*Jayden*
"Marc!" I raised my eyebrows at how Corey didn't even bother to knock before he shoved the door to this person's house open.
"I love how all of you kids just blatantly ignore the fact that I need privacy." A sarcastic voice from the kitchen made me smile.
"We love it too," The man narrowed his eyes as Corey and I entered his kitchen. He seemed to be cooking and was currently chopping vegetables. "Why are you using a knife? It would be so much faster to just –" Corey pointed to a carrot and it was perfectly sliced instantly. I wasn't surprised. I knew Galaxy wolves had a magic element to them since Kaden had told me their deceased Luna, the wife of the current Alpha Ian, had been part witch.
"Because, Corey," The man grabbed another carrot, "Sometimes chopping this way is just better, more calming and I have the time." He said.
"Still renovating?" Corey asked as he hopped onto the counter beside the fridge.
"Corey, off." The man frowned, Corey rolled his eyes as he hopped off the counter and settled for leaning against it which still seemed to bother the man but he kept quiet. "Humans are very slow renovators, I'll be here for about another couple of months before they're 'almost finished'." The man looked behind Corey at me, "You're rude." He said pointedly to Corey who frowned and motioned to me.
"Marcus this is uh... Jayden. Jayden, Marcus." My breath caught when I heard him say my name. That was literally the first time he had said it. Ever.
"Hi, Jayden. You're from Inferno?" Marcus asked.
"Yes, Sir," I replied politely. He smiled.
"Anyway, there's a reason why we're here. I need you to use your 'superior magic' to do something." Corey said. I looked at him but he wasn't looking at me. Did he mean what I thought he meant...? Marcus chuckled.

"I'm not upgrading your car, again, Corey," Marcus said.
"It's not that, I love my car," Corey smiled before it fell, "I need you to fix something the Gods might have mistaken." He said. No. I felt my heart drop as a ball grew in my throat. Was he being serious?
"A mistake made by the Gods? Corey, if this is about your mysterious mate that everyone's talking about, meeting your mate doesn't always go smoothly, it'll blow over –" Marcus was saying.
"No, no it won't. You don't understand –" Corey began.
"Corey, as strong as I am, that's not enough to undo something done by Gods and I'm sure that if you do find someone that can do what you want, you'll regret it. Think this through slowly, nothing can be that bad that you –"
"He's a fucking guy, Marcus." Corey cut him off. Marcus's eyes widened and he glanced by Corey at me. He cleared his throat before speaking again.
"Uh... Jay...den?" He asked slowly.
"Yes." Corey spat, I almost cringed at the amount of acid that covered just that one word, "Please, Marc. I need you to fix it, I'm begging you." The helplessness in his voice devastated me but what was worse was what he wanted.
Marcus looked past Corey at me.
"And you're okay with this 'fixing' thing?" He asked. Of course not. I didn't speak, the ball in my throat would have made it impossible to anyway, so I just shrugged. Marcus sighed. "Corey, I wish I could help, I really do, but like I said; not even I am strong enough to undo something the Gods did." I saw Corey's jaw clench, I could feel his frustration and hoped to God he couldn't feel my pain. "I... might know someone though... But I think you two need to be on the same page about this for her to be able to do anything." Marcus added.

"We are. Who is she? Where is she?" Corey asked.
I looked down. I guess there would be no point in trying when all he so desperately wanted was a new mate.
"The –" Marcus began but my phone went off. Corey sent me a glare which I ignored while tapping the screen to answer the call. I barely even managed to lift it to my ear before the person spoke.
"Jayden! Where are you? What's going on? You leave with Corey who practically wakes up pissed at you and you don't tell anyone in the pack where you're going?!" I glanced at Corey to see his confused face at the reason Alpha Joe seemed concerned about me. We had only been gone for about an hour.
"Uh... I'm fine. We're at Galaxy." I mumbled glancing at Marcus who, like Corey, was listening to my phone call because all werewolves had superhuman hearing abilities, some even better than others.
"I haven't killed him yet, Joe." Corey called, "Not worth my energy anyway." He muttered. I looked away from Marcus as he raised his brows at Corey.
"Cor –" Joe began.
"We'll be back soon. See you then, Joe." I said.
I heard him sigh.
"Fine. See you. You better be back before dark."
"I will be." We hung up.
"What's with the baby treatment from Joe?" Corey frowned at me.
"It's not..." I drifted, "Let's just go."
"Where is she?" Corey looked at Marcus.
"The Apocalypse Peaks." My eyes widened at how casually he said that and Corey's jaw dropped.
"What? Why? Why would anyone live there?!" Corey asked.
"She's very weird." Marcus chuckled to himself.
"No shi –" Corey stopped when Marcus frowned, "Sorry, Marc, talk to you later. Thank you." Corey smiled.
"Uh-huh. By the way, Cole and Ian are looking for you and Sean." Marcus said.
"You never saw me!" Corey hissed running from the room. Marcus burst out laughing and I chuckled.
Well, at least I knew I wasn't the only thing he hated.
