Sitting down at the table I'm next to my mom with my dad at one head of the table. Mattheo sitting in front of me with his mom next to him and his dad at the other head of the table.

Still being so nervous I just look down on the table I'm front of me. Just a few seconds go by till we get our food served.

The cook made some very fancy and delicious looking pasta. Which fits seeing as they are a rich family. We wait till everyone got their plate and as soon as we all got one I started with eating which gets me a side glance from my mother.

And my mom being my mom and having to say something to everything I do.

She quietly says „don't eat all of that we don't want you getting even more fat."

I just nod trying to ignore the heat raising to my face because even if she said it quietly the whole table heard it seeing as nobody talked.

I quickly glance at Mattheo to see his reaction only to see him glaring at my mom before he opens his mouth.

„She isn't fat in the slightest, actually I think she should eat more."

This only earns a scoff from my mom and my blush to deepen.

„We should probably talk about some things, don't we?" Evelyn says, trying to change the subject.

„Yeah, you're right darling." her husband states.

„So we thought we should do a engagement party an invite every possible business partner and rivals to let them know." my father explains.

„It is best if we wild do that right next weekend." my mother adds.

Getting nods of approval from everyone else.

„Then I should probably give you this now." Mattheo directs at me. Getting a little black box out of his pocket only to receive a confused look from me.

When he opens it I see a gorgeous gold engagement ring that has two thin bands that are braided together with a bit space here and there so the little Diamonds could be placed there and a big diamond on the top. I already fell in love with this ring he has a really good taste when he chose this ring himself.

I couldn't stop admiring the ring while taking it from him and putting it on.

„Thank you, this ring is absolutely gorgeous."

„I'm happy you like it. It took me some time to find one I thought you maybe would like."

He thought about what I would like? He is so cute.

Looking up from the ring again I give him a big smile which shows him my dimples.

„So now that we got that sorted out we have to get to buy you a dress in the next few days that you can wear to your engagement party." my mother speaks up again.

„I could go with her." says Mattheo looking adding a fast „so we could get to know each other more before the party of course."

Getting a nod of approval from our parents.

„You okay with that, Aurora? I wouldn't do it if you wouldn't." he tells me.

„No, yeah I mean of course. We should know more about us I mean the others have to believe that we're a couple for some time by now." I nervously ramble.

„You free on Thursday?" he ask, smiling softly at me for my rambling.

I just blush again and nod approving.

After everything was set we finished eating and heading home again.

Getting in my room I quickly make myself ready for bed and as soon as I'm in bed I realize just how draining that how dinner was. Being happy to finally rest I fall asleep.
