《Eviternity》Unexpected Commotion

Back in the brood's territory, Eleanor had woken up due to the sunlight that was coming through the big window in the guest room she resides in.
A few consecutive knocks got her attention.
"Milady, this is Amelia. I have brought your breakfast."
When the door opens, Amelia entered the room while holding the tray of food she brought for Eleanor's breakfast.
"Have you had a good night's sleep, Miss?" Amelia asked as she sets the table located at the left part of the room.
"I did. I think I slept too well even though I was in unfamiliar place." Eleanor got up from bed and went to the table to eat.
After finishing her breakfast, Lady Amelia and Lady Matilda helped her take a bath. Today is the day that she will be fitting into her wedding dress.
"Are you nervous, Miss?" Lady Matilda asked Eleanor as she watched Lady Amelia combed her hair.
Eleanor sighed.
Even if this is a union that was taking place due to some treaty, she can't help but be nervous since it's still about her wedding.
"Of couse. To be precise, I feel jittery."
The conversation was interrupted when someone knocked on her chamber doors again.
Lady Matilda stood up and open the door.
They are all shocked to see Arius standing outside the room while holding a fresh bouquet of red roses.
They don't know if it's just their eyes playing tricks on them but the Eldest Master of the Brood looks twice as dashing today than usual.
Arius scanned the whole room until his gaze darted on Eleanor.
"Good morning, Did I interrupted you?" His deep, magnetic voice echoed inside the room.
Eleanor stood up and welcomed him in.
"No, we we're just talking about something."
"I see. The flowers are in bloom now, so I figured you might like it. Ahem," Arius stated as he faked his cough and gave the bouquet to Eleanor.
"Thank you, they looked wonderful."
Eleanor gave the flowers to Lady Amelia so she could put it in the vase.
While Eleanor and Arius proceed to their appointment for the day.

They are in the middle of their travel when the carriage suddenly stopped.
"What's wrong?" Arius asked the coachman.
"It seems that there is a riot, Eldest Master."
Eleanor looked outside the window and saw a woman getting badly beat up by a big, bulky man. There are a lot of people who are watching but none are willing to help the woman.
Without second thoughts, Eleanor got down from the carriage and went towards the commotion.
Arius was caught off-guard and immediately followed her. He couldn't use his powers here since there are too many people.
"Ellie!" Arius called for her but Eleanor was already blocking the fist of the man and left him groaning by a kick on his private area.
The woman continuously bowed her head to thank Eleanor for saving her and then run away.
Arius shielded Eleanor when the man recovered and was about to hit her too.
"Bastard, who do you think you are trying to hit my wife?"
Arius then gave the man a hard punch on the face enough to lose all of his teeth.
Seeing this Eleanor stopped Arius and took him away.
When they rode the carriage again, Arius brows furrowed.
"What were you thinking getting involved in a fight like that?"
"I can't stand it. There are a lot of people who are there but no one seems willing to help."
"Still, it's too dangerous for you." Arius sighed. This woman is too stubborn.
"Let me see your hand, did you get hurt?"
Arius inspected both of Eleanor's hand and sighed again in relief when he didn't find any bruises.
The carriage finally stopped and Arius gave out his hand to help Eleanor to get down.
They walked in to the store they went to last time to check out the dress.
"Welcome, Master Barclay. Miss Althasia is waiting for you." The assistant of the tailor then ushered them to where the tailor at.
Eleanor looked at around the store and she was wondering why it was so quiet and only them was there.
So she asked the asisstant,

"Is it because it's the weekend that is why there are no people around?"
"No, it was not beacsue of that. the Eldest master of the Barclay specificallly told us to exclusively accomodate the both of you for today, that is why there are no other people in here."
Eleanor didn't knew about it.
The assistant left them in the room and the tailor went in and greeted them gleefully.
"Please wait here fro a moment, Lord Barclay. lady Beaumont, please follow me." She signaled Eleanor to go with her and entered another room.
The tailor picked out a white flowy gown out from the clothes rack and showed it to Eleanor.
"Would you like to try it out, Miss Beaumont?"
Eleanor scanned the gown and then gave a nod.
"Let me help you then."
Eleanor looked at the herself on the mirror after trying it out. The white flowy gown adorned by diamonds and rubies shimmers whenever the light reflects on them and her spotless, smooth, pink, rosy skin, it made her look like a goddess out of children's fairytale.
The tailor squealed and clapped.
"I knew it would suit you! You look perfect. Amazing."
Eleanor's face turned red to thee compliment.
"You flatter me." She smiled and gave herself another look in the mirror.
Arius was casually sitting in the waiting room while waiting for Eleanor. It has been half an hour and she still hasn't returned. He wonder what is taking them so long.
He was about to follow them because he got worried that the tailor might have taken his wife somewhere else but the two had already returned even before he could stand up.
"Arius." Eleanor called for him to get his attention.
Arius immediately turned his head.
"Yes..?" Arius voice trailed off when he saw Eleanor in her beautiful wedding dress.
He felt like he couldn't breathe. His soon-to-be wife has a beauty and elegance that every woman would be jealous of and any man could bewitched.
He gulped.
"How was it? Do you think it's okay?" Eleanor looked at him inquisitively.
Arius was too caught up with her beauty that he didn't get to answer quickly.
"Arius?" Eleanor called his name again, waiting for him to answer.
He faked a cough to compose his self.
"It's breath-taking. You look magnificent." Arius praised her.
"Thank you."
After Eleanor changed back, it's Arius turn to change and try out his suit.
The tailor lead him back to the room where Eleanor tried out her dress.
It was a three piece suit that's comprised of a pearl white long sleeeves, a black vest and a long coat topped with a red tie.
Since Eleanor would be wearing white, having Arius wear black would compliment it to be more pleasing in the eyes.
"Now, let's go and show how dashing you are to your wife. I am hundred percent sure that you'll be the most perfect pair of a couple."
The tailor excitedly exited the room so he just followed.
"Darling, what do you think? Ain't your fiancé so handsome?"
Eleanor looked at Arius who was standing three feet away from her.
The pale complexion of Arius added an air of elegance to the suit he was wearing. The ginger hair of his became prominent too. The snobbish aura of Arius made him look more aloof but it just increased his charisma that was already hard to ignore.
"You look like some male lead in an opera. My soon-to-be husband is definitely an eye-candy."
Arius tried to hide his shock so quickly composed himself. He put his right hand on his mouth to surpass his smile.
He don't usually give a damn to how he looked. Eversince he was a kid he knew he was charming. He didn't know why but he felt good hearing Eleanor said that.
He cleared his throat and said, "I'm glad if you think it that way. Pack what we wore today. We will be getting all of them."
Arius hurriedly turned his back and left the room to change back. No one get the glimpse of the reddening tip of his ears as he walked away.

A Will Eternal
A Will Eternal is the fourth major xianxia novel by the renowned Er Gen. It tells the tale of Bai Xiaochun, an endearing but exasperating young man who is driven primarily by his fear of death and desire to live forever, but who deeply values friendship and family. The story takes place in the same Universe as Er Gen's other novels, but is a separate story and can be read alone. That said, it does have connections to the other novels, especially I Shall Seal the Heavens. Those connections only pertain to a handful of chapters, so you can read the novel as a whole and enjoy it without first reading ISSTH. However, the best reading experience would begin with the later portions of ISSTH. This novel is much more comedic and light-hearted than Er Gen's previous works, although it has its fair share of action and drama. Recruit - An Infinite Labyrinth prequel
A prequel to The Infinite Labyrinth. The year is 1816. The British Empire is in full swing, under the auspices of King George III. The Infinite Labyrinth has been pouring out its product from beyond our reality and fostered a new industrial revolution. Times are changing, and the people of London are feeling the winds of the revolution while British Professionals push into the Labyrinth. The newly formed Artefact Hunting Company is looking for recruits, and they have new technology to help them. From the slums of London, they aim to recruit a new wave of Professionals. And make Zacharias and the Earl of Carnavon lots of money. So, for Rowan Rivers and a handful of lucky ones, it's time to head into the Labyrinth, and discover what makes it different from England. And what makes THEM different? Recruit is a bunch of chapters I wrote to create to the setting, mood, and game systems of the Infinite Labyrinth. It is NOT a complete story in the classic sense. It's more of a slice of life view of early days of a normal Professional from the Infinite Labyrinth, and it's heavy on info-dump. It's 90% canon - there's probably a bit of a difference between how some characters and common behaviour are portrayed here and how they'll come out in the main story. Set two years before the events that kick-start the main series, it features some of the secondary/peripheral characters of the Infinite Labyrinth and will tell you all about the basic mechanics of the Labyrinth's RPG system. It can be considered a spoiler, as the characters in the Infinite Labyrinth are going to need to figure out all that, on their own. But if you like a much deeper exposition in the mechanics, here it is. The entire prequel is about 80 pages long.
