The ringing of the bell signaled for all the students to head to lunch. Walking down the hall, Monoma stayed closely near kendou, his best friend. He liked the way her hair moved when she walked, so kendou allowed him to walk behind her. Messing with it whenever he liked. The pair entered the lunchroom, the stream of voices clogged the air, the smell of food floated around as they both made their way into the line. Monoma held onto the bottom of kendous shirt, messing with the fabric between his fingers. The smell of food made him smile, training and taking tests had made him hungry. And he knew the lunch room had great food to eat.
Kendou got herself food, waiting for Monoma before heading over to their frequently used table. Sitting down on the bench, Monoma wiggled his way next to her, blocking kendou in the booth. Happy with the arrangements, Monoma picked up his utensils and began to eat. Talking to kendou about whatever came to mind, hyping themselves up about the early dismissal that was soon. Kendou didn't entirely mind, of course she never really liked being cramped. But it was a small sacrifice for monomas comfort. Kendou always had a problem with listening and eating at the same time, or at least looking like she was listening. As the minutes past by she slowly came to notice monoma had stopped talking.
Glancing over kendou saw he was still eating, but his mood had definitely changed. Turning her body around to face him, she tilted her head to the side. "And then what happened" seeing Monomas eyes light up again made kendou happy. Monoma never admitted it, but she knew he thought she would one day get tired of him. Suddenly find him annoying and leave him alone with no one to make sure he was okay. But kendou knew she would never do that willingly, she cared too much about her best friend.
