"Jay stop those are cute!" I told him putting the dresses back in the cart.
"My daughter not wearin that shit!"
We were in Target getting stuff for the projector night with Demarcus when we got caught up in the baby aisle. I was trying to get those cute little dressy onesies for babies and Jay kept putting them back on the rack.
"Baby, it's not even a real dress for real."
"I don't care. Sooner or later it will turn into a real dress and I ain't flyin wit that ma. She can wear this." He said grabbing a pink jumper.
"Bae, she has hundreds of those already."
"Now she got more."
"You aggy." I said laughing and pushing the cart.
We picked up Demarcus's favorite snacks. We got nutter butter cookies, oreos, twizzlers, sour patch kids, and skittles of course. We picked up one of his favorite dinners that I made which is my steak platter. Steak, mashed potatoes & gravy, asparagus, and corn.
"We need a huge white blanket or tarp." I told him as he pushed the cart. "What?"
"You look good. Lil pregnant butt." I laughed.
"You stay doin some annoying shit!"
We walked over to car the section and found a large white tarp they use to put over cars. It was perfect for the projector screen. We put it in the cart and made our way to checkout. Once we finished scanning everything we bagged and got in the car on the way home. We stopped by bestbuy to get a projector. The best one we can find.
"We can take our time he's still at o boy house." Jay told me as we walked in the house with the bags.
We got everything in the house and started to put the pieces together. I can't wait to see the look on his face. I just hope this can at least make him smile. He deserves it, and he should be happy.

I've been at Troy house for the last 3 hours. He was helping me get into Nicole's phone and disable the password.
"You boys thirsty?" Kayla asked walking in the den.
"Nah baby we good." Troy said not turning around.
"Troy you speakin for yourself again." She said laughing. "De you thirsty?"
"Nah I'm good Kayla thank you." She nodded and walked off while we continued to work.
"Aight this shit should be it. Your in. Remember to shut it down when ever you don't need to use it." I nodded and grabbed the phone before dappin him up. I walked out the den and past the kitchen where Kayla was cooking.

"Bye Kayla!" I shouted out to her.
"Bye De! Wait! Let me know when Jo'nae wakes up. I want to see her." I nodded my head before walking out the house.
Troy and Kayla found out about Jo'nae through the news. They knew that nigga was an OP. The only beef OP has is with us. So they kind of just put the pieces together.
I called up Jay and he told me to go check out the club some shit went down. So I guess that was my next stop. I miss Jo'nae though. I always think of her. Every single second of the day.
Please just wake up mama.

I just finished cooking the steak platter while Jay was setting the table.
"De called me like 10 minutes ago he should be home any minute and we didn't even start decorating outside bae."
"Alright then let's go." I said putting down the gravy bowl.
We went outside and the first thing we took out was the tarp to hang it up. It was cold outside but we had blankets and stuff so we was good. I held the tarp while Jay figured out a away to hold it up. Once he did that he hung it and we went back inside to get blankets and pillows. We put the thickest blanket on the ground and the lighter ones on top with the pillows. All we had to do now was get the snacks and stuff out here and the projector connected.
Jay put all the snacks out while I went to look for an extension cord. I looked everywhere and couldn't find one. I went in Jo'naes room and looked in her closet for one and of course she had it. But she also had a box of notes. It's none of my business so I just left it where it was. I scanned her room before closing the door back.
I miss you pooh.
"Baby come on." Jay said walking out with the projector. I followed after him with the cord and we connected it up running it from the laundry room out to the backyard.
"Alright we all done you jus need to connect your laptop and that's it right?!" He asked me.
"Yea."
"Aight cool." We walked back in the house and into the kitchen when Demarcus walked in.
Perfect timing.

"Yo yo" I said as I walked in.
"Hey."
"Yoo"
"what ya been doing?" I asked them.
I walked into the kitchen and saw the table set up.
"Fuck ya got goin on?" I asked them. They both laughed.

"This is for you!" Ashanti said
"Ouuuu you cooked that smackin ass steak platter I see youuuuu." I said sitting down at the table.
They sat across from me still laughing.
"Why ya do this?" I asked them as Ashanti started to make our plates.
"Miss girl right here wanted you to feel special."
"Aht Aht don't act like you ain't put no work into this Jay. WE felt bad for you and you deserve to be happy so WE made your favorite dinner."
"Awwwww Jayyyyy you felt bad for a nigga" I said teasing him. He just rolled his eyes laughing.
We ate as we held regular conversations. I told them that I got into Nicole's phone. They were happy I did. They wanted to help me with this plan so bad but I didn't want them to. I got myself into this shit, imma get myself out. They should just be worryin about them and babygurl.
It got quiet at one point while we were eating and it's like we all felt it. An absence. We looked at each other.
"So, what happened at the club?" Ashanti asked me.
"Nothing. I walked in and they asked me if I could check out the surveillance room cause they guards said the camera was fuckin up. That's it."
We finished eating and Jay and I cleaned the table off while Ashanti went to use the bathroom. After we was done I was getting ready to go lay down when they stopped me.
"What?" I asked as Ashanti grabbed my arm.
"Come on we gotta show you something." They walked me outside to the backyard. And slide open the door.
(Ignore them lil white babies...idk them.)
"Damn, this what ya been doin all day?!" I asked them. They nodded and guided me to the blanket on the ground.
"We know how you feel with Jo'nae being in the hospital. We still love you and we're here for you all the time. This shit affects all of us but we know it affects you more. Ya was eachothers first love. Don't be afraid to show us how you feel the worst thing you can do right now is hold in your emotions. Cause now is the time you let them out." Ashanti told me.
She's a fluent ass speaker she should be on some Martin Luther King shit. I watched as she connected her laptop to the machine looking thing and her screen popped up on the white tarp in front of us. She opened a file and clicked the first picture.
It was me and Jo'nae in high school. The first day I met her. She was so small and petite. She has the most beautiful smile. That shii could brighten up a room.
"Remember this day?" Jay asked me as I was staring at the screen.
"Yea. She saw you in the lunchroom and walked up to you to say 'hi' and you introduced us." I watched as Ashanti flipped through more of the pictures.
A video came up from when we first moved into this house. It looked so empty we ain't even have any furniture yet. Jo'nae and I were sliding around on the floor in our socks while Jay recorded. You can hear us laughing and Jay cursing us out. He kept telling us to be careful or we can get hurt. I smiled. We flipped through the pictures more and we came across the picture of the four of us at the club the first night Ashanti came. I kept reliving the moment it was a night to remember. The last photos we seen was the one from Florida and the baby shower one. Standing in the beach with the ocean in the background Jo'nae was on my back while Jay was holding up the phone for a selfie and of course Ashanti was next to Jay. Then it's pink graffiti in the air and all our friends and family gathered around.
That was the last time i've seen any type of smile in Jo'naes face. That last photo hit different. I felt a tear drop down to my cheek.
"How you feelin?" Jay asked me.
"Good. Seeing all our memories hit different in a good way. It's like there's so much going on that we forget where it all started."
We all looked at each other. We suddenly started laughing. I don't know why but we did. Once we stopped we started to eat the snacks. I got my mothafuckin skittles!!!!!
We were flipping through Netflix to find a movie when Jay got a phone call. He answered it and his mood changed.
"Aight thank you." He said before hanging up.
"What happened?" Ashanti and I asked.
"Someone tried to go see Jo'nae and used your name."
We looked at each other and hurried to get back in the house. Jay grabbed his keys and we all piled in before he sped off to the hospital.
Who the fuck would use Ashanti name to see Jo'nae?

Keepers of the Neeft
The Indigo Empire has conquered half the world’s nations, their people, and their gods. According to its citizens, old and new, the rest of the world will follow. In the capital of the Throne-home, the Imperial Academy produces the next generation of great leaders to drive that expansion. Cadryn Bence knows he will be one such leader, he’s overcome his common birth, mixed heritage, and every other obstacle to be the top of his class. He dreams of glory on the southern front against the Gravanik States. He will not be finding it. Instead, if the glory he expects. Far to the north, lies the unassumingly named North-Eastern Extreme Frontier Tower, a backwater post if ever there were one. Through the machinations of the Emperor’s state religion, and a cult within it, Cadryn will find himself on his way to this first assignment. On the frontier, Cadryn will discover that neither his campions, nor the Neeft itself, are what he expects. Follow Cadryn on his journey to discover many truths: about himself, about the Empire, and about the very world he call home. ****** Keepers of the Neeft is a (bit dark) fantasy story revolving around Cadryn and his journey of discovery. There’s a fairly wide cast of supporting characters (his fellow Keepers) all with their own reasons and motivations behind how they came to be at the Neeft. Current release plan is to have part 2 completed, then fully edit up till the end of part 2. I am in the process of editing the earlier content as I complete the updates/re-writes. Apologies for any rough content in the meantime. My primary objective with Keepers of the Neeft is to work on developing content flow and establishing a community of people who enjoy my writing style. I write SF/F and horror as my primary genres, Keepers is actually my 3rd novel length work, but my current project. Updates of new Content will currently be in the form of one larger post on Tuesdays.
