock - 60 grand should do it
Judy - 60 Grand? You've gotta be kidding?
Jock - You should know me well enough by now Bryant, I never kid
Anthony - It's just a drop in the ocean for you isn't it?
Judy shakes her head
Judy - Sheila and I have debts to pay and Sheila's last few albums haven't sold as well as we hoped. I've not got the money for you I'm sorry you've had such a wasted trip
Anthony - Oh not to worry..we'll make do with the money from the concert instead
Judy looks horrified
Kath is in her cell as Cheryl arrives
Kath - Who was your visitor? Was it anyone interesting?
Cheryl - it was Vic
Kath (surprised) - Vic? She's back in Melbourne?
Cheryl - Yes, she's left Spider. Seems Simpson was knocking her about a bit
Kath - Blast! I actually thought Simpson was going to look after her, what a fool I was to trust her
Cheryl - Yeah well look, Kath, Vic told me something and you need to promise me you'll keep calm ok?
Kath looks at Cheryl with an intrigued look on her face
Exterior shot of Kath's house
A taxi pulls up outside and a shock of frizzy ginger hair can be seen emerging from the taxi. It's Spider
She looks at the house for a moment and then makes her way up the driveway
Inside Peter is in the kitchen as the bell goes. He goes to answer
A furious Kath is storming down the corridor as Cheryl follows her
Cheryl - What are you going to do Kath?
Kath - Put a stop to this of course, what else?
Cheryl - Please be sensible about it
Kath - I will be... I'll talk to Inspector Grace. What that bitch is doing is a crime and now at last I've got her
Kath stops for a second and gives Cheryl one of her cool, calm smirks
Kath - The bitch has done me a favour, now, at last, I'll have her just where I want her.....right back in here with me!
Back at Judy's flat and Judy looks livid
Judy - Can you stoop any lower? That money is for a good cause. It's going to help deaf kids
Jock - Trust me, Bryant, when it comes to me it will be going to a good cause too
Judy - Oh yeah? What's that then? The Jock Stewart line your own pockets, greedy son of a bitch fund?
Anthony - My uncle wants to walk again but he needs the money to pay for the operation
Jock - That's right. There is no way, no damn way, I am spending the rest of my life in this bloody thing Bryant. There's an operation I can have but I have to go to the states to have it
Judy - And you think I should pay for it?
Jock - Why not? You put me in this thing, you ruined my life Bryant
Judy - You ruined your own life
Anthony - Enough Bryant....all we want to hear from you is that you'll give us the money like a good girl
Jock - Then we won't have to hurt your wee lassie Lori...or your dear little grandson
Judy - You're disgusting do you know that..threatening a defenseless little kid
Jock - I look out for my own needs Bryant, always have....and right now I need to get to the states
Judy smiles at Jock
Judy - You reckon they will let you into the states with your record?
Anthony - You needn't worry about that, we have it all sorted
Jock - Yes, ever heard of fake passports Bryant? So the only problem left now is you and we will hurt your wee little grandson if you aren't prepared to do as you're told
Judy - You really are the biggest son of a bitch to ever walk the face of the earth
Jock grins
Jock - Like I say I look after my own needs first...so do we have a deal?
Judy glares at Jock with fury
Anthony - You want your grandson to stay safe right?
Judy reluctantly nods her head
Judy - We have a deal
Jock - Well done Bryant, I knew you'd be sensible about this....but don't get any thoughts about double-crossing me will you, because I wouldn't like that
Anthony - I wouldn't like it either. My uncle has been good to me over the years, a good role model
Judy looks angry and tearful
Judy - You'll get your money, it will just take a bit of time that's all. The concert hasn't even taken place yet
Anthony nods his head
Anthony - We appreciate that we can be patient
Anthony stands up
Anthony - We'll be in touch, don't go anywhere eh Bryant
Anthony opens the door for Jock. Jock gives Judy one last grin as he leaves. Judy watches them go with anger
She gets up and pours herself a drink. She is shaking, tearful
GATESLAM
PART 2
Judy is sitting down with her drink, she seems somewhat calmer now
Sheila emerges from the bathroom wearing a tiger print dressing gown
Judy - Nice bath love?
Sheila - Lovely thanks, that bath bomb Vince got me worked wonders on my aches and pains
Judy - That's good love
Sheila - Was there someone here while I was in the bath? I thought I heard voices
Judy - Oh that was just the telly
Sheila looks at the switched-off telly with a look
Judy - Oh well I switched it off again, the usual rubbish was on you know. Alison Carr was up to her usual tricks on Sons and Daughters
Sheila pulls a face
Sheila - I don't blame you for turning that off. It's not been the same since Rowena Wallace left. No wonder it's been axed. I do like Wayne though... Well I think I'll get an early night
Judy - Yes good idea, we have a lot to get done tomorrow for the concert
Sheila - It's gonna be great Jude, all that money for the deaf kids
Judy forces a smile
Judy - Yes it will be fantastic
Sheila is about to leave the room as she spots the broken ornament
Sheila - Hey what happened to that?
Judy - Oh I broke it by accident, it slipped through my fingers
Sheila - What a shame Jude! I know how much it meant to you
Judy smiles and tries to hide her anger
Judy - It's only a thing, its people who matter the most
Sheila - Yes, like the deaf kids
Judy - Yes just like them, love...
Sheila yawns
Judy - Go on get to bed before you drop, you look shattered love
Sheila - Night then Jude
Judy - Night love
Sheila makes her way into her bedroom
Left alone once again, Judy sits and begins to cry
Judy (to herself) - oh my god, what am I gonna do?
Spider is with Peter on the doorstep
Spider - Who are you? Where are Kath and Fletcher?
Peter - Previous owners, moved on now sorry
Peter goes to close the door as Spider prevents him
Spider - Hey wait a minute will ya, I haven't finished
Peter looks irritated
Peter - What is it? I have food cooking
Spider - You haven't had a young girl called Vicki come here have you? This is the only place I could think of, she was friends with Maxwell. I'm looking for her see
Peter - The pretty brunette girl? Yeah, she's staying here right now, out at the moment though. Don't know when she'll be back
Spiders eyes light up with delight
Spider - Can I wait here for her if that's ok?
Peter shrugs
Peter - yeah sure, come in
Kath is in the interview room with Inspector Grace
Kath - That woman is making a laughing stock out of all of us. She's sticking her finger up at the law time and again, I'd feel embarrassed if I were you. She already got away with attempted murder among many other things and now she's lining her own pockets by renting out mine and Jim's house while we're away. It's about time someone put a stop to it for good, she belongs in here with us. We pay for our crimes, why the hell shouldn't she?
Grace - Ok Maxwell calm down. I will go and investigate and if what you say is true we will have her
Kath - What I say is indeed true, I trust my source. When will you go? Tonight I hope
Grace - I've had a long bloody day down at Blackmoor so could do without it really
Kath - That woman needs to be stopped tonight before she ends up demolishing the house or something
Grace - I heard you won't be needing it for at least 3 years anyway so why worry tonight? It could wait until the morning
Kath - Jim and I still own that house, the fact we are both in prison is irrelevant, it's still our property and we may decide to sell it. It would be nice if it was in a reasonable condition to sell when the time comes. Given a chance, Battersby will reduce it to a pile of rubble
Grace - Ok ok ill get bloody on to it tonight Maxwell
Kath - Very good. She has got away with far too much for far too long
Spider is sitting in the lounge as Vicki arrives through the front door and claps her eyes on Spider
Vicki (surprised) - Spid?
Spider is sheepish
Spider - G'day Vic
Vicki - Why are you here?
Spider - Gee what kind of a question is that? I've come to see you of course. I was really upset when you left like that
Spider walks over to Vicki
Spider - I'd really love a hug, I know I don't deserve one right now but
Vicki reluctantly hugs her

Our Chaoz; Our Reality (Completed)
Everyone has their own reasons, be it past events, personality or simply company. But most at some point divulge themselves into videogaming, be it for entertainment or more compettitive reasons. In this year and age there are many genres of gaming, one specific genre though still holds on tight to the ledge it was pushed to trying to pull itself back up. MMORPGs were once the top of everybody's list, adventure, combat, storytelling and endless grind in one single game. It was a different life for most, as if a parallel world to our own. You could be a knight indulging yourself in combat, a mage expertly crafting spells of mass destruction or creation. A ranger exploring the land and hunting down prey, an assassin completing contracts and hording the spoils. A troll scamming children out of their hard earned 10 gold and making more hardcore players rage quit for the day. Or something else. Kyle was a simple player, he always picked the strangest classes or jobs and his characters almost looked the same. He played for the combat, he played for the grind and he played for his guild but above all he played for the story. Kyle is a roleplayer, one who enjoys the simple parts of this virtual life. Whether his guild was starting a war or ending one he'd always have his drammatic entrence or exit, his decleration of annihalition or demand of surrender. After all that? He divulged himself in the game's story, the interaction with NPCS (Non Player Characters) and their advanced AI. He went through many questlines, many tales of heroics and many more adventurers of legend but one thing always remained true with his character. Kyle absolutely loved to the play the villain. But when game turns reality, what will he and his guild of twisted personalities do?
