Today is the day of the engagement party and like before we are going to do it at the Rossi's and not our house which is rather sad because than I can't go in my room for when everything gets to much for me.

On the other side Theo promised me to stay by my side when I need him which I probably do. I just hope he keeps that promise.

After I showered and did the rest of my business in the bathroom I get into my dress and apply make-up. I usually don't do really much make-up but today I apply a bit blush and concealer together with a fitting Rosé kind of eyeshadow and an eyeliner line.

For my hair I just did a half up half down look with a few strands falling out in the front.

Leaving it in my natural waves.

Instead of wearing heels I put on my white sneakers to make myself feel more comfortable and it is not like anyone will see my shoes with the length of my dress.

Going downstairs I see my parents already waiting for me.

„Finally, you couldn't possibly take longer could you?" my mother asks me in a very annoying voice.

Choosing not so say something to her, again. I just walk past them and out the door.

Sitting in the car I get kind of a flashback to a week ago when we first made our way to the Rossi's. Being nervous and anxious all over again but this time in a way more expensive outfit.

Stopping in front of the house I see Mattheo and his parents already waiting on the doorsteps for us.

Opening the door I go directly to them.

„Oh, sweety you look so gorgeous in that dress. I mean Mattheo already told me how beautiful you looked but this is just so much more beautiful than I could have ever imagined." Theos mom say excitingly to me making me blush.

I feel like I'm always blushing around this family.

„Thank you, you look beautiful as well" I didn't lie she really does in her navy blue dress.

„Oh shush, now come on in. We already set everything and the guests should be here soon."

After that is sad we go inside. Walking next to Theos dad he bends down a bit saying „my wife is right you know. This dress is really pretty on you"

„Thank you"

Standing in the dining room I walk next to Mattheo.

„You are still saying that you stay with me all night right?"

„Yeah" he replies chuckling.

„Even if it means the whole night?" I ask looking straight forward.

Looking at me he takes my chin between his pointer finger and thump to turn my face around so I would look at him. „Even if it means the whole night" he repeats „I promise".

Smiling at him feeling reassured he smiles back.

We get pulled out of our little trance that we were in by the doorbell ringing.

Taking my hand Theo and I go to open the door. Our parents already in full conversation we greet the first guests.

Mid conversation with an older couple a man comes walking straight to us smiling the biggest smile I have ever seen.

„Mattheo my man, you getting married never thought I would see that."

Theo whips his head around smiling at the unknown man going to greet him with this hug thing that men do.

„Hey man good to see you"

Feeling lost I excuse myself from the couple and go stand next to Theo. Being shy I don't say anything and just wait till they are done with their greeting.

„This is my fiancée Aurora" Theo says looking at me smiling softly. „Aurora this is my best friend since childhood, Jack"

„It's really nice to meet you Aurora. I've heard a lot of things about you. Only good ones of course."

Blushing I reply with just a lame „Nice to meet you too Jack".

„He didn't tell you much about me, did

he?"

„No, not really"

„Well then we just have to talk now, huh?"

Nodding we the three of us fell into light conversation.

Turns out Jack knows about this marriage being arranged. We talked a lot about really everything and he is a real nice guy I feel really comfortable around him.

„I definitely have to throw a bachelor party for you, I mean you only get married once."

Jack mentions.

Not looking really convinced at him Mattheo replies with just a shrug saying 'he doesn't really need one'.

„Oh come in he is right you should go and enjoy yourself with your friends." I try to encourage him.

„See, even Ro is on my side." Jack says exiting. We know each other for not even 4 hours and he already gave me a nickname but I like it. It makes me feel special and loved, like I have finally found a friend.

„If I have one Rora will have to have one too." Mattheo says.

„That's not possible." Is all I say to that

„Why not" both guys ask me

„Well first of all I don't have friends and second of all my parents wouldn't allow me anyway"

„But that doesn't mean you shouldn't have one" I quickly add looking at Theo.

„I will force you if I have too" I say feeling quite brave.

„I will think about it" he just replies

Jack and I look at each other knowing we will make it happen that he will have one.

...

The day was over way faster than I thought it would be. It was very fun with Theo and Jack.

I felt so light and happy and Theo kept his promise he spent the whole day with me making me feel the safest I have ever felt.

Being with him kind of just makes me feel so safe all the time.

I like that.

I like him.

Maybe it's not gonna be so bad after all.
