He bent his head to kiss her nape, through the opening in her T-shirt.

She involuntantly closed her eyes when he moved up to kiss her neck.

“Who let you in?” she’d wanted to ask sternly, but it came out as a moan instead, as she felt him drag his teeth up to her sensitive ears

“I deviced another way in. one that didn’t involve Amelia pointing a gun to my face”

“You really need to get me introduced to the rest of the household. I’m tired of going through a backdoor” he said, going over to sit down at the work table.

He'd stopped the kisses just like that, dismissing it as if it didn’t just happen, leaving her all high and dry, not to talk of shaken up.

Okay. He wanted to be professional? Well so could she.

“And why should I do that? I’m going to spend the rest of my days with you, for the next one year. Yet you’re not still satisfied with that. You also want the weekends as well. I’m sorry, but my weekends are mine and mine alone Dee” she said intently, going over to sit down too.

“From Dominikov to Dom. Now from Dom to Dee? Seriously? You’re a lawyer so you should know what this is” Sighing, he said; passing some documents to her across the work table.

“Marriage certificates” she whispered, staring right at them

“Sign them. I’ve signed my part already, il mio cuore batte”

“How many languages do you speak Dominikov?”

“Two other, outside English. Russian and Italian. My dad was Italian but my mom was Russian. I rarely speak Russian. Any other language apart from English, I speak to you, is most probably going to be Italian”

“Well, why do you keep on saying them in Italian if I'm not going to understand them? Or correct me if I'm wrong, is that not the essence of conversation? For both parties to understand each other?” she asked getting a pen from her pocket to start signing the documents.

“Maybe they were not for you to understand in the first place”. He cocked his head

“What were they for then?” she asked exasperatedly, pausing to look up at him

“For my pleasure”

she mentally filed down in her head that, she needed a mobile speaking translator. She badly needed to know what he was saying; call it curiosity perhaps.

At least he’d helped her a bit by telling her it was Italian.

“I’m done signing it” she said, locking her pen and passing the document back to him.

“Good. You’re going to be formally announced as my new bride, in the next ball the Order’s going to have, coming up in a month’s time”

“Fine”

“Come with me Viv. They’re already waiting for us by now” Dominikov said, abruptly standing up, grabbing her hands, and walking very fast

“Woah! Woah! Woah! Slow down I’m on heels” she chided

He at once picked her up over his shoulders in the space of a heartbeat, not once slowing his pace.

“What the...drop me down Dominikov. Now!”

He smacked her arse then

“Be quiet! We don’t want to wake Amelia or Jude up”

she yelped, not believing he just did that

“You know what? Maybe we should wake them up, and ask them how they feel, with a stranger taking their mistress out of the house!”

“And then perhaps have to kill them thereafter no? Don’t test me Vivienne” he replied, walking through the front door

“How the heck did you know my password?” she brooded

“Merchant isn’t that hard a word, to figure out” he muttered sarcastically

She heard, rather than saw the vibrations of the helicopter waiting for them outside.

He laid her softly on one of the seats, while he got into the other one, starting to take off. It took her some time to get her beanings right.

“There was no helicopter packed outside when I came in through those doors Dominikov” she was astonished. One hardly missed a strange helicopter parked outside one's house; what with the way it sounded alone, and it's size

“I know” he replied simply.

Suddenly, they heard a loud scream from the ground

“Hey! Land that helicopter! Now!”

A long sniper gun, was already pointed at the helicopter, ready to shoot it down.
