December 5th
I was walking to school, stepping in the snow that came down last night. I think of the dream I had while I was asleep. In the dream they have solved the case and are celebrating, me celebrating with them. It's the happiest dream I have ever had. The best part is, I can tell it happens tomorrow. The worst part is, everybody has cuts and other injuries. It has me worried, what's going to happen between now and then. The crazy thing is, they canceled school for they rest of the week because of danger possibilities, and they don't know when it will finish.
When I walk in to the base, Mai is making tea, Naru and Lin are at the computers looking over things, and everyone else is talking. "Hello everybody, time to get this finished before tomorrow afternoon." Everyone looks at me. Then John asks, "Why by then?" "Because that's when we celebrate. Happy dreams are the best, aren't they." I sit down and relax, while everyone goes back to what they had been doing.
After a couple of hours pass by, I say, "Naru, camera 8, demon appears..... now." He looks at the screen for camera 8 and sees the demon walking around. When Mai see it she screams, then the demon turns to the camera, looking angry. "So that's why we were all injured. The demon is about to come here." That is when everyone gets serious, and gets ready to fight.
Then I look at the screens and see the demon walking through the halls, on its way to us. Then it is standing just outside the door. All the lights are out and we are all being as silent as we can. We don't hear a thing until finally, the door bursts open revealing the demon, and it attacks. Everyone is trying everything they can to stop it, but nothing works. The windows break and glass starts flying all over the room, cutting everyone's skin. Then the demon heads right for me and Naru pulls me out of the way. "Everyone out of the room!" He yells. I wonder why, until I see everything around us floating in the air.

He pulls me out of the room with him and runs. We continue running until he pulls me into a room, and behind the desk in there. We are both breathing heavily, trying to calm our beating hearts. "You're bleeding." Naru says quietly. Then I say, "You're bleeding more. Why did you do that, why did you pull me out of the way? You could have gotten terrible injured." "I pulled you out of the way to make sure you didn't get hurt. If I had pushed you out of the way, it would be more likely for me to get injured. It was the best option." I stare at him quietly for a few seconds, then I hear a whistle. I then hear the demon yelling, I can tell it is trying to fight.
I get up and head to the door, opening it, Naru following after. The demon is right in front of me, then turns to look at me. It then disappears, going back into hiding to gain more strength. "He will be back guys." That is when I start to fall down, feeling someone catch me.
When the demon disappears, I notice everyone has gathered back together. Luckily Lin called his shiki, or there would of most likely been many more injuries. "He will be back guys." (Your name) says, then she starts to fall down, and I instantly catch her. Then Ayako sighs, "She isn't used to things like this, she became exhausted from all of what just happened. She should just need some rest." We all head back to base, I lay (Your name) down then help clean up the mess.
After sometime everything is how it should be, except the windows have no glass in them. Another expense they will ask us to pay for. I look over at (Your name) and see her sleeping peacefully. 'I'm glad she isn't badly injured.' The rest of us got some fairly deep cuts and some nasty bruises. I'm just glad she isn't, she only got some small scrapes, and a couple shallow cuts on her arms and legs. I still do not understand why I want her to be safe more than anyone else, I just naturally do.

After a bit of time passes by (Your name) wakes up. Ayako walks over to her to take care of her wounds. "You have a couple of small cuts on your side. Can you roll up your shirt a bit so I can take care of them?" Ayako asks. "Sure." Then the next thing I hear is Ayako saying, " Oh my word!" I turn around in worry. "(Your name), where did you get that? You needed stitches for it. What happened?" Ayako asks, looking sorry. That is when (Your name) sighs.
"Ever since I was little I have talked with spirits, seen parts of the future, had abilities no one would even think possible. Every time I could, I would try to help spirits to move on. A couple months ago, I was trying to help one that was very dangerous. He was stuck in a grocery store, now that does seem weird, but five months before I met him, there was a man robbing the store. He had a gun and wanted everybody's money. Then the gun was aimed at a young mother, and this guy, which I later found out was named Tanner, would not let an innocent young mother get shot. So he stood in-between the gun and the mother and her child. The robber didn't like that, so he shot Tanner. Luckily the police arrived before he could shoot anyone else. But Tanner could not be saved. He became angry, towards everybody. So he attacked me, using whatever he could. He gave me a huge gash on my side. So after I got him to calm down, I helped him move on, then I went to the hospital. It was hard, but it was all worth it."
"Stupid girl, that could of killed you!" Ayako yells at her. Then I walk over and say, "(Your name), go home and rest. Come back tomorrow at around noon. You need the rest right now. But, before you leave. If you would like to join us on more cases let me now." Then she tilts her head and stares at me. That is when Mai pipes up again, like she does too much. "He is asking if you want to join our team (Your name)!" That is when she smiles. "Oh, yes, of course. That would be so cool if I could. Bye bye." She starts on her way home while everyone waves goodbye. While I just stand in the back ground, wondering why she is on my mind so much. Trying to figure out why I seem to care about her so much.
