《Hazelnut - Ryeji》10

Yeji and I were running.
We were both out of breath and our legs were shaking as we continued running away from out male teacher who was chasing us.
I looked behind me and I saw Yeji weakly running while panting. She was already tired.
Behind Yeji, there's our teacher pointing at us with a frustrated look on his face. He was a little far away from us, but he continued running. I was astonished by his stamina.
"Yeji, run faster!" I said while looking at Yeji.
Yeji stopped running and she placed her hand on her chest while trying to catch her breath. "Ryujin, I'm tired. Let's stop running and face our consequences."
I stopped running and I faced Yeji. "Yeji, do you want to get yelled at by that old man? he's loud." I said and walked towards her.
I agree with Yeji's idea. I honestly started to regret that I told Yeji to run. We could've easily thought of an excuse to our teacher, but I decided to run because who doesn't like thrill?
It has been a while since I had this much fun.
I looked at Yeji's eyes and I offered my hand for her to hold. "Yeji, hold my hand." I said.
Yeji let out a cough while looking at the man behind us. Fortunately, he was a little far away from us and he looked tired. "I'm really tired, Ryujin." She said while trying to control her breathing.
"Yeji, he's getting close to us." Without hesitation, I held Yeji's hand. "Let's go!" I yelled.
We started with a jog because we were still both a little tired. Yeji's legs were obviously exhausted from all that running, but I wasn't tired anymore. One look at Yeji's glowing eyes and I already regained all my energy.
"You okay?" I asked while jogging and holding Yeji's hand. Her hand was warm, soft, and it was shaking a little bit.
Yeji chuckled. "Yeah."
"You kids! stop!" The man behind us yelled in a raspy voice that startled the two of us.
I looked behind us and I chuckled a little bit while looking at the man in his 40s who looked like he was about to pass out. He was sweating so much and his clothes are all wrinkled.

"Yeji, let's run." I whispered to her.
I received a nod and a smile from Yeji. Her excited look came back that made my smile grow bigger.
The two of us ran to the left.
We kept on running away from our teacher and our consequences. After a few seconds of running, our legs started to give up.
We stopped for a moment to catch our breath. I was panting while holding Yeji's hand. "He's getting close, Yeji." I whispered as I heard our teacher's rough footsteps on the pavement.
Yeji held her head out of frustration. "Shoot. What will we do?" She asked me.
I let go of Yeji's hand and I looked around while looking for a good place to hide. "How about there?" I pointed at a blue car on the side of street.
The blue car was parked between a black car and a pink car. I thought that hiding there would be a good idea.
Yeji gave me a nod. "Sure. Let's go."
I held Yeji's hand and the two of us ran towards the blue car to hide and regain our energy.
As we approached the blue car, I started repeating "wows" in my mind as I was fascinated with the design of the car. It had an awesome mixture of light blue, dark blue, and white. The design reminded me of the Gulf of Alaska, the place where two oceans don't mix.
Yeji and I went to the left side of the car and we crouched while looking around trying to find the man who was chasing us.
"Is he there?" I asked while crouching besides Yeji.
Yeji's head was peeking out. I find it a little cute the way Yeji's eyes looked left and right. "Nope." She said.
I let out a sigh of relief. "That's good. He probably gave up. Let's go."
I tried to stand up, but Yeji suddenly grabbed my arm and pulled me down.
"He's right there." Yeji pointed at a certain direction with her eyes and she looked away and sat down on the ground.
I sat down besides Yeji. "If he catches us, we will definitely get in trouble.

Yeji chuckled at me. "I know."
I carefully sat closer to Yeji and I leaned on the car. I looked at Yeji. "Is he still there?" I asked out of curiosity.
Yeji took a peek, but she immediately went down.
"He's still there. What'll we do?" Yeji suddenly faced me that caught me off guard.
Our noses touched.
Our lips were inches away from each other. One push and we will end up kissing. I looked at her eyes and I noticed the panic in her eyes. I compressed my lips and I slowly pulled my face away.
Yeji chuckled awkwardly. "I'm sorry."
"It's okay." I said and smiled at her.
I held Yeji's wrist and said, "Let's go. Our teacher is probably gone." I slowly stood up while looking around.
Yeji carefully stood up and did the same by looking around. "He's gone. Finally." Yeji let out a sigh of relief.
"I'm right here." Someone with a deep voice suddenly spoke behind us that made the two of us jump in fear.
Yeji and I looked at the person behind us and our eyes widened at who our eyes met.
It was our teacher.
"W-we can explain." I said and forced a smile at the man.
Our teacher grabbed Yeji's left ear with his left hand and he grabbed my right ear with his right hand.
Yeji and I winced in pain as he was tightly holding our sensitive ear.
"You two are going back to school!" He yelled.
--
"What a fun day." I said to myself while walking around in circles in our empty classroom.
My classmates are outside having fun, sharing stories with each other, playing sports, and eating.
While Yeji is in the principal's room explaining everything to the principal.
I held my head as the stinging pain came back.
I was hit with a ruler by our teacher. Yeji, on the other hand, didn't get in trouble. I thought of an excuse for her. I told them that Yeji went to the hospital and they all asked why.
It means that I am the only person in the school who knows that Yeji is suffering from cancer.
Suddenly, someone entered the room that made me stop walking.
It was Yeji's friends, Lia and Chaeryeong.
One of their eyebrows were raised and their arms were crossed. They walked towards me while showing off a bossy attitude.
"What?" I said. "What is your probl-"
I was cut off when Lia suddenly dashed towards me and aggressively grabbed my collar. She was fueled up with anger. I didn't know why.
"You!" Lia yelled.
"What?" I asked again.
Lia tightly held my collar. "What is a troublemaker like you doing with Yeji? do you have feelings for her or something?" She asked.
I shook my head in a slow manner. "No. What makes you say that?" I chuckled.
"Lia, stop." Chaeryeong said.
Lia gritted her teeth and let go of my collar. "Why is she hanging out with a person who likes to bully and cause trouble?"
I fixed my collar. "I don't know."
"Don't hurt her." Lia said.
I sighed while looking at Lia. "I won't."
Lia glared at me with her scary eyes. "I know who you are, Shin Ryujin. Let me guess, you are going to seduce our best friend and break up with her!"
I crossed my arms as I felt a little offended with what Lia said. If I was in a bad mood, I would've beat the living hell out of this girl. "I'm not that kind of pers-"
"Sure. I believe you." She scoffed. "I remember when Yeji broke up with her boyfriend. She cried so much! everytime she thinks about her ex-boyfriend, her eyes will release an entire ocean!"
Chaeryeong held the angry girl. "Lia, let's go." She whispered.
The two walked away from me and left me confused.
I slowly faced the floor and I let out a small smile. "I will never hurt you, Yeji."

It's very experimental so readers; do note. There are major changes in writing style within the series as I keep testing things out. Of course, that does not mean that the story actually deviates from its intended progress. It just means that your reading experience may fluctuate quite often... Anyways, I hope you enjoy this story. :D p.s. not sure if there will be any sex scene in this novel but the boy starts off as 7... so... long time till we get there. May have lollies though! Summary: Just the story of a necromancer and his eventual army. Currently, the only major thing of note is a pretty fleshed out magic system. No set list of spells or specific incantations. Just rules similar to the laws of physics, within those laws you can do whatever is possible. Updates: I work Sunday thru Wednesday and updates tend to revolve around my scheduled days off. Currently, I release content as I feel it's ready for release because that's what I myself would prefer from an author. Warnings: This story is graphic. blood/necromancy magic that requires self-harm to use. explicit descriptions of sexuality. (though fairly tame outside of the marked chapters, at least compared to said chapters) and is generally darker in tone. If you're concerned you might start to read only to be turned off by these elements. See 7. Teetering on the Edge for an example of the graphic nature of violence or 9. Explicit Content for a fairly self-contained example of the most explicit of the sexual content.
