"Can you cover for me?" Jaehyung went up to his sister who sat in front of her dresser, wearing silk robe as he could see the dirty look she's giving him through her sheet mask.

"Why? Where are you going?" Yujin's brows were starting to furrow.

He rolls his eyes, "Please? I'm going to the bingsu store."

She sighed, putting down whatever she was holding as she looked up to Jaehyung. He could tell she knew something was up. "Seriously? You think I'd buy that?" She scoffed.

He purses his lips as he surpresses the urge to groan. He wanted to get over this as fast as he could and getting on Yujin's nerves was the last thing he wants to do.

"What, you're gonna meet up with your boyfriend?" Startled, he gulped as Yujin gave him a smirk. "I can hear you every night, you know."

"Okay, fine, but he's not my boyfriend." Jaehyung couldn't help but correct her, even if something inside him is begging him not to. "He has something important to say and I want to hear it."

She hums but he wasn't sure if he could take that as a 'go' signal, so he stands there and waits for her to say anything. However, as Yujin finishes her nightly ritual, she just faces him with a satisfied look in her face. "What do you think? I bought this mask yesterday." She lifts up the packet to show.

Oh God, why must I have a sister like this? He internally whined.

"You know, you really don't have to hide anything from me." She turns away again, her hand reaching out for the lip balm on her table. "Just know that I won't judge you for anything you do."

The feeling of annoyance left him when Yujin spoke, "Where is this coming from?" He asks.

"Dunno. You doubt yourself a lot for some reason." She simply said. "I'll tell them you're sleeping, just go, shoo." Yujin gestured him to leave by basically pushing him out.

"Thank you." Jaehyung says before the door shuts on his face.

As he was about to finally leave, the door opens again and Yujin's head pops out from it. "Hey, whatever happens, good luck. And get me bingsu please." She says and shuts the door again.

Usually, Jaehyung would groan whenever Yujin asks for something that he has to pay for, but he was more focused with the good luck she gave him.

Definitely needed it.

With every inch of him, Jaehyung tried to fight the anger to leave. He's sitting in the store for twenty or so minutes, frantically checking his phone only to sigh afterwards when he didn't receive a single message from Brian.

Is he playing with me? He buries his face in his arms, he doesn't want to think irrationally but in a situation where he doubting Brian feels right, everything he thought was logically correct is now becoming wrong.

He was starting to wonder why he quickly got off his feet just to meet someone who, for God knows what, is so busy to even text him back. As he sighs, he starts to realize how much he likes Brian and it was sickening to him that he wanted to bash his head onto the table.

Right now, he's trying to keep himself calm from doing that or whatever that could result him in the ER. He's giving Brian the benefit of the doubt but all he's receiving from doing so is disappointment.

He lifts his head up as he breathes, looking around him as his eyes lands on the wall clock. It's getting late and Yujin would be nothing but worried sick. "I should just go home." He says to himself before standing up from his seat.

As he pushes door open, his eyes were down in disappointment that he didn't notice the group of girls walking past him. "Oh, I'm sorry, I wasn't looking." He says.

"It's fine," Thankfully, the girls were kind enough and they continued on walking.

He was going to continue his as well, until.. "Have you heard of the rumor about Young K?" The voice was trailing off slowly but enough for him to listen.

"What about it?"

"He's datin...."

He blinks a few times before pulling his phone out, seeing the bombarding notifications lining up on his phone that just appeared. It was a bunch of articles alerting about Young K.

Curious as he is, he looks through and his heart drops at the headline.

Idol Young K was spotted coming out of a hotel with a woman, insiders say they are dating!

Jaehyung stood speechless. He didn't know what to feel; moreso his emotions feels invalid. He should feel happy for Young K but he couldn't.

How could he? When the person he loves, Brian Young, is someone who he suspects to be Young K? How could he feel happy? At the same time, he has no idea if he could even feel betrayed.

Overwhelmed with emotions that he couldn't name, his legs were starting to feel weak and he only realized he's crying when a drop of his tears fell onto his phone screen, and a notification pops out.

Jaehyung should feel relieved now that it seems like Brian is about to tell him the truth, but he wanted to puke. The feeling in his gut was indescribable.
