《The Feral, Alpha K》TWENTY TWO

I listened closely as Beta X prepped me with the task at hand for the 10th time.
" I assured him as I wiped my palms on my jeans. Xeon's eyes darted to Alpha who was sitting in his office chair glaring at us both menacingly.
Xeon grumbled.
I hissed out before turning towards the Alpha.
Xeon motioned towards the Alpha who seemed quite annoyed with us both. Valnush wasn't here to keep us from butting heads, Xeon said she was sick. I needed to find time to visit her, maybe i could could cook something for her and drop it off.
A part of me was relieved he trusted me enough not wire me, because then my plan would fail. I wasn't going to tell him shit, I had a lot of time to think last night after dinner. I couldn't sleep at all due to guilt eating up at me. Whatever my brother was apart of was for the better, I would stand on the side with the good not the evil.
I nodded in response before leaving the office. I knew my decisions from here on would come back to bite me in the ass. Without another word I left the Alpha's office before leaving to go meet Sam. I had told him earlier to meet at the cabin for lunch today.
As I walked through the pack house some pack members greeted me while others ignored me completely. It was apparent to most people I was approaching my heat soon, hypothetically speaking most of them seen the male mark me, I could also feel the changes within me.
I hate to admit it but the idea of mating with male didn't sound so bad to my 'mate obsessed' brain. The bond I feel for him only continues to grow as each day goes on, I fear that my love for him will affect my morals. I will always fight the bond when it comes to that aspect, I wasn't a bad person. I wasn't like my mate. I will never approve of his tyranny nor agree with trauma he puts the people of Osnia through.
Before I knew it, I had walked down the trail leading to the cabin before spotting Avery sitting on the porch. What I didn't expect to see was Ezekiel sitting next to him. For once Avery didn't look so hostile in his presence. I didn't want to intrude on there moment but also didn't want to spy on them. Ezekiel was a quite bigger than Avery when it came to muscle and height, even though Avery was a few years Ezekiel's senior.

As I looked closer I could see water blurring Avery's blue eyes. Ezekiel seemed worried and triggered by the sight of Avery's tears. In one quick motion Avery grabbed Ezekiel's jaw turning his head until they were facing each other.
Avery whispered as he lowered his eyes. Ezekiel brushed Avery's shaggy dirty blonde hair behind his ear.
Ezekiel's hand trailed behind Avery's neck before he grabbed onto his hair pulling until Avery's neck was exposed. Ezekiel ran has nose against Avery's neck as he pulled him closer.
Avery whispered something that I couldn't interpret causing Ezekiel let go of him abruptly before turning around and making eye contact with me. Ezekiel seemed a bit flustered with my presence considering I seen him all over my brother.
I stood there too long wit my mouth gaping open like a dumbass I rushed out quickly as I approached the steps of the cabin.
Ezekiel responded before sending Avery another glance filled with determination. Avery stared back with an unreadable expression. Whatever was going on between them was obviously causing whatever relationship they shared to be rocky.
Avery and I both stayed quiet until Ezekiel disappeared out of sight into the trees. " I chimed as entered the cabin.
H e growled as he walked in after me.
I questioned as I sat down on the couch. I was sure Mom and Dad would be happy with news. Avery sat across from me before eyeing the interior of my home.
He responded with a trace of attitude in his tone. " I could tell he just wanted to change the topic so I just went along with it.
I retorted before rolling my eyes. But honestly speaking it sounds like something he would do considering he threatened to chain me in his room like some sort of concubine.
he replied
I responded before walking to kitchen to gather the ingredients.
I frowned as my scanned over the fridge. " I concluded before sitting back down on the couch. But then I realized, I didn't have a phone since the Alpha never gave it back since the day we met.
He questioned angrily, he rolled his eyes before they narrowed on me again. He was right, we could eat later.
I was desperate and didn't want my character to a reflection of Alpha K's. We weren't alike at all.
He muttered as he leaned forward.
I stared into Avery's honest blue eyes as my heart beated rapidly.
I nodded as I took time to process this information.

I couldn't help the fuzzy feeling that took over my heart. I've never felt like I belonged anywhere so hearing my older brother say this really warmed my heart.
Before I knew it was walking up the stairs in the pack house with a stomach full of dread.
Ezekiel had stopped by to tell me the Alpha was requesting my presence. I hugged Avery goodbye and told him we'd talk more later before he left with Ezekiel.
Avery and I had ended up talking about our family, it just made me miss Lizzo and Dax even more. I was missing out on them growing up. I didn't ask about Sam because frankly I didn't care what she was up to. He told me Mom and Dad missed me very much and that Dad regrets being so hard on me all the time. I just wish I could've heard it from Dad's mouth directly.
I took a deep breathe before pushing open his office door. I could tell by their awaiting gazes that they had heard me coming. I felt my throat get dry as I began to feel light headed.
Xeon grunted impatiently. My eyes darted to his hard calculating one's, what was up with this asshole?
Alpha K's voice boomed causing a shiver to run through my body. I hated it, I felt like moth and he was the flame. It felt like there was a force begging me to jump on him. Xeon stayed silent as he got up, his boots sent vibrations through the floor as he exited the room, the door clicking behind him.
I wondered if he was in a sour mood because of me? Did he take offense to being asked to leave? I was starting to think he had a personal vendetta against me.
My eyes shot up to he his low amber ones. He was leaning back in his large throne-like chair.
Instantly I made my way towards his desk, I waited patiently by his side as I looked up at him waiting for his instructions. His hand snaked around my waist before pulling me onto his lap. I didn't have much time to adjust before there was a knock at door.
The door opened revealing a couple maids wheeling in a big silver cart, they kept their heads down as the rounded the desk and began placing out bottle of alcohol and silverware. My mouth watered and my stomach grumbled as piping hot plate of food was placed in front of us. Without another word, they quickly exited the room.
My eyes scanned over the bottle of alcohol and the empty cup right next to it. My body moved forward as he leaned against my back. His arms were either side of me as he opened the the bottle before filling the glass almost to the brim. I turned in his lap as I watched him bring the glass to his full lips and down the drink in one shot.
His eyes met mine once more before he licked his lips, uneasiness flooded me as he leant down towards me, his lips were only an inch away from mine. His hand snaked up to jean clad thigh before gripping it lightly.
He commanded, I pulled away before staring down at the big plate in front of me. If he wanted me to eat his dinner, I would do so gladly. I was so hungry.
A large sizzling juicy steak, loaded mashed potatoes and asparagus. Without wasting anymore time I began to dig in, moaning at the taste of the meat melting on my tongue.
As I ate the meal he continued to rub my thigh as he sipped on the glass of alcohol he refilled. When I couldn't eat anymore I leant back with a sigh.
He grabbed my chin forcing me to face him.
His voice was dark and cold, If he wasn't holding me so tightly I was sure I'd be trembling.
I could feel my throat close as I struggled to breathe. Think Nalu! Say something.
Avery's words replayed in my head once again.
I whispered. An emotion I couldn't read crossed over his face before his lip twitched. His eyes quickly faded to black as he began to breathe heavy. I could tell he was trying to calm himself down, his veins were bulging and temperature.
I stayed as still as I could due to the fact that the fear I felt was paralyzing me.
He questioned, his eyes narrowed almost into slits as he smirked revealing the lengthened teeth of his. The sight of them reminded me of the excruciating pain they caused me when I was marked.
I shook my head before breaking eye contact, I never wanted to lie to him, but I had no other choice. This was for the well being of the wolf's of Osnia.
