Little! Ranboo (1-3), tubbo (4) tommy (2)
Cg! None
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As the stream finally ended and the equipment was turned off. All the boys slumped onto the couch, they had just spent the last hour playing wii-games and boy were they pooped. Still giggling at his joke, tommy looked over at ranboo and tubbo "that was fun, we should play again at some point" to which ranboo nodded in agreement. Pulling off the mask and glasses, ranboo rubbed his eyes, stretching out his muscles. "What do you guys wanna do now?" He asked, turning his head to look at the other two boys. "You know what sounds great?" Tubbo said, stifling a yawn, sitting up in his spot. "What?" Tommy asked, crossing his arms across his chest. "Lets just say fuck it and have a playdate dude, parents are at work, lani and teagan are at a friends house. Nothing could go wrong and i know for a fact we'll all have fun"
Ranboo immediately perked up at the idea, nodding his head in agreement "tubbo has a point, i dont see any problem with it. I'm in" of course tommy didn't have to be told twice, he also agreed. All three boys went to tubbos closet, pulling out a large blue storage tot that no one was using. Opening the hatch, it was filled with small clear bags full of wooden blocks, toy cars, lincoln logs, a elephant that blew butterflies from its trunk (along with three butterfly nets), sanitized teethers, sensory baby toys, etc etc. Basically, anything a spoiled baby could ever want. Of course it was being shared by two other people, so it wasn't anything crazy when you think of it. "Alright first let's get blankets on the floor, so we can be comfy" tubbo said, pulling out blankets from the top shelf on the closet. Ranboo helped tubbo spread the blankets across the floor, while tommy placed the tot on the sidelines.
Before anything else could get done, tommy got bored and pushed over the tot. Spilling the contents of it all over the floor, all eyes went to the scattered items that laid all over the blankets. Only two pairs of those eyes landed on the same object, a sensory cube, each side having a different color and activity on it. One side was crinkly, one side had velcro animals on it, one had a clear lining that covered a sparkly gel, etc. It was tubbos prized possession, it took him so long to find something that perfect. And tommy and ranboo both wanted to play with it. Both boys were in close range of where the toy had fallen, so they both dived for it. Ranboo, whos headspace felt like slamming into a brick wall, grabbed onto one corner of the toy. Attempting it take it from him, tommy pushed ranboo with one hand, the other gripping onto the other half of the toy. Whining in frustration, ranboo tugged on the toy "let gooo!" At that point tubbo finally stepped in, gently wrestling it from their hands "gotta share! Share" he exclaimed, watching as tommy huffed, crossing his arms across his chest. They all had already gotten into their headspaces at that point.
Tommy shook his head "i had it first" he claimed, reaching out for it. Thought tubbo shook his head, giving it back to ranboo, who smiled with glee. "Nuh uh ranboo had it first, he gets first turn" tommy wasnt very happy with that answer, but didn't try to argue, instead he just sat down, grabbing a few hotwheels from one of the bags.
Ranboo sat on the floor as well, shaking the cube in his hands, eyes lighting up at the beans rattling inside. The colors and crinkle of the cube made ranboo very happy, scratching the right part of his brain. Of course, tubbo joined tommy with the cars, bumping them into each other, racing their cars, making noises to represent them moving. The boys kept to themselves, not talking to eachother much unless needed. Eventually, ranboo stood up with the cube, trotting to the kitchen, wanting something to drink.
Entering the kicthen, ranboo opened the fridge. Grabbing himself a capri sun, the fruit punch flavor of course, before tottling back over to the two boys. Tommy and tubbo had gotten bored of the cars, now wanting to play with the Lincoln logs. Opening the bag, tommy and tubbo grabbed a few handfulls, beginning to build houses and what they called 'rockets'. Ranboo sat on the couch, chewing the strings to his hoodie, watching tommy and tubbo play with the logs. The cube still held tightly in his long arms.
"Wanna come play wif the logs boo?" Tommy asked, noticing his tall friend laying on the couch. To which ranboo shook his head no, just wanting to lay down and hold his cube.
Eventually all the boys got bored of the toys, putting them all back (except the cube) they decided to watch cartoons instead, immediately sitting on the fluffy blankets and turning on peppa pig. All eyes were glued to the screen, Ranboo slowly dropping more into his headspace, leaning against the couch with a blanket wrapped around his shoulders. Tubbo noticed and made sure to turn the volume down so it wasn't too loud for him, slowly scooting a soother over to him in case he'd need it. Which he very much did need it, after five seconds it was placed comfortably in his mouth, ranboos eyes struggled to say open as he began to get tired from the stream and goofing around.
Tommy and tubbo gently got ranboo laid on the couch, covering him in fluffy blankets. Not a single complaint left ranboos mouth as he was out like a light in seconds. Small snores was the only thing they heard as the two remaining boys cleaned everything up, slowly trudging out of their headspaces. After all was done, tommy and tubbo turned on a movie, goofing around on their phones as they waited for ranboo to wake up and for tubbos parents to come home.
A Virtual Invasion
An invasion from another dimension is shut down by an Empire's traitor and the world has a scant few decades to build the strength to resist a multidimensional Empire. How will the world fair when no one even knows its doom is one barred gate away? Fortunately, the traitor has a plan. Maybe with a bit of luck and planning, he can build a force to defend the world without anyone realizing it. Author's Thoughts: What is litRPG (From wikipedia) - LitRPG, short for Literary Role Playing Game, is a literary genre combining the conventions of MMORPGs with science-fiction fantasy novels.[1] LitRPG is a literary genre where games or game-like challenges form an essential part of the story. A LitRPG work simultaneously narrates the story of characters inside and outside of the game-world. At least some of the characters in a LitRPG novel therefore understand that they are playing a game: they are 'meta-aware'. So, while Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel, a book about people creating avatars and interacting in a Lord of the Rings MMORPG would be a LitRPG novel.Why do I read them? You know, I am not too sure. I love MMOs. I played them, quit them, joined up and repeated the cycle. They are fun! They are a massive waste of time but so are most games. Do I want to read about someone else playing them? Sort of?The advent of VR and the possibility of VR someday becoming so immersive that you can't tell them from reality sets the imagination on fire. What if this could be life? But most stories fall short. At the end of the day the protagonist hangs up his VR helmet and goes to have dinner with his mom and dad or other family and it becomes meaningless. It's like the story that ends because the main character woke up and nothing you read matters.There have been some books that explore the concept of the intersection of reality and total immersion VR. Enders Game is a classic. There were a few others that escape me but they exist, however, the cross between the game and reality is weak.So what if the game was real? The technology needed for total immersion VR is so advanced that by the time we reach that goal technology should have naturally evolved to include several items. You must have direct neural input. You simply can't have a total immersion (all senses and perfect presence) experience without this basic prerequisite. If you have direct neural access, you can probably do neat things like feed knowledge and skills directly to that person. You can undoubtedly do many horrible things as well. Muscles are controlled by the brain. If you control the brain why would you let the body just sit there and rot? A person that sits unmoving for 24 hours a day will have their body whither away just like a coma patient. However, if you control the brain you could control the muscles. On a basic level, this would be isometric impulses, working muscle group against muscle group to avoid atrophy. Taken to its logical conclusion you would be able to gain muscle mass and program muscle memory. The flip side is that you could remote control their body... but let's not go there. So what would people do if it were real? Well, they would probably limit and regulate it since the drawbacks are very obvious. Even if you look at the basic aspects of this you can see some negative possibilities. Look at the Sword Art Online anime. Personally, I think they missed the boat by putting a bomb in the VR helmet. Do you really need a bomb when you have direct access to the brain?So what kind of events would you need to have a situation where the obvious drawbacks haven't been explored? Maybe a society where the advancement of technology has so far outstripped the explorations of its applications that ignorance was truly bliss? Okay, so I had to put in an alien invasion to kickstart the premise, but that was just one of the possibilities.
Another world
For some, this old story would always be altered, but the outcome was always the same. 'The Evening Celebration.' Some blame humanity for provoking them, while others accuse monsters from another realm, and a few believed it was all merely the devil's fault. There is now a killer in the city. Attacking all the young ladies, pulling something from within them, and abandoning them on the doorsteps of their loved ones. Exactly similar to the old story. Will this issue ever be resolved, or will it be the start of something new? Ignoring the matter is also an option. Continuing with their everyday routine is generally a wise decision. That's just for the time being, of course. Till the plot leads them to someone they should have never encountered.
