I ran outside to see my daddy and he was talking to the other military officers

"Ry go inside "my daddy said "but daddy mommy said she was coming home at 5 and its 7 "I said "I know go in the house baby "he said I ran innthe house I grabbed the house phone I called my mom she didnt answer I called again she didnt answer I went to my room I grabbed my bear she got me for if I'm ever sad

My daddy knocked on my door

"Can I come in princess "he said "yes "I said he came in and sat by me in my bed

"Hey ry mommy died "he said I looked at him "no daddy that's not a good joke "I said "it's not a joke baby "he said

"I want my mommy "I said "I know rylan but she is gone shes with grandma and grandpa now "he said "i wanna be with them "I said "but i need you here with me "he said

"Daddy "I said crying he pit me on his lap and hugged me i cried so hard i know in the military people die cause they are fighting for our country but my mommy is a nurse she dont fight daddy does

"Daddy why didnt you die too "I said "I wish it was me abd not your mommy but god wanted her back remember what mommy said God does everything for a reason and this had a reason"he said I noddee still crying so hard

"No daddy I have to work tonight I'm on the night shift till they find me a a different hospital that needs me "I said "baby you look so tired you nedd to sleep "he said

"Daddy I know your worried about me abd I love you for that but I know how to make time for myself "I said "ry I just dont want you yo crash from working this much think about your health and your body "he said "daddy I am that's why I'm going to go to sleep till 8 then I'm going to work "I said

"Okay eat this first "he said I nodded I sat at the table and he made my plate and gave me a bottle of water and I prayed and then started eating he sat down

Its always been just us since my mom died and i love this more then anything but my daddy man is so strict

"Ry if you get posted at a hospital will you you be there a day ir a month of a year "he said

"Well the way the these kids are getting sick probably a few months I dobt think a year cause we get moved so much "I said "okay "he said

"Yoy know I wouldnt accept that the a year no I would miss you to much "I said he laughed

"I love you babygirl mom would be so proud "he said I smiled

I finished eating and I went to my room I just fell into my bed I grabbed my bear abd went to sleep

"Nurse Anthony can you get me some food "mr Jameson said "they should be bring dinner around in ten minutes let me get all your medicine so you can eat "I said he nodded I got his meds I watched him take them then I walked out I went to the nurse stand I called and asked if they were bribg food up they said yes

So I was just working on my list of places I would go so they can assign me to a different hospital

Then my boss came to me

"Ms Anthony how are you today "he said "I'm good "I said "good have you finished your list "he said "yes I have it right here "I said I gave it to him he looked at his iPad

"Could you do Chicago tomorrow night the are under staff "he said "yes tomorrow "I said "yes I wanna send you "he said "okay they know im coming "I said "just sent the email "he said "okay "I said "go ahead and go home and get yourself ready and they will be ready for you tomorrow "he said I nodded I clocked out and got my stuff I went home my dad was reading a book sitting on the couch

"Daddy I was assigned "I said "where "he said "Chicago "I said "make some friends there ry "he said "I'll try but I leave tomorrow afternoon so wanna do our breakfast tomorrow before I leave "I said "yeah go sleep you look tired "he said I nodded and went upstairs I took a shower and started packing I checked my checklist I had everything I needed to get a new toothbrush

I need to get hair stuff snd my skincare stuff I made a note and I packed my favorite scrubs I was done so I braided my hair back my dad knocked on my door

"Goodnight babygirl I love you "he said "goodnight daddy "I said "i love you "I said i sat in my bed i watched power and went to sleep
