Janice is in the staffroom having a coffee when Colleen enters the room
Colleen - Have you seen Ian at all?
Janice - No? I thought you said you sent him home?
Colleen - I did but Pat is on reception and says he never left, he also hasn't signed out in the book
Janice - Well I haven't seen him
Colleen - If you do can you ask him why he is still on the premises?
Janice - Sure, will do
Ann is sitting watching tv as Meg arrives home
Ann - You're back early, I wasn't expecting you for a few hours yet
Meg - Yes well the dinner ended earlier than expected
Ann - I take it, it didn't go too well then?
Meg - Vera, and Maxwell in a room together? It was a disaster, I knew it would be
Ann - I just hope Mr. Fletcher realizes the risk he's taking getting involved with an ex-prisoner
Meg - I've no doubt he does....whatever you do you mustn't tell anyone, Ann. Jim swore me to secrecy I doubt he'd be too pleased if he knew I told you
Ann - Don't worry Meg I can keep a secret...but I'm surprised Vera was willing to
Meg - So was I quite frankly...anyway enough about that, did you see Paul today as you planned?
Ann nods her head
Ann (tearful) - It was awful Meg. He isn't coping in there, he looks so skinny, so pale. He tried so hard to put a brave face on it but I could tell it's destroying him in there. He won't cope with 25 years in that place
Meg - And you're still convinced Joan set him up?
Ann - Damn right I am. just like she set Jenny up to stop her making inquires
Meg - I believe Joan set him up too now. She killed Pippa and Marty
Ann - Why the change of heart Meg? You seemed convinced she didn't
Meg - She admitted it to me tonight....well she admitted she had Marty killed anyway
Ann (surprised) - You saw Ferguson tonight?
Meg - Yes, after I left Jim's. You see Maxwell finally made me see sense. It turns out Ferguson tried to set it up for her to miscarry her baby too, Maxwell was telling the truth I could tell. I finally realized the truth and went to confront Ferguson and she admitted she had Marty killed
Ann - So now that you finally realize the truth where do we go from here?
Meg has a cold, severe expression on her face
Meg - She isn't going to get away with it Ann, no way...I have a plan
Janice is wondering a corridor when she bumps into Ian
Janice - Colleen was looking for you you know, she wanted to know why you haven't left the building
Ian - I haven't left because I went to see Tucker to ask her why she has made up this lie about me
Janice - And was she any help?
Ian - No of course not, the little bitch
Janice - Well if I were you I'd leave now, you're not supposed to be here
Ian - I can't leave yet, I still have a bit of business to take care of
Suddenly Janice is grabbed from behind and a hand put over her mouth, by Kelly
Kelly holds a knife to her throat
Kelly - Mr Henderson and I want to have a little chat with you Jan. I'm sure you can spare us five minutes of your time can't you?

Kelly and Ian lead Janice along the corridor and up a flight of stairs.....
....The three of them arrive at the boiler room
Kelly - Isn't this cozy, just the three of us here like this
Janice - What the hell do you think you're playing at?
Ian - I know you set me up, Janice
Janice - That's total bullshit.
Ian - Webster here told me it was you who beat up tucker
Janice - So she's lying!
Kelly - No I'm not
Ian - Yes and I know I didn't beat her up, none of the women could have either so it had to be an officer
Janice - It was Di Hagen!
Ian looks shocked
Ian - It was Di?
Janice - Yeah, she was angry about Tucker lying about being paralyzed, she had to be her carer for weeks you know and it made her so mad she went and beat her up
Ian - How do you know it was Di?
Janice - She told me afterward, she was panicking worrying she'd lose her job
Ian - And you gave her the idea to pin it on me?
Janice - Not you exactly, I suggested she give Tucker a bit of encouragement to name another officer, I had no idea she would name you Ian I'm so sorry
Kelly - I believe you when you say Hagen beat up Brumby, cos I knew you had someone else with you. But it doesn't alter the fact you were in on it too and deliberately wanted to set Me Henderson up
Janice - This is simply a lie Ian, you must realize Webster hates me and would do anything to get at me
Ian looks at Kelly
Ian - Well that's certainly true
Kelly - Look she's the one lying not me! She set us both up on purpose!
Ian - I only have your word on it that she set you up, you could have attacked Connie Slater like she said you did
Kelly - I didn't!
Janice - Look Ian why don't we lock Webster back up and go and talk to Tucker right now? Get her to own up it was Hagen who beat her?
Ian - Yeah ok....come on Webster
Kelly is angry
Kelly - No way!....no bloody way!
Kelly grabs Janice and gets the knife around her throat
Kelly- Nows the time I finally pay you back for killing Tanya and my brother
Janice - Sure of that are you?
Janice elbows Kelly in the ribs and breaks free, Janice grabs Kelly's head and slams it into one of the boilers
Kelly - YOU SAVAGE BITCH!
Kelly goes for Janice with the knife again and they fight... Ian runs in and the three of them fight over the knife
Ian - GIVE US THE KNIFE WEBSTER!
Kelly - LIKE HELL I WILL! I TRIED TO HELP YOU TONIGHT HENDERSON AND YOU CHOOSE TO BELIEVE HER BULLSHIT OVER ME!
Ian gets the knife off Kelly and he and Janice overpower her
Ian - let's get you back to the pound
Kelly - Bastards the pair of you!
Spike and Brumby are in a dreary Blackmoor cell
Brumby - I'm gonna escape today ya know, got it all planned out, this time it can't fail
Spike - Oh get real Brumby! You say that every time and every time it does fail and you get more time. When will you learn to just do your time and get out the proper way!
Brumby - But this time it can't fail Spike! You should come with me too!
Spike - No way! I'm staying here!
Brumby- You wanna stay here with Craven and Leach making our lives hell then that's your choice, but I ain't sticking around a moment longer than I have to
Spike looks frustrated
Spike - Look Brumby please, just serve your sentence and get out the proper way. You keep on with these daft escape plans and you'll never get out....and one day you'll go too far and someone will get hurt or killed!
Brumby - Bull!
Spike - It's no bull, it's the truth, and deep down inside you know it. Why won't you listen to me?
Brumby smirks
Brumby - Cos I know what I'm doing that's why
Spike - One day you'll go too far and you'll remember this conversation and you'll wish you'd listened to me...
...Brumby lays on her bed staring at the ceiling with tears in her eyes
Brumby (to herself) - You were right as usual Spike
Suddenly the door opens and Ian and Janice enter the cell
Kelly is in the next cell as she hears Brumby cry out with pain
Kelly - YOU ALRIGHT IN THERE BRUM? WHAT ARE THOSE TWO BASTARDS DOING TO YA?
Janice has a hold on Brumby as Ian punches her in the stomach
Ian - You tell the screws Di bashed you got it? You tell them that she ordered you to lie!
Brumby - Yeah! yeah ok!
Janice lets her go
Ian - Make sure you do or I'll be back
Janice -We'll both be back
Brumby - Why the change of heart Raymond?
Janice - Shut up!
Ian - No I want to know what she means?
Brumby - I mean Raymond and Hagen both bashed me and wanted to set you up
Ian glares at Janice
Janice - Come on we still need one last word with Webster remember
Ian and Janice leave the cell and lock Brumby in
Kelly calls out again from her cell
Kelly - BRUMBY ARE YOU OK?
Janice and Ian open the cell door and enter
Janice - Tucker's fine Webster...now we want one final word with you
Kelly - What do you want now?
Ian - We want you to back Tucker up when she tells the governor that Hagen did it
Janice - Yes you must tell the governor that you heard Hagen do it. We want to make sure Ian can clear his name completely, the governor may not take Tucker's word as enough since she lied once
Kelly - Fine I'll lie for you...but we both know the truth don't we Janice
Janice and Ian leave the cell and lock the door
Janice - I don't know about you but I sure could do with a coffee...fancy one too?
Ian grabs Janice and throws her against the wall
Ian - Why did you try to set me up Jan?
Janice - I didn't...
Ian - Yes you did and I want to know why
Janice - Does it matter now? I'm willing to put it right now, aren't I?
Ian - Only because you were forced into it, you wouldn't have if Webster and I hadn't have got you alone tonight
Janice - Look Di and I had to get ourselves off the hook didn't we, it was nothing personal
Ian - Yes it was Personal Jan....I know you told her to accuse me specifically. I want to know why me and not Mr Brewer or Mrs Slattery or anyone else?
Janice chuckles
Janice - Slattery? be serious now that woman couldn't fight her way out of a paper bag without someone assisting her!
Ian - Then Mr Brewer? I'll ask you again why me after our history together?
Janice - If you really want to know I'll tell you....its because I know that's why
Ian looks confused
Ian - Know what?
Janice snarls at him
Janice - I know what Ballinger and King did to my child...and I know who helped them for a cut of the profits
Ian - I see...
Janice - You see? That's all you have to say, is it?
Ian looks guilty
Ian - Look Jan, I'm sorry I really am.
Janice - You can be as sorry as you like but it doesn't change the hatred I feel for you
Ian startles Janice by putting his hands around her throat
Ian - You can hate me all you like, but I'd advise you to keep it in your head. Any more attempts to get at me and you'll pay dearly
Janice - Oh I will, will I?
Ian - Yes Jan, you will
Exterior shot of Wentworth in daytime
Inside Brumby and Kelly are with Vera in the governor's office. Colleen is also present
Vera looks irate
Vera - I would like to know why you lied about it being Mr Henderson if it was actually Officer Hagen Tucker? I would also like to know why you waited until now to come forward, Webster?
Brumby - Mrs Hagen made me lie Miss...she said she'd hurt me again if I didn't
Vera looks at Kelly
Vera - And you Webster? Why did you wait until now to come forward
Kelly shrugs
Kelly - It had nothing to do with me really, I keep out of things that don't concern me
Vera - So why decide to come forward now?
Kelly - Brumby told me through the wall how guilty she felt about lying and she made me feel guilty too, I decided I should step forward alongside her. Together we decided to do the right thing eh Tucker
Brumby nods her head
Vera - Very admirable I'm sure
Bea is in the grounds with the skinhead thug
Thug - Murphy's at Blackmoor now, Winter confirmed it this morning
Bea looks delighted
Bea - Excellent news. Now I've got Murphy just where I want him
Thug - I still don't get what difference it makes if he is at Woodridge or Blackmoor?
Bea - It's simple. Woodridge doesn't take women, prisoners, Blackmoor does...and I need to see Len
Thug -But you're in here?
Bea grins
Bea - Not for much longer
Thug - Listen if you want Len fixed I can arrange that for you ya know
Bea shakes her head with a smirk
Bea - Oh no...oh no....when I want someone fixed I always see to it personally
Blackmoor Prison
Ann is in the governor's office as Len is shown in
Len - G'day Mrs Reynolds, I heard you were the governor here now. It's good to see you
Ann (frosty) - Frankly Len I don't feel the same way and I could do without the extra hassle of having to protect you from the other inmates
Len - I can look after myself I don't need protecting
Ann - The department doesn't agree. What with you being an ex screw you're clearly a target. That's why I have been ordered to place you in isolation
Len (angry) - Now look here Reynolds, I had just about enough of that at Woodridge! It's time i was treated like a normal prisoner
Ann - You're not a normal prisoner Len and you know that as well as I do. Anyway, my hands are tied by department orders, you must go to isolation
Len looks annoyed
Di is in the office with Vera and Janice
Di (angry) - I didn't touch Tucker
Vera - That's not what Webster and Tucker say
Di - They are both liars
Janice shakes her head
Janice - You really should own up Di....its the decent thing to do
Janice turns to Vera and sighs
Janice - Di confessed to me late last night that she did it
Vera - Really? Why didn't you say anything?
Janice - I was going to this morning but when I got in Tucker and Webster had already spoken to you, you see Di didn't tell me until very late last night, she felt so guilty she needed to unburden herself. I advised her to come clean
Di looks ready to explode
Di - You bloody bitch!
Di looks at Vera directly
Di - Raymond and I beat her together...and it was Raymond's idea to frame Henderson
Janice - Oh really Di! I know you're backed into a corner here but come on trying to drag me down with you? That's pure spite Di...I had absolutely nothing to do with it, Vera
Vera looks fed up
Vera - I'm just about sick of this now!..... Mrs Hagen, I must suspend you pending an inquiry, you must leave at once
Di looks furious
The laundry
Cheryl is on the press looking angry
Cheryl - Where the bloody hell is Smith? I sent her out on skip ages ago!
Bea is in her cell laying on the bed casually smoking
Vera, Janice, and Colleen are walking along a corridor
Vera - Someone needs to call Mr Henderson and tell him his suspension has been lifted
Colleen - I'd like to do that myself if you don't mind
Vera - Certainly
Janice -I bet it must be a relief to know he didn't do it eh Colleen?
Colleen - Yes it is...but I feel bloody rotten that I doubted him
They turn a corner and spot the laundry skip in the middle of the corridor
Vera - What's that doing there?
They arrive at Bea's cell
Vera - SMITH!...on your feet at once!
Bea ignores her and takes a puff on her cigarette
Vera - DIDN'T YOU HEAR ME, SMITH? I SAID ON YOUR FEET AT ONCE
Bea - I heard you perfectly well Vera...
Colleen - Then do as the governor says, Smith!
Bea - And what if I don't want to?
Vera - Then you will go on report won't you! You know damn well you should be in the laundry with the others
Bea - Yeah well I fancied taking it easy today didn't i
Vera - On your feet...MOVE!
Bea chuckles
Bea - make me!
Janice - Come on now Smith, we'll give you a chance to return to the laundry right now and we'll say no more about it. How does that sound?
Colleen - I think its a fair offer Smith considering we should put you on a charge for this
Bea lays there and chuckles
Vera(angry and impatient) - Oh I've had enough of this!
Vera grabs Bea and tries to pull her off the bed
Vera - MOVE SMITH!...NOW!
Bea suddenly leaps up and grabs Vera and headbutts her violently, sending her flying. Janice and Colleen look shocked as Bea grabs Vera by her hair and throws her face-first into a wall
Bea - Oh I've been waiting years for this moment, Vera!
Bea punches Vera hard in the stomach, doubling her over in pain
Colleen and Janice rush in to restrain Bea, she fights them off and kicks out at Vera, kicking her in between the legs, she punches her again this time in the face. Colleen and Janice finally restrain her and pin her to a wall
Vera stands trembling, crying. she wipes the blood off her face
Janice - Are you ok Vera?
Vera - YOU'RE AN ANIMAL SMITH! A SAVAGE, FERAL ANIMAL!
Bea sneers
Bea - That's what they tell me
Vera - GET HER TO THE POUND! SHE CAN STAY THERE UNTIL THE CAR GETS HERE!
Colleen - What car Vera?
Vera - The car that's going to be escorting her to Blackmoor of course! Assaulting the prison governor is the most serious offense there is and this animal belongs in Blackmoor!
Bea smirks
GATESLAM
PART 2
Colleen is in reception as Kate is brought in
Colleen looks shocked
Colleen - Peterson?
Kate smiles at her
Kate - I keep telling everyone my name is Dr. Edwards, Dr. Marie Edwards...I really do wish people would listen
Colleen - Your name is Kate Peterson! Drop the act
Kate - Have we met? I really can't remember
Colleen - You know damn well we have Peterson!
Kate - You really must learn to address me by my correct name. I simply won't tolerate these sorts of mistakes
Dwyer is with Ann at Blackmoor
Dwyer - I trust Murphy has been taken care of?
Ann - If by taken care of you mean placed in isolation then yes
Dwyer - Good good
Ann - But I would like to know why he was moved here to start with?
Dwyer - The department felt that Woodridge would not be secure enough for him, he was already causing problems there. We feel he is better suited to Blackmoor
Ann - I see...
Dwyer - I hope you are up for the pressure Mrs Reynolds? If you aren't please say so now, i can easily relieve you of your duties
Ann (frosty) - I can handle the pressure Mr Dwyer, you needn't worry about that
Dwyer - I'm glad to hear it Mrs Reynolds
Ann - Yes well while you're here I wish to discuss my son Paul...the department is aware that he is a prisoner at Woodridge?
Dwyer - Yes, yes I did hear something about that most unfortunate of situations. Please allow me this opportunity to express my deepest condolences
Ann - Thank you......the thing is I would like him moved here
Dwyer - Moved here? That is totally out of the question Mrs Reynolds!
Ann - May I ask why?
Dwyer - That ought to be obvious....the department can't allow a prisoner to be in the same prison where his mother is the governor
Ann looks desperate
Ann - Please Sir... I've visited him in Woodridge and I am very concerned about him. He isn't coping with prison and I just want him here where I can keep an eye on him
Dwyer - If he came here and the other prisoners found out the governor was his mother they'd kill him
Ann - We'd have to make sure they didn't find out
Dwyer - These things have the habit of leaking out and you know that. No, I'm sorry Mrs Reynolds it's out of the question!
Ann looks distraught

The Last Journey
A slice of life litrpg story... or is it? It's burning slow, though. Moving on: War comes with a great cost. Lives and time wasted for most part. One could either be run with sword, be poisoned, be bowed, and sometimes meet their end with just a tiny speck of wood. With magic, it becomes even more colorful. From lightning, to worse poison, to hovering rocks, to weird bladed leaves, to whipping roots, and to a lot more odd things easily reasoned with magic. A wonderful creation. But once used to something more than wonder, more than tricks to gather laughs, it becomes worse. War becomes worse. For there is not only blood to be spilled. A particular town almost met the same end. Soldiers geared with swrords and bows came with mounts. Horses burning lush grasses as it cracked boulders and the soil alike with every step. The kind that only war ones could ever do. Even strange wheeled creations that oozed danger were towed, loaded with something meant to destroy. But not once had they acted upon what such devices should've done, nor what an an army is supposed to do. Siege never occurred, as much as a command to war. No. Magic existed so a simple little fire is all the worth the town has. No sword drawn, no arrows nocked, nothing. Just some mana spent and through the ash they march. That was how Nudius saw her end. It came not even as a surprise. She didn't have the moment to fully register what occurred before she found herself in an empty dark space. Life lost, time spent. All from a fire that had not even touched her. But she knew very well that it was magic. Something she wished to have and strived for to have. Yet it seemed that none of it would matter now. Nudius was well aware of what the color around meant, of the odd situation, of the unfeeling state of her being. It was death and that was it. She didn't have to worry or dream further. Although there wasn't what she truly wanted in what death to her is, but at least, Nudius was comforted to what she believed death is. Rest. But little did she know there's something more than that empty space. It wasn't only the promise of rest, but was also more than she could ever hope for. Another chance at life. Another chance to dream. ***Tags are there just in case. You never know! Umm... HI-MI-TSU. Story blurb+: This is slow burn, quite slice of life story about a girl learning magic. All the while as she fatten herself up. So yeah, progression fantasy. But there's Litrpg! Numbers! Magic! Spells! And of course! There's something more. But read on ahead, please. Oh yes. Plot! There is, too. Disclaimer: The cover isn't made by me. Just layered it with a text. I got it from a free website, if I correctly recall. I'll see to it. (Haven't worked on it.)
