A/N: The school izuku goes to is a public school, in my AU all schools in America teach hero classes, only private schools (like UA) have the entry test, meaning quirkless people are also able to be heroes in America, it is much more common and accepted.

Izuku took a deep breath in as he looked up at the gates. He was standing outside his new school, it was a large white building with large gates at the entrance, the gates led to a gravel path that forked off in different directions, its main pathway led to the front door of the school.

Walking through the double doors to the school Izuku was met with the smell of perfume, deodorant, and paper. The hallways were busy as students huddled together and talked to their friend groups, or got things from their lockers, or just made their way to class. Izuku squeezed himself through the crowd of people up to the principal's office, granted he got lost once or twice but he got there.

Izuku knocked on the door, upon hearing a muffled 'enter' he opened the door and walked in. He was met with a rather old lady with silver hair that was wrapped in a tight bun, she was short and stubby and had thin, wire glasses that sat at the end of her nose. She sat at a wooden desk sorting through paper.

"H-hello, I'm the new student," Izuku said as he stood in front of the woman's desk.

"Ah, Izuku Midoriya was it?" She asked as she began looking through the papers on her desk. Izuku nodded in response as he watched her. "Yes, you're in class A, here is your lunch card, your timetable, and your locker number," she said as she handed him a card, a sheet of paper, and a smaller piece of paper.

"Thank you, Mrs," Izuku said as he lifted the sheets.

"Yes, your first class is Mathematics, after that, you have hero courses although, this is a public school so there will be quirkless people fighting," the principal informed as Izuku nodded along. "Although this is a public school it is also a hero school so I expect somewhat good behavior." Her face looked a lot stricter when she said this.

"O-of course!" Izuku assured, the principal sent him a smile before ushering him out of her office.

Silence immediately fell over the previously rowdy classroom as Izuku entered, all eyes fell on him making him extremely uncomfortable.

"Introduce yourself," the teacher ordered.

"Hey, I'm Izuku Midoriya, I have two quirks, pyrokinesis and super-strength. Don't piss me off," he finished sending a glare at his classmates. The teacher rolled her eyes.

'Great, another one,' she thought as she directed the boy to his seat. He ended up sitting next to a pink-haired girl.

"Nice introduction," the girl said cockily.

"Thanks, I thought of it myself," Izuku replied, equally as cocky. The girl smirked at him.

"I feel like we'll get along." She said and Izuku nodded in agreement. "The names Bethany." The two then turned to face the front of the class as their teacher groaned, interrupting their conversation.

"Turns out this is the end of the day. There has been an emergency faculty meeting called, see you all tomorrow." She announced as she looked over the class, her eyes landing on Izuku and Bethany who had gone back to talking to each other, rolling her eyes she walked out. Izuku wasn't too fazed by this considering his teacher in Japan barely taught them because he was too lazy.

"Since this is a free period, wanna meet my friends?" She asked, quirking an eyebrow.

"Sure, why not?" He replied, earning a smirk. The girl then grabbed his hand and dragged him out of the classroom

"Oi!" She shouted as she dragged Izuku to a table where multiple people sat. "Meet Izuku," she introduced, shoving Izuku in front of her.

"Sup, I'm Izuku, my quirks are pyrokinesis and super-strength although I can only control super-strength to about twenty-five percent of its power. If I go over the limit I break my bones," he introduced. A navy-haired boy raised his eyebrow.

"You can only control twenty-five percent of your power?" He asked leaning forward, Izuku hummed in agreement.

"Mhm, yeah."

"Do you think he'll be able to keep up with us?" A brown-haired, what Izuku assumed to be a girl, asked Bethany.

"I'd say I can yeah," Izuku answered for her, smirking. The navy-haired boy leaned forward.

"The name's Damien, glad to know you aren't a coward,"

"Well, I consider myself pretty strong so I'd say I could compete," Izuku replied, smirking back at the boy.

"Hey, guys! What'd I miss?" A voice sounded from behind Izuku, he turned around to see who it was to be met with the boy from the mall.

"Oh, Axel, hey," Izuki greeted as he waved at the boy.

"Izuku? What're you doing here? Also hi," the white-haired boy replied as he looked at his friends for answers.

"He's in my maths class!" Bethany interjected, "and I just introduced him to the group."

"You know him?" Damien asked.

"Yeah, met him at the mall, got his Herogram and everything!" Axel boasted as he walked up and put his arm around Izuku's shoulder. Izuku blushed and it seemed Axel noticed as he then moved his hand to his waist, Izuku turned even redder at the action.

"Wait! You have Herogram!?" The brown-haired girl spoke up again. Izuku nodded. "Give me your phone! I'm adding us all on there!" They shouted causing a couple of people to look at them but they soon went back to what they were doing before once they saw who it was. Izuku complied as he handed the bubbly girl his phone, forgetting to unlock it. "What's your passcode?"

"It's uh, 'Dekusquad' and a heart emoticon," Izuku replied as he leaned slightly into Axel. After about a minute the girl added them all and handed him back his phone. "Can everyone introduce yourselves?" He asked as his eyes scanned the group.

"I'm Bethany, as you know," Bethany said.

"The names Addison! I'm Beth's partner! Also, I go by them/them pronouns," The brown-haired teen introduced.

"You know mine," Damien said.

"Same," Axel agreed.

"Well, I'm Harumi!" A white-haired girl greeted.

"Wow, you're really pretty!" Izuku complimented as he looked at the white-haired girl, he felt Axels' hold tighten but thought nothing of it.

"She's also taken," Damien interrupted as he placed his arm around Harumi's waist.

"I'm also gay," Izuku said in a 'duh' tone as he rested his head against Axel's shoulder. Axel blushed and Addison looked at they're friend group with a smirk.

"Wanna see if he can keep up?" They asked, they got whoops and shouts of agreement in reply.

The group stood in the school's gym, they were about to do a test-like thing to see if Izuku could keep up.

"You can't use your pyrokinesis though," Bethany pointed out. "Just to keep it fair."

"That's fine, I usually work without it anyways," he replied.

The test was simple enough but it was hard, they did a strength test, it was the same sort of thing that Izuku had to do on his first day at UA, they also did sparring and rather difficult workouts. The American teens were pleasantly surprised when Izuku could easily keep up with everything without using his pyrokinesis.

"That's twenty-five percent of your power!?" Addison exclaimed as Izuku completed a ten-minute plank.

"No, that's twenty percent," he replied simply as he cracked his back.
