Me: Some of you might hate me for this chapter. I do promise it ends happily, so please don't hit me. This is our final chapter and our goodbye. Thank you for reading my story. It has meant so much to see your comments, and to hear how much you all love it. Sadly, no one will be joining me for this intro to the chapter. Now, for the last time in this story, I do not own ghost hunt. Enjoy.

Many years have passed by since (Y/N) and the team had met. Most of their team has already passed on to the next life. They have been lucky to be able to say goodbye after death, through (Y/N). They all are called the old people at this point in their lives. The only members of the team left are Mai, Naru, and (Y/N), and they just said goodbye to Yasuhara after he had gotten sick. Mai, says goodbye to her friends and heads to her home, with her youngest's family.
After a few months pass by, Mai passes away, leaving the only team members, Naru and (Y/N) to say goodbye. When they have said goodbye to her, they go to their home and sit down in their recliners.
(Y/N) speaks up, "Naru. You must get ready to say goodbye to me. I will be the next one to go. And after I die you must not return to your old self, because I will always be watching over you." When she says that, a tear slips down his wrinkly face. He slowly gets up and goes over to her, giving her a hug. "Just know that I won't be far behind you, after all, I can't live without you."
Two years go by, the two of them finishing getting things in their life in order.

One night they lay down to sleep and hold each other close. As they sleep, (Y/N) wakes up floating over her own body. She stands there watching her husband, waiting for him to wake up.
When the sun starts to rise, she feels a tap on her shoulder, and she instantly knows who it is, so she turns to her husband. He then says, "I told you I wouldn't be far behind." The two of them see a light and walk to it, holding hands.
The moment they walk in they see their old team, all of them looking as they did when they had become an official team. They say hello, all knowing that they never have to say goodbye again.

[This story is on a temporary hiatus due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. I work in healthcare and unfortunately no longer have the freetime to continue posting on a regular basis. As soon as our workload decreases, I will return. Thanks for reading! 💙] No one ever knows the whole story. Nestled deep in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, something is emerging. Kept in absolute secrecy, it seeps into a fading town, quietly shared from person to person. For Alden Bensen, a directionless high school graduate, this discovery could mean an escape from his empty existence. To Rachel DuValle, perpetually underestimated and dismissed by the world, magic represents a chance to become something much greater than herself. In the face of an unsuspecting world, their decisions shape the growth of a budding society discovering untold power. This potent force offers anyone the power to change humanity forever—or send it cascading into swift and total annihilation. Want this story in smaller bites? Click here!
