It's been a whole ass week since I've been arrested. I've missed the baby's first doctor's appointment. That shit had me tight. But Ashanti told me that it was okay and she understood. That's what I love about that girl. She's so understanding.

But anyway, today I come home to surprise Ashanti. She knows I'm supposed to be coming home but she isn't sure when exactly.

It's 9:58am. I was released at 9:30 but Demarcus let Jo'nae slow ass drive!

"It's about time." I said getting in the backseat.

"My bad g, You know Jo'nae don't know how to drive." Demarcus said looking over at her.

"I do know how to drive. Dumbass" She said sitting in the driver seat. We looked at Jo'nae and back at eachother.

"Bae." Demarcus said.

"Hum?"

"Drive!" He yelled

"Ohhhhh, I ain't know know ya wanted me to go now!" We laughed.

"When did you think we were supposed to go?" I said. "We supposed to be surprising her and it's 10:00 now. She usually wake up around this time so stomp on the gas."

We made it home around 10:30.

"Remind me to never let Jo'nae drive again." I said getting out the car.

"Aye, lay off me b." She said unlocking the door to the house.

It was silent. We crept upstairs and they pointed to my room. I opened the door a crack and saw her laying on the bed cuddling my pillow.

She looks so beautiful. I walked in and went to my dresser and slowly pulled it open. I took out boxers, joggers and a white tee before leaving the room.

"What are you doing?" Jo'nae asked me when I returned to the hallway.

"I'm going to take a shower. I'm not going to hug her with jail all of over me. Ion wanna get her or that baby sick." I said turning to go to the bathroom. I showered and got dressed before going back to the room.

Jo'nae and Demarcus left and went to her room. I opened the door again and she was in the same position on the bed. I slide in the bed behind her and wrapped my arm around her waist. I felt a small bump. Her baby bump is starting to show a little bit. Excitement ran through my body cause I'm not gon lie to ya I'm so happy to be a father. I never imagined being a father but since it's with Ashanti I'm with it. I drifted to sleep while I held Ashanti and her bump.

I opened my eyes and felt a weight on my waist I turned to see Jay fast asleep next to me. I have never smiled so damn hard in my life. He's here! I didn't know how much I would miss him until he left. I kissed his forehead and he slowly opened his eyes.

"Hey, ma." He said with a smile. "I'm back." I hugged him tightly and didn't let go. I felt safe again. My bestfriend, my other half, is back home and I couldn't be more happy. He pulled away and gently kissed my lips.

"I missed you ma."

"I missed you too." I said with a pouty face. "How come it took you so long to comeback I thought you were supposed to come back the other day."

"I know me too. But the crooked ass cops wanted to pin so much evidence on me that had nothing to do with me. So that made the judge extend my stay." She scrunched up her face.

"Don't say it like you was on a vacation." She said laughing.

"Speaking of which. Every night I laid in my cell I thought about you." That pretty smile I love spread across her face. "I think you need a little getaway. You and Jo'nae." She pouted again.

"Why not you and Demarcus?"

"That's only if you want us to come. I want you to chill and have fun. You've been on your feet since the day I was sent in Demarcus told me everything." She smiled and kissed me passionately.

We got up and went downstairs to Jo'nae and Demarcus sitting on the couch.

"NaeNae!" Ashanti said running to her.

"Wanna go on a trip??"

"A trip where?"

"I don't know yet." She turned to me.

"Baby. Where are going?"

"Where do ya wanna go?"

"Florida." Jo'nae said.

"Yes!" Ashanti said after her.

"Then I guess we going to Florida." The girls danced around chanting that their going to Florida.

"When we goin?" Demarcus said.

"Let's go today." I said to them. They all looked at me.

"Today??" Ashanti said.

"Yea why not?"

"Bae you do know it's fall time right. Do you know how packed the airport would be with college kids trying to get back to school?"

"Fuck dem kids." I Glanced at her belly. "Except for you peanut." I said rubbing it.

"Okay than I guess today."

We all went to our rooms and started packing. I grabbed me and Ashanti's bags and put them by the door and Demarcus grabbed him and Jo'nae's. We packed up the car and locked up the house before driving away.

I drove with Ashanti in the front seat. I looked over and noticed she was fanning herself. I pushed the button down to lower her window and she smiled at me interlocking her hand with mine.

We were almost at the airport when Demarcus and Jo'nae started arguing.

"Jo'nae come on why you being like that?" Demarcus said looking at her.

"Ion want you touchin me."

"Why not, Why can't I touch to all of a sudden?"

"Boy leave me alone."

"You don't really want that trust me you really don't."

"I really fuckin do." She said back.

"Bro we supposed to be going to Florida to have a good time and you wanna fuck it up." He said to her.

"You should've stayed your cheatin ass home then. Cause ion know why you came I might just cheat."

"Are you deadass right now?" Demarcus said.

They continued bickering back and forth like little ass kids. I can tell it was pissin Ashanti off so I tried to hurry to the airport so she don't got to flip on them but It was too late.

"Can ya shut the fuck up!" She said turning around.

"Like damn. Ya bicker like a married fuckin couple. Ya haven't argued not once that entire time Jay was gone. Why tf start now? I'm tired of hearing that shit. Jo'nae. Why do you keep saying he cheatin on you?"

"Cause he is! You saw that picture of him and that girl together."

"What picture Jo'nae what picture you can't believe everything these bitches put on social media. Half of it is lies. Are you going to believe them or this nigga that is up under you 24/7. Like come one girl. You my bestfriend and I love you. But you are not going to keep on settin yourself up! Demarcus is a good guy. Aight. Ya need to work this shit out."

It's true Demarcus would never cheat on Jo'nae he loves that girl. Even when he wouldn't admit it. And she loves him.

"And Demarcus you got some proving to do. Cause clearly she's insecure! You haven't shown her how secure ya really are. And that's wtf you finna do on this trip." She turned back around in her seat.

The car was silent until we got to the airport.

We got out and Demarcus and I grabbed the bags from the trunk.

"Ashanti scares me." He said grabbing the last of the bags.

"Why?" I said laughing.

"Because she's the only girl besides Jo'nae that snaps on me like that. My own momma ain't even do that shit." I shook my head and met with the girls to board the plane.

Once we got on she sat with me and Jo'nae and Demarcus sat together in front of us. I looked over at Ashanti. She was on her phone scrolling through Pinterest.

"Whatchu doin ma?!" I say laying my head on her head.

"Just looking for nursery ideas."

"But we don't know if it's a boy or girl yet"

"I'm just saving both so I can have something to look at once the time comes."

I watched as she scrolled through Pinterest saving babygirl nursery and babyboy nursery ideas. She later locked her phone and leaned over on me and fell asleep. My poor baby. That lil peanut in her belly tires her out so much. I leaned on her and fell asleep too.

I was shaken awake by Jay.

"What? What?!" I mumbled.

"We're here ma." He said opening the shade. I looked out at another plane window at another plane and in the far background I saw palm trees.

"Already?" I said getting out my seat with everyone else.

"It's only a few hours. And we left early."

I held Jay's arm as we walked down the "hallway" that connected the airplane to the building whatever those shits called.

Once we got to the lobby we all walked out together.

"Man what tf is this?" I said looking around.

"Whatchu mean?" Jay asked me.

"Where tf is the pizzazz?" They looked at me like I was stupid. "This look just like Jersey with fuckin palm trees!" They laughed at me.

"Girl is not all about the views it's about the experience let's go!" She said running to a black suv. We hopped in and some guy asked us where we were going and Jay gave him the address and we drove off.

Once we got to the hotel we unloaded our luggage out the car and paid the man. Jay went up to the lady at the front desk and she gave him some type of keycard. We took and elevator up to the 10th floor. Once we got off we looked around.

"Okay where's our rooms bae?" I asked him.

"Oh Ion know. Pick one." I looked at this nigga like what!

"Whatchu mean pick one which one is ours?"

"All of em." I looked at him and Jo'nae.

"You rented this whole floor?" I asked. Him and Demarcus nodded their heads.

"Bitch." I said to Jo'nae.

"He got money!" She said looking at the both of them. We dropped our bags and ran up and down the hallways. We raced from wall to wall as the men watched us. I got tired quickly. So I walked over to Jay holding my belly.

"Peanut wants you to sit yo ass down." He said touching my lower back. He motioned for Jo'nae to follow us and we all went to this huge suite. It was beautiful and it looked over the water.

"Wow." I said walking in. "This is beautiful Jay."

"Whatcha wanna do first?" He asked setting down our bags.

"To bed." I said walking in one of the rooms. Jay came up behind me after a while and put our bags against the wall.

"You still tired bae?"

"Did you not just see me run up and a hallway?" I said sitting up.

"Ain't nobody tell you to dat."

"I had to running in hotel hallways hit different. I feel like I pick up speed faster."

"Aight sonic." I pushed his arm playfully and he laughed. "But fr whatcha wanna do bae?"

"What they got here?" He went and grabbed a pamphlet of the dresser and started flipping through it.

"They got a buffet, indoor and outdoor pool, a jungle gym for kids, a workout gym, a spa-" I cut him off.

"Spa! I wanna go to the spa!" I said with a smile.

"Aight change into that robe then" He said pointing to the robe hanging on the wall. I got into a simple sports bra and biker shorts before putting the robe on with these fuzzy slippers I brought with me.

I left the room and everyone had on swimming stuff instead of Jay and Me.

"Where ya going?" I asked.

"We going to the pool. Where you going with that hot ass rob on." Jo'nae asked me.

"You makin me hot" She said fanning herself.

"Girl shut up, I am going to the spa." I looked over at Jay who was completely clothes too. He had on his black joggers and black tee.

"Where you going bae?" I asked him.

"With you." He lead me out the room and onto the elevator. "How you feeling?"

"Good. Just a little hungry." I said holding his hand and leaning on his arm.

"Let me know what you guys want to eat." He said pointing to my tummy. I looked down and back up smiling. I wrapped my arms around him while my belly sat between us and pulled him into a kiss.

"You're taking such good care of me." I say looking into his eyes.

"Once your with me your safety and your health is my #1 priority and since we are growing a family, both your safety and health is my #1 priority."

I felt my heart warm up when he said that. This blanket of safety fell over me.

"Come on ma. Let's get you to dat spa." He kissed my forehead and took my hand guiding me out the elevator.

The spa was so peaceful. I wanted to lay down to get a massage so bad. But the baby bump prevents me from laying down on my stomach. I smile and rub my belly. Jay was next to the whole time just keeping me company. We talked most of the time except for them I had the mask and cucumbers on.

"Baby you should do this." I said with the cucumbers on my eyes.

"Nah, ion like people touching my face. They can have that." I laughed and reached my hand over to touch his face. When I did he leaned his face into my hand more.

After about and hour of relaxing We made our way back to the room.

"How you feelin" Jay asked me holding my hand as we exited the elevator.

"Really good. I'm so relaxed and at ease." I said closing my eyes. "But now I'm sleepy." Jay looked over at me.

"You know your beautiful." He told me.

"I am?"

"Yea really beautiful. I knew when I first saw you that I wanted you." He started to swing our hands and smile hard.

He's in love.

"Wait, why you sayin this all of a sudden?" I asked looking up at him.

"Because I read that women usually feel insecure while their pregnant. They start to think they ain't beautiful. I just wanted to remind you. And Imma keep doing that ma."

"Baby, that's sweet. But you read somewhere?"

"Yea, ever since I found out you were carrying my seed. I read about each trimester. You're in the first one right now. So you're straight but they say the second and third are always the worse." He pulled out his phone and showed me what he read.

"And I read about Postpartum Depression. I gotchu ma." He kissed my hand. "I've never been so ready to see someone in my life. My little peanut." He said rubbing my belly. My bump is small and his hands are big so it looks kinda like a kickball in his hands.

"Alright come on me. Go take ya shower and get those oils off you." Jay said opening the room door.

I walked to our room and took out a long sleeve black shirt and some nike shorts. I took my shower and got dressed before standing in the mirror of our room. I was looking at my bump. It's so cute. The baby is really growing.

"I would guard you with my life little bean." I say to myself rubbing my belly. I grabbed my phone and took an Instagram picture.

This bitch Rachel annoying like i'm not your sis. I ignored it and walked into the living room where Jay was. He was on his phone scrolling when I came in but tucked it when I came closer. I peeped that. I brushed it off though. Lemme not overthink.

"Whatchu doin bae?" I said wrapping my arms around his next.

"Nope. Nothing. You're not finna know about this one for a while." He said flipping his phone over.

"What is it !" I said with a serious face.

"Baby how can I plan shit as a surprise and you keep buttin in wanting to know everything!" He said pulling me on his lap. He held my bump and kissed all of my face.

"You guys hungry?" He asked me. I nodded and he got on the phone.

"Whatchu wanna eat?" He asked me.

"Ice cream." I said quickly.

"Bae, you can get ice cream but you need to eat a solid food."

"Um, pizza and fries" I said with a smile.

He ordered the food and when it came to the room he set it out for me. I ate with him and talked about he baby. After a while I got full and tired. I got up and started to clean up my mess when Jay stopped me.

"I got it ma. Go head and lay down." He said taking the plates it my hand.

"Bae I got it. I know how to clean up after myself." I said trying to take the plate back.

"You're pregnant I got it !"

"I'm not that pregnant!" I said to him. He laughed and cleaned up the mess while I went to go lay down. I drifted of to sleep so fast. I soon as I hit them blankets.
