《Eviternity》The Agreement

Few weeks after the meeting between the Vampire clan, Eleanor's every day life went by smoothly to the point that she felt like something huge is about to go down.
It was like a calm before the storm.
Although Eleanor kept trying to wrapped her head around what was about to happen, she could not still believe that her soon to be husband is a vampire.
She did not know what kind of life they are living for the past decades or even millennium. Will she able to fit in? She wondered how it would change her life.
She had only known humans. To suddenly have to live with vampires would be a big challenge for her.
Although she knew that one day, she would have to marry someone, she had hoped that it was a person she loves.
Her soon to be husband is not only a stranger, he was also so different from her. How are they going to accompany each other for the rest of their lives? Or maybe her life? Since she almost forgot that they live an immortal life.
Not to mention that they are asked to produce an heir! How could they both do that?
Bearing a baby is not as easy at it sounds. It would have needs that have to be met and you have to provide them with unconditional love, care and support.
Eleanor felt like her brain would burst out of her head.
With that, the days of the full moon arrived.
That night, the moon gleams so lustrously despite the darkness that surrounds it. The cold mist added to the trembling hearts of the Beaumont family.
The servants held their breath and no one dared to speak or even utter a sound.
Their poor miss was about to be thrown in a Lion's lair. They could not help but utter a silent prayer asking for their lady's protection.

The brood arrived at the Beaumont family residence dressed up in a devil-may-care that suits their aura.
Their pale placid faces illuminates brightly under the moonlight. They trudge adroitly as if they are adamantine.
People's fear made them forgot how sublime their beauty are.
All of them look exquisite but Arius Barclay is the most eye-catching one. He was striding side by side by his father, Lord Barclay.
Following them behind is his young little brother, Athanasius Barclay, who has not come of age yet so his body will continue to change and develop until he reach the right age.
As of the moment he look like a seven year old kid but the Barclay's gene in him is already prominent.
Imagine what would he look like when he reached 18 years old. He might be as dashing as his big brother by then.
They continue to walk towards the patio.
Ila, the head of the housemaid and Butler Edmund Blackladder bowed at them and ushered them to the drawing room.
Although they don't know what they are eating, they still serve them refreshments to show courtesy.
Arius sat down on the black chesterfield sofa and settled himself there while Athanasius and Lord Barclay both sat beside him.
A servant has told them that the Beaumont family will be right out in a while.
A few moments later, the young lady of the Beaumont family was seen walking down the stairs gracefully in her long white flowy ruffle dress accentuated to the chest and waist making her slim body more prominent and eye-catching.
Following her behind are the Duke and the Duchess who both have a worried look on their face.
As the Beaumont family got down, the Brood stood up and bowed to the noble family as a sign of respect.

Even though the vampire clan have their own independent land to rule, they are still expected to do the customs of giving respects to high ranking nobles when they are in their territory.
"Since all of the people needed are present, should we get down to it and discuss? What do you think, Duke Beaumont?" Lord Athan Barclay started.
The Beaumont family and the Brood settled down in their seats to began their discussion.
"Is there really no way for us to continue the treaty without letting my daughter marry into your family?" Duke Beaumont asked inquisitively.
"I understand your concerns, Duke. But this very vital for us to continue our bloodline. We can sign an agreement stating to never hurt her or put her life at stake in anyway as possible. But the wedding must continue to be held."
The Duke and Duchess of Beaumont fell into silence.
A deep voice suddenly resounded in the drawing room.
"Why don't we let Lady Eleanor decide? Since she is the one who will have to get through it. What do you think, Lady Eleanor?" Arius who have been keeping silent all the while has finally decided to speak up.
He felt that the discussion will never reach an agreement point if they continue to discuss like this. So why not the person involved be the one to decide what she wants to do with her fate.
Eleanor has been caught unaware by the sudden question of Arius. She decided to ponder a little before voicing out her reply.
Stealthily, Arius had been trying to read the mind of his soon to be wife but to no avail. This had been the first time it had happened.
'Seems like my soon-to-be wife was not a dime, a dozen after all.' Arius thought to himself.
After pondering what to say, Eleanor decided to speak.
"Alright, Mr. Barclay. Let's proceed with the wedding." She said as she look straight into the eyes of Arius which no one dared before.
"Very well, then we will be back to talk about the wedding preparation." Arius said as his lips curved upward in a smirk secretly.
This strange actions does not get pass to the Brood unnoticed that it left them all astonished. Their eldest master had just done things he never did before.

Embrace the Blade
Born crippled, it was no surprise when James Ransom died young, but he was offered an opportunity - a mission: to go to a new world and become strong enough to kill the hidden boss behind the final boss. Now in a new world he must research and study the system to take advantage of it, find his strengths; form alliances and find party members to become strong enough to face the end. This story does use Multiple perspectives and tells stories that add to the MC's. I've been given this feedback enough that I feel the need to mention that growth (levels, skills, classes, etc.) is slow, intentionally so, but constant. Credit for the cover goes to a commission for KemptBones from DeviantArt for the cover. This book is a rewrite of the original Embrace the Blade. The timeline for this one is completely separate and you do not need to read the original to understand what is going on. If you want to check out the original you can find it here (just a warning that they are NOT good): ETB Drafts 1&2 If you came here from the original EtB, WELCOME!!
